Government Screwels, Again.

Another example of no grace in government. Texas Judge Sentences Honors Student to Jail for Missing School
Diane Tran, 17, works two jobs while taking dual-credit and advanced placement classes at Willis High School in Willis, Texas, KHOU-TV reported. Her parents divorced and moved away, leaving her to support an older brother at Texas A&M University and a baby sister who lives with relatives. She lives with the family of one of her employers, the owners of a wedding venue.

Tran told KHOU she doesn't want to miss school, but is so exhausted sometimes that she can't make it to her morning classes before attendance is taken. Other times she even ends up missing the day entirely.

"She goes from job to job, from school she stays up 'til 7 o’clock in the morning doing her homework," Tran's friend Devin Hill told the station.
She's not out partying with friends, not doing drugs, not drinking. Life dealt her a bad hand and she is making the best of it. The school should be asking if there is anything they can do to help.
Judge Lanny Moriarty warned Tran back in April not to miss any more school; when she missed again last week, he issued a summons and had her arrested in open court Wednesday. Tran was sentenced to a night in jail and ordered to pay a $100 fine.

"If you let one (truant student) run loose, what are you gonna' do with the rest of 'em? Let them go too?" Moriarty asked.
Why is a judge even involved in this, what have the school officials and her teachers been doing? They have no clue what is going on with her? They can't ask? They don't care?

Intimidate and Silence

Drug Cartels to Mexican Journalists: Shut Up or Die
Mexico's drug cartels obviously understand that if they can control the media they can not only shape the perceptions of their enemies, but the rest of the world as well.
This they learned from Marxists.

Walking Towards Paradise?

And it shall be if you do at all forget Jehovah your God and walk after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish. -Deuteronomy 8:19
Muhammad Raped while Bobby Stayed Mum
It is a sad day for Great Britain on the whole, not just for her victimized daughters -- for the nation which at one point had an empire so large that the sun never set on it has now been reduced to a nation of cowards. If a nation cannot perform its most basic obligation to protect its citizenry because its leaders prioritize protecting their multicultural ideology, that nation and its culture are dead.
If you are walking in darkness you will not see where you are going, you have no reference to get your bearings, you will easily get lost. You may even walk right over a cliff you never saw. That's just common sense, everybody knows that although we often forget in this modern world of artificial light. Well, Yehovah is the light of the world - figuratively. If you walk in His ways and keep His commandments you will be able to make life decisions more clearly, life works better. If you turn off that light you're back to groping around in a very dangerous and confusing world with no sense of where to turn - life becomes much more difficult. When your society turns off the light you just multiplied your troubles, it's a dog eat dog world out there and the strong will eat the weak.

We, America, are headed where Great Britain is. Our leaders are pushing full steam ahead and do not see the danger, or if they do they are leading us into the lions den purposely. Certainly, a large percentage of the people do not see this. I pray it is a much smaller percentage than it seems.

Her Son Could Have Died Because of a Technicality

Government screwels must follow the rules.

Nurse refuses student inhaler during asthma attack
"As soon as we opened up the door, we saw my son collapsing against the wall on the floor of the nurse's office while she was standing in the window of the locked door looking down at my son, who was in full-blown asthma attack," Rudi said.

Michael Rudi said when he started to pass out from his attack, the nurse locked the door.

"I believe that when I closed my eyes I wasn't going to wake up," he said. The Director of Student Health Services, Cheryl Selesky, said that parents must sign the medical release form each year, which allows students to carry their prescribed drugs with them in school.

This year, the district had no record of his Rudi's signature, said Selesky.
"I mean its common sense if I saw an animal on the street in distress I would probably stop to help, why wouldn't she help a child," Sue Rudi said. But Rudi is a senior, and his mother said the district has had records of his asthma throughout his years in the school.

She thinks her son could have died because of a technicality.

"How dare you deny my son something that we all take for granted, breath," said Sue Rudi. "Why didn't someone call 911?"

Selesky said the district is looking into whether proper procedures were followed by the school, and while nurses can't give medications without the proper authorization, it is district policy to call 911 when a student cannot breath.

Selesky could not explain why 911 was never called.

"I understand if you can't give it to him call 911," Sue Rudi said. "Why did you not call 911?"
There is no love or grace in government.
Without grace, the law can become a tyrant.

This One's Gonna Hurt You, Me, Everyone

You thought gas prices were high? Wait till the war on coal hits your electric bill.

Obama's war on coal hits your electric bill
These are the first real, market prices that take Obama's most recent anti-coal regulations into account, and they prove that he is keeping his 2008 campaign promise to make electricity prices "necessarily skyrocket."

The market-clearing price for new 2015 capacity – almost all natural gas – was $136 per megawatt. That's eight times higher than the price for 2012, which was just $16 per megawatt. In the mid-Atlantic area covering New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and DC the new price is $167 per megawatt. For the northern Ohio territory served by FirstEnergy, the price is a shocking $357 per megawatt.

Why the massive price increases? Andy Ott from PJM stated the obvious: "Capacity prices were higher than last year's because of retirements of existing coal-fired generation resulting largely from environmental regulations which go into effect in 2015." Northern Ohio is suffering from more forced coal-plant retirements than the rest of the region, hence the even higher price.

These are not computer models or projections or estimates. These are the actual prices that electric distributors have agreed to pay for new capacity. The costs will be passed on to consumers at the retail level.
Notice how this won't really kick in until after Obama thinks he is re-elected. The most important thing you can do this year is vote Obama out of a job.
The only thing that can stop this massive price hike now is an all-out effort to end Obama’s War on Coal and repeal this destructive regulatory agenda.

We're All Equal

I'm not!

The Intolerance of Liberalism
You know, when you get right down to it, maybe one of the best ways to explain liberalism to the uninitiated is to simply say that it is intolerant. It's a philosophy of "no." It's a philosophy of domination and "no," and it's not at all what people think it is.

It's not open-mindedness. It's not tolerance. It's not good intentions. It's not sweetness and light and love and all that. It's a philosophy of "no." It is intolerant. Socialism, fascism, communism, all forms of liberalism dictate behavior. You must conform. Individuals? Private businesses? You must conform to what they say. And if you don't they'll pass laws and regulations that force you to. And in order to have uniformity, there must be an enforcement mechanism, because people are not the same.

The People's Monster

Dennis Prager: Rational people fear big gov't, not big business
Whatever bad big corporations have done is dwarfed by the monstrous crimes – the mass enslavement of people, the deprivation of the most basic human rights, not to mention the mass murder and torture and genocide – committed by big governments.

How can anyone who thinks rationally believe that big corporations rather than big governments pose the greatest threat to humanity? The answer is that it takes a mind distorted by leftist dogma. If there is another explanation, I do not know what it is.
As for greed: Between hunger for money and hunger for power, the latter is incomparably more frightening. It is noteworthy that none of the 20th century’s monsters – Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao – were preoccupied with material gain. They loved power much more than money.

And that is why the left is much more frightening than the right. It craves power.
Government has guns, bombs, police, military - who is to stop an over-sized corrupt government from doing anything it wants? The most a corporation can do is bribe the corrupt big-government politician who wields the power - unless we deny them that power while we still can. And you want an all-powerful world government? So if the government goes all Hitler on us there will be no one to save the day? Maybe we'll be saved by extraterrestrials, yeah, that's the ticket.

The State of Government Schooling

NC Teacher Screams at Student: It's Criminal to Criticize Obama
The school district classified the exchange – which is obviously just another case of a pro-Obama teacher shoveling her views down students' throats – a "learning experience." It isn't. It's political intimidation, and it's just another example of how the American public school system has become an indoctrination tool for the left. This teacher should be suspended or fired forthwith, if only for incompetence.
You can listen to the whole exchange below.

That's not "learning experience," that's a train wreck. Listen to the lack of respect on the part of the teacher and on the part of the students. And the language that is tolerated. No one is learning in that environment.

The Unteachables: A Generation that Cannot Learn
The greatest tragedy of progressive education is not the students' lack of skills, but of teachable character.

Food Nazis

They're going to peoples homes trying to confiscate raw milk in California.
The report said Los Angeles County health department officials have unleashed door-to-door raw milk confiscation teams to threaten and intimidate raw dairy customers into surrendering raw milk products they legally purchased and own.
They don't care this much about illegal drugs. Where are all the people dying from raw milk ingestion?

Back into Bondage Again

A selection from the chapter on Liberty in The Lonely God by Ronald L. Dart

But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again. Therefore, this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim 'freedom' for you, declares the LORD - 'freedom' to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth. Jeremiah 34: 16-17

These were not slaves of a conquered country, by the way. They were supposed to be contractual servants of their own people. But the contract had been broken.

What Jeremiah is telling them is this. Since they were not willing to accept the liberty defined by the law, they would be granted complete freedom. They would be free from God's blessings and protection, free to suffer whatever evil the world had in store for them.

And this is the reason we have so many terrible things in our lives. It is because we have made choices that have brought them our way. We have made choices that have taken us out of the road that God wanted us to walk. We have made choices that have brought bad things upon us, our own sins have opened the door for these things to come upon us.

We have exercised our freedom, and God has granted to us a liberty, a liberty to pain, destruction and loss that sin brings with it.

Freedom is a heavy burden to be borne. It is sad to say that some people, freed from servitude, want to go back. Just as Israel, freed from the slavery of Egypt wanted to go back, some men who have been freed from jail want to return. Men have actually committed crimes in order to get back into prison where they were fed and clothed, where they knew the routine and how to live. They have become so institutionalized that they can't live well outside. And so they go out and do the same things that they did before, and back they go.

There are some on the outside who are of the same mind. They want to be taken care of, they want to lay their freedom down, they want to be slaves. They want to be servants because then, someone else can take care of them.

Freedom, after all, is a terrible burden. I know it must be, because we complain about it so much. We have a litany of complaints about freedom. We ask, "Why does God allow war?" That's a complaint about our freedom. "Why does he allow innocent children to suffer?" That is also a complaint about our freedom. "Why did God allow the Holocaust?" Well that's a complaint against the freedom of both Nazis and Jews.

We have the freedom to do good. We have the freedom to hurt. We have the freedom to harm, and if we have it, so do others. If others have that freedom we have the freedom to suffer from what they do. Freedom is a terrible word. It's a frightening word, a dangerous word. And when you understand it, it is the freedom of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Remember that the way the Bible uses the word "knowledge" in Genesis refers to the experiencing of good and evil.

Adam and Eve made the choice of experiencing good and evil, and we have been living with that choice ever since. Man was told what to do and left free not to do it. He was told what not to do and left free to do it anyway. That's what freedom is. But we want selective freedom, we want to be free to do what we want to do, but not free enough to experience the consequences of what we have done.

The irony of it all is that as we exercise our freedom to choose, what we choose leads us back into bondage again and again and again. And this is why in His original law, God made provision for freeing people. For some people, it required freeing them again and again. In a lifetime, some people could have managed to be slaves and free every seven years. In the same way, some people today are in and out of prison time after time. In every generation, there are people who just can't seem to keep their life together. It may not lead to prison, but each, in his own way, goes back into bondage again.

Burglaries in the House of Theives

House Burglaries Baffle Staff, Police
Puzzling break-ins over the last month at the offices of at least three House members and several committees have U.S. Capitol Police gumshoes working to find a pattern and the culprits, with missing items ranging from cash and expensive computer equipment to autographed baseballs and alcohol.

In at least four of the cases, thieves broke into the offices at night when doors were locked, leading some staffers to believe they were victims of an inside job.
Inside job, eh? What a shock.

The Law of God is Glorious, but...

A couple of meaningful quotes from Law & Covenant by Ronald L. Dart.
The Law of God is glorious, but the law is not God. God is gracious. The law does not have that capacity. Without grace, the law can become a tyrant. With grace, it can become a way of life. God is not like a computer. God is personal, and kind, and merciful, and forgiving.
And, by the way, this is another reason why Statism/Communism/Fascism/Marxism, et al, can never work. There is no grace in government and there never can be.
I have often heard it said that no one can keep the law perfectly. The statement is entirely true, and completely irrelevant. The law is not given to define perfection. It is given as a guide to life. The purpose of the law is stated quite simply by the psalmist: "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105). It is there so we won't fall down and hurt ourselves.

Will Smith Says Something Nice About America

I wonder if he realizes that? Will Smith is talking taxes in France, he was saying that he had no problem paying taxes until he heard that his tax rate in France would be 75 percent.

To me though, the money quote is this one:

"I am a black man who didn't go to college, yet I get to travel around the world and sell my movies and I feel very firmly that America is the only place on Earth that I could exist..."

--Will Smith
America has been the best country in the world for the most people - EVER. I wish more people would say it publicly because it is the truth. There are generations of Americans who DON'T KNOW THIS because they have been taught otherwise by people who don't have the children's or America's best interests at heart. Somehow it has become 'uncool' to love America, to the detriment of the whole world.

Walking in Darkness

He talks about the ground baby pills from China but hits a lot of other very important topics. It's not exactly 'Sunshine TV' but if we keep ignoring the growing evil in the world we will be overcome by it. Maybe we can't do anything directly about the rest of the world but we can do something right here in America. If not, what you're trying to ignore will come kicking in your door.

I've often wondered what it was like for those living in ancient Israel when God sent them a prophet, someone to warn them that they needed to turn back from the road they were traveling, to stop breaking the commandments and do the right thing. That prophet was always the least popular guy around, always, and that's putting it mildly. I'm not saying Glenn Beck is a prophet, certainly not in the sense that God speaks to him and tells him what to say and do, but in another sense he is pointing out that we are on the wrong track, that we need to turn back to God, that we are heading for trouble that we can't even imagine. And he's right. I think I know what it's like to live among people like ancient Israel now. God help us.

Law and Covenant

Been rereading a great book. I forgot how good it really is.
Is the law of God beyond our reach? No, not in any of its parts. We don't have to steal, but we do. We don't have to lie, but we do. So what is it about sin that is so bad? The problem with sin is that it is a relationship killer. It alienates. Take adultery as a classic example. An indiscretion like adultery is like taking an axe to a tree and cutting great chunks out of it. Even if the adultery is undiscovered, the relationship is damaged, sometimes beyond repair. And it isn't only the relationship with the mate that is damaged. The relationship with God is damaged as well.

Sin involves alienation from God. There is no better illustration of this than the story of Adam and Eve. The happy pair were placed in Paradise, and given very simple instructions: You can eat of all the trees in this garden except one. Leave it strictly alone. How hard could this have been? All they had to do was believe God. Think about it. God said that if you eat of this tree, you will die. If they had really believed that, would they have eaten of it? Would you? What they did was a breach of trust. What is your reaction when someone won't believe you, won't trust you? Doesn't it damage the relationship? Or at least reveal that the relationship is in trouble?

I went on for years accepting a simple equation from the Garden of Eden. God gave Adam one commandment. Don't eat of that tree. Adam broke the commandment and God expelled the first couple from the garden. Then one day I was studying the Book of Hosea and found that God, through the prophet, condemned the men of that generation and saying this of them: "Like Adam, they have broken the covenant - they were unfaithful to me there" (Hosea 6:7 NIV)

A covenant is not mentioned in the creation story, but it is implied. God gave Adam a commandment and presumably Adam agreed. Then, he broke covenant with God. This seems to be a much more serious matter than for a person to sin when not in covenant with God.

So Adam and Eve ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And they died. But here is what is interesting about this story. God did not kill them. He simply separated himself from them - and incidentally, cut them off from the Tree of Life. What this says to me is that the result of this sin was not punishment from God, but the consequence of being alienated from God.

This is underlined by what happened when Cain killed his brother Abel. God did not kill him either. He exiled him. And Cain, and all the rest of the children of Adam and Eve, died. They died because they were away from God - the source of all life. This is what the "fall of man" is all about. The result was, I think, not so much a change in human nature, but a change in man's environment and a loss of man's relationship with God. If you read the Genesis story with that in mind, it is clear enough right there. There is not a word about a change in the nature of man, but much about the change in man's environment - particularly his alienation from the source of life.

How's That 'Reset' Working Out For Ya

Russia Threatens Pre-Emptive Strike on Missile Sites
Russia’s top military officer has threatened to carry out a pre-emptive strike on U.S.-led NATO missile defense facilities in Eastern Europe if Washington goes ahead with its controversial plan to build a missile shield.
I thought Obama wanted to scrap the missile shield, I guess he's just not moving fast enough for Russia. Russia is worried Obama won't have a second term.

Farrakhan Knows Something

Farrakhan Unleashed: Obama Will Be Assassinated by ‘Hardcore Racists, Tea Party Zealots’ in His Second Term (PLUS: They Have Already Found the Muslim to Do It!)

He's preparing his followers, telling them what to believe.
The Nation of Islam leader got more specific with exactly who would be killing the President, calling out the Tea Party and Republicans specifically.

"If our brother wins, and I believe he will, the anger of those hardcore racists, the Tea Party zealots and the Republicans who want to make him a one-term president will be such that perhaps a patsy or two is already being prepared as in the case of John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, James Earl Ray."

The Minister finishes by declaring the assassination conspiracy will involve a Muslim patsy that has already been chosen.

"I believe they want a Muslim to kill President Obama. And I believe they may already have somebody in mind that they working on."
It may be that Obama is just disposable tool to bring about the revolution they so desperately want. His assassination (and subsequent blaming of Tea Partiers and Republicans - white people) would divide this country like it hasn't seen since the civil war. Just look at what happened in the Martin/Zimmerman case. Can you imagine Obama assassinated and Republicans accused? I don't want to see that. The left is playing with gasoline and matches - in the house. Farrakhan has a flame thrower.

For the record, the Tea Party/Republicans want to bring the country together, not divide it. We want peace and prosperity for ALL. We want peaceful change of leadership and we wish all American citizens really understood and lived the real American way, working toward the lofty vision our Constitution pointed to. Yes, we're frustrated, but we're not hateful.

I Think You're Mistaken

New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism

No, not about that. Ties to Marxism and socialism have been rife throughout Obama's campaign and presidency. This is where I think the author is wrong:
The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
They know exactly the history of the symbols and words they use and they use them proudly. You may make an innocent mistake once in a while, but not every time. This is a theme with Obama, it's his thing, it's what he is. His actions match the history.
