Because we are fighting with all the wrong weapons, strategies and tactics. We are fighting with both hands tied behind our backs. We are not recognizing that we are fighting supernatural powers and principalities unarmed and unequipped.
Though we are not doing battle with just men and evil ideas, we are fighting as if we are.
Because if it's not already too late, this is the only way.
No one applauds that they should have the right to marry, big applause when she says the institution of marriage should not exist. We need to stop pretending that Islamic terrorists are not trying to destroy the country from without and we need to stop pretending that progressives are not trying to destroy the country from within. Everything is not OK and everything will not be OK if we continue to ignore the problems. The bridge is out ahead and our leaders have painted a giant paper mural to hide it. But this isn't a Roadrunner cartoon and real people are going to suffer the consequences.
According to St. Cloud Police, a group of students reported hearing gunshots coming from the direction of a wooded area near the schools.
As someone who lives in the area of these schools I can attest that it is not at all unusual to hear gunshots occasionally. It's a rural area, especially on the other side of the wooded area. Cows, horses, roosters and , yes, the occasional gunshot - the sounds of America and freedom.
The story of Katherine Russell is the story of Europe and America. It's the story of what happens when you tolerate and tolerate until you're wearing a Hijab and a black eye and your husband roams the streets murdering your friends and neighbors in the name of the religion you accepted even though you don’t really understand it.
Criminals don't obey laws. They don't get background checks, they don't use ID's to buy guns. Criminals don't buy guns from gun shops. Criminals don't buy guns in any legal form. Criminals steal guns or buy guns that other criminals have stolen - or if guns are outlawed in their country, they smuggle them in. Criminals don't obey laws. Criminals don't obey laws. Criminals don't obey laws. It boggles my mind how many people don't get this.
New Jersey's gun laws are among the strictest in the nation. The state does not allow gun shows, for example, is one of seven states with an assault-weapon ban and one of three with a one-gun-a-month law. New Jersey is also one of 11 states with a waiting period for gun purchases and one of seven with a limit on magazine capacity.
OK, so they still have problems with violence? Maybe it's not the guns causing it. So, what's missing?
Gov. Chris Christie on Friday unveiled a multi-faceted plan to curb gun violence in New Jersey that includes expanding government-funded mental health treatment, requiring parental sign-off before children can buy or rent violent video games, and mandating that ID presented by would-be gun-owners is government-issued.
The Republican's plan also includes a ban on the sale of Barrett .50-caliber semi-automatic sniper rifles, bail reforms that would make it harder for people suspected of violent gun crimes to be released, and provisions to make it easier for courts and health care professionals to involuntarily commit people they consider violent to a psychiatric hospital.
Not that long a go New Jersey closed most of its government-funded mental health treatment centers (psychiatric hospitals), children are already prohibited from buying 'M' rated games, and criminals don't use id's to buy guns. I'm also quite sure the Barrett .50-caliber rifle has been a huge problem for New Jersey - used by exactly zero criminals to commit zero crimes. Bail reforms are fine, but how about making sure career criminals stay behind bars until they are incapable of resuming their careers - no more multi-page rap sheets. I also have no problem with committing the violently mentally ill as long as it can't be abused - disagreeing with progressive politicians is not mental illness.
New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts should get together and build a wall around their states to keep their tax revenues in, keep the people from migrating and spreading the progressive disease, and remind the rest of us not to go there. California, too, but they can keep the southern border open.
Once you subscribe to indiscriminateness, anything other than indiscriminateness is the evil of having discriminated.
--Evan Sayet
You can't reach them because obviously you are wrong for having discriminated and your opinion is blocked out. I'm still trying to figure out a way to use this theory to reach people. It's one thing to understand the thinking, quite another to change minds that are locked into this mindset. And yet, this mindset has so beset our nation that unless many of these 'zombies' wake up we are headed for disaster. You can't just ignore them and move on when they vote the rug right out from under you.
I thought that using zombies might not be a good choice of word (because of the popularity with "killing" zombies lately) and thought of 'walking dead.' And that may be a good description of what they are: spiritually dead. No oil in the lamp. It may be that only God can bring someone back from that state. And there are many, many "Christians" who follow this thinking of indiscriminateness. God is love, love is all they need, ignore anything else - no standards, no laws, there is only love. It's crazy.
I don't know, this is not a planned, thought out post, just some random thoughts.
Ashley Baldwin spoke Thursday of starting there at age 15 through a high school training program, and soon assisting with abortions and administering intravenous drugs. Baldwin, now 22, said she worked nearly 50-hour weeks, often well past midnight, when abortions were routinely performed.
At least twice, she saw aborted babies move after the procedure, only to have Gosnell explain that it an (sic) involuntary response. In one case, she said, "the chest was moving."
If we can 'save even one child' we should. --Obama. Except the ones the "Progressive Elite" deem undesirable.
I don't know what is worse, what went on in that clinic (and I'm sure it's not the only one) or the lack of reaction to it. I mean, shouldn't they be trying to ban scissors by now?
The electronic magic they put into this car is amazing and I guess if you can afford the car you wouldn't have to worry about what it costs to fix, but, when this technology becomes more mainstream you will never again be able to get your parts down at the local Autozone and spend an afternoon wrenching in your driveway. In fact, the cars today that use a lot of technology to control everything are too expensive to fix for it to be worth it. We are heading toward throw away cars with maybe a 10 year life. After 10 years the electrical systems start giving problems, you get all kinds of gremlins, and corrosion sets in. I've had German cars before and they are far from immune to this problem.
University of Rhode Island (URI) police responded to a call of a gunman on campus last week with pepper spray and batons,
Deputized campus police officers in Rhode Island are apparently prohibited from carrying firearms on public campuses,
“Simply more guns in the mix isn’t a solution to violence on university and college campuses,” Christine Hunsinger, the communications director for the state’s Gov. Lincoln Chaffee, told Campus Reform.
Basically, if a bad guy has a gun, a good guy with a gun only makes matters worse. So take away all the guns from the good guys and things won't be as bad. See? Simple!
"I've been through it. I’ve been there. You people don’t know what freedom is because you never lost it! You haven’t been tortured. You haven't been [sic] assassinations. You haven't been — mothers begging for the life of their son not to be killed because the only reason is they want is to be free. And they killed the mothers, and they killed the son."
One of the gun-grabbing members of Michael Bloomberg’s organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, recently found himself trying to lure a man into a sexual encounter through the liberal use of alcohol. When the charm and alcohol didn’t do the trick, James ‘Jay’ Schiliro (R) decided to go a different route – firing a handgun into a wall in an attempt at intimidation.
Schiliro, 38, allegedly ordered a local police officer to bring a 20-year-old male friend to his home, where the mayor plied him with alcohol, and made sexual advances which the man refused. Schiliro allegedly brandished several handguns and fired one of them into the floor in an apparent attempt to intimidate the young man, who reportedly was in fear of his life.
Organized crime has moved into the government in a big way (because that's where the money and power is). Sometimes they forget themselves and think they are back in the old days of brazen criminality with no consequences. To top it off - using the police to bring his "playthings" around. Pathetic.
You're an honest citizen who followed all the rules. When you left AnyTown, USA Airport, you were treated respectfully when you made your firearm declaration. Your luggage, with the TSA lockbox, was inspected and cheerfully accepted for your flight to JFK or LaGuardia and you had no problem retrieving your luggage in New York,” Kane’s website states. "But when you came to the airport to return home and followed the same approved procedure, all hell broke loose. You were arrested, spent several hours or overnight in custody, appeared before a judge where the DA asked for humongous bail, and you were finally released and told to come back with a lawyer. Now you're scared and fighting mad at the same time. What's going on?"
It's perfectly legal anywhere else but in New York it can get you a felony and 15 years in jail. There is no way that should ever happen to anyone, it's completely ridiculous. I think New Jersey is similar.
It's easy to say don't fly with a gun if you are going to New York, but what if you are not going to New York and your flight is diverted? They don't care, same thing happens.
We live in the Age of Feelings, and an entire generation of Americans has been raised to consult their heart to determine right and wrong.
If you trust the human heart, you should be delighted with this development. But those of us raised with biblical wisdom do not trust the heart. So when we are told by almost every university, by almost every news source, by almost every entertainment medium that the heart demands what is probably the most radical social transformation since Western civilization began – redefining marriage, society’s most basic institution, in terms of gender – it may be wiser to trust the biblical understanding of marriage rather than the heart’s.
My heart, too, supports same-sex marriage. But relying on the heart alone is a terribly flawed guide to social policy. And it is the Bible that has produced all of the world’s most compassionate societies.
This, then, is the great modern battle: the Bible and the heart vs. the heart alone.
When the survivors of the Holocaust speak, the rest of us would do well to listen. As one of the survivors of their liberation told his story, he included how the SS guards changed into civilian clothes and tried to hide. The G.I.s had the survivors point them out so they could be dealt with. Then he said something never to be forgotten: "These men were not human. Human beings don't do what they did." How literally should that be taken? Was he speaking figuratively, saying that the men responsible for the camps were lacking pity, kindness or mercy? Or was he speaking literally, suggesting a nonhuman class of beings?
Demonic Warfare is an excellent 30 minute talk that deals with what we are fighting right now. If you don't understand this then you can't understand what is happening to us.
The fact is, no one knows what will be the long-term effects of such a massive redefinition of society's most important social institution. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan thought she scored some points when she demanded that the lawyer defending California's Proposition 8 tell her the exact "harm" gay marriage would cause. Of course, the point is that we don't know how such a social experiment will turn out, or what specific "harm" will follow, no more than we know the benefits. Nor can Kagan or anyone else assure us that no harm whatsoever will result from redefining an institution thousands of years old. That's why prudence is in order. Think back to the "liberationist" movements of the 60s that radically reshaped sexual mores and gender roles, which in turn led to easy divorce, abortion on demand, and guilt-free sexual experimentation. No one at the time, except for repressed and despised neo-puritanical squares, said anything about the possible harmful consequences of such massive social experimentation. We sure know now what they are -- fatherless children, broken homes, illegitimate birth, venereal plagues, sexuality dehumanized in popular culture, women debased into sexual instruments, and a declining birthrate that threatens our economic future.
Again, the spirit of evil behind the agenda, behind all of the destructive agendas of our time, is not interested in the happiness of gays, or about fairness, or about poor people. It is about destruction of what is and when the house of cards falls, it falls on all the people inside. ALL.
Be very careful what you wish for because you just might get it - along with all the consequences that come with it.
