Remember last year when the government mailed out checks as a tax refund? Well, I was under the impression it was a refund from the previous tax filing when in fact it was an Advance Child Tax Credit and must be posted against your 2003 taxes. If that was the case I would rather they didn't mail it out in advance. Some people who thought they were due refunds will be shocked.
