Here's a closer shot of the chicks. It interesting how they instictively stay in the shadows. This morning when I came home from work I pulled in and there was a pile of feathers on the driveway under a tree. I parked and got out to investigate and came face to face with a hawk on a low branch pulling a mockingbird apart. We looked at each other for a moment, then it turned and flew in the opposite direction with the bird in it's claws. So the danger for those chicks is very real.

Here's a picture of the turkeys with their chicks. It is so hard to get a picture of the chicks and they are in the shade here in my back yard. If you make any movement towards them they will disappear.

In fact, the majority of Americans would laugh at any such proposal. Hard. Which is why we are losing all the core values that made America great and the country that goes along with them.

All this is more than a hunch on my part. It has to do with core values. One party has them, and the other doesn't. The Democratic Party's leaders may look like traditional Americans. They may say they support Israel. They may "stand with our troops" in Iraq. They may go to church and take communion. They may even sing, "God Bless America" on the Capitol steps – but increasingly their inner thought life is not what it seems to be.

Inside they seethe at "red state" America. We watch the weird, angry behavior of prominent Democrats like Al Gore, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean or even John Kerry and we scratch our heads in wonder. Who are these people? What are they thinking? What caused all this anger, and why is it directed at fellow Americans? The furious fringe is taking over the party. They are solidified in their sense of victimhood. They aren't looking for compromise, but for total victory – revenge almost – in fulfilling their vision for a new America, one that has nothing to do with biblical Christianity or Judaism, the pumping heart of true Americanism.

Everyone is talking about the growing red-state /blue-state divide in America. The words "parallel universe" have even been used to describe the two ethics that dominate our political scene. To put it simply, the red side believes in "one nation, under God," and the blue side doesn't. We think rights come from our Creator, they think rights come from our government. We think there are moral absolutes, they think everything is relative, including the Constitution.

What took so long? It's been so obvious for so long now. Of course, it is getting worse and worse, so I guess people who haven't really been paying attention may be waking up now. One can only hope.

Let The Police Handle It

Mob of kids chase down suspicious stranger

Wielding baseball bats and sticks, a mob in northwest Houston today chased down a man suspected of preying on neighborhood children in recent weeks.

"We know him. The whole neighborhood knows him," said Carlos Gonzalez.

Residents told police the 44-year-old man tried to lure children into his van last week while it was parked at a nearby elementary school. They also accused him of hugging a 12-year-old boy on Saturday while he was wearing women's clothing.

Sharp-eyed neighborhood children initiated the pursuit of the suspected child predator.

"The little kids spotted him. The little kids started the chase," Gonzalez said. "All the little kids in the neighborhood -- they had sticks an everything."

The guy's been around so much everyone knows him. He hasn't yet done anything they could arrest him for (?) but you know where this behavior is headed. It's scaring the kids and the parents. People shouldn't be prisoners in their own home because of people scumbags like this. What can the police do about it, even if they arrested him he would be back out in no time. What judge would sentance a man to jail for wearing womens clothes and hugging a child these days? They'd prefer to give him a medal. But ...

The mob cornered the man in a fenced-in yard near Granite and Bolin where he waited for police to arrive.

The homeowner called police and pleaded with the crowd to not harm the man. Gonzalez said the man dropped a bundle on the ground which contained a girl's shirt wrapped around several pictures of small children.

"He was sitting there sniffing the shirt, laughing at us," Gonzalez said.

Officers arrested the man when they discovered the van he was driving had been stolen. They found several pairs of socks, a boy's T-shirt and a pair of girl's underwear inside the vehicle.

Though arrested for car theft, detectives were attempting to determine if he had been under investigation on child molestation or related charges.

While nobody was hurt during Sunday's pursuit, officers said citizens shouldn't take the law into their own hands.

"You need to call law enforcement and let us handle that," said Houston police officer S.A. Burk.

Yes, that's right. The criminal has to be able to get away.

Police said officers have responded to two calls in the area in the recent past, but none resulted in any arrest.

I'm not for vigilante justice but the pendulum has swung way too far in the other direction. There is no way the police can be there to save you're butt except by pure accident. Let the criminal do whatever he wants and when he has safely gone, call the police to help you. NO, this neighborhood did the right thing. You want to come around here causing trouble, you're going to get more trouble than you bargained for.

"I hope he doesn't come back," Martinez said. "Something bad is going to happen if he shows up around this neighborhood."

Pope Encourages Pilgrimages to Holy Land

The economy in the Holy Land is going down the toilet and the number of Palestinian Christians decreasing so the Pope is encouraging "pilgrimages of peace" to the Holy Land to express solidarity with the local Christians and put a little money in their pocket as well.

Actually this is quite interesting. If things get worse in the Holy Land, the Pope himself may have to go there to help things along and perhaps save some of the sites holy to Christians. I can't see him just abandoning them. How many people will visit the Holy Land if the Pope is there? Let's just say ... alot.

Decisions, Decisions

You're country is occupied (temporarily) by a foreign power. Their soldiers are friendly to the general population but come under attack by terrorists and the attacks can literally come from anywhere at anytime. Aircraft and helicopters are flying at all times ready respond to enemy fire.

Now you're at a wedding party. Normally you would fire guns into the air in celebration, but given the present circumstances you think it perhaps prudent to halt that practice while the foreign power is still in control of the area. Naaaaa!

The best thing any immigrant to the United States can do for themselves is learn to speak english as soon as possible. It was only about three years ago my sister-in-law couldn't speak english, now she is taking college courses, just got certification for selling Real Estate and is doing very well. She speaks english better than alot of Americans I see come through the hotel every day. If you don't learn english you are limiting yourself and those who enable you to put off learning english are doing you no favors. Learn english and the opportunities of America are opened to you.

I have continually warned that, instead of trusting in God for our deliverance, we have trusted in “allies.” Read, archived in our web site, the commentary on how the Saudis claim to be “cooperating” with the U.S. in the war on terrorism. We have tried to “buy” the friendship of the corrupt Saudi government because of our dependence on foreign oil. God says of His people, “She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies” (Lamentations 1:2).

One of the great curses prophesied to come upon us is that “The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low” (Deuteronomy 28:43).

Milton Friedman, the Nobel-Prize winning US economist and one of the most influential economists of the 20th Century believes there is a "strong possibility" that the 12 member euro zone could collapse "in the next few years".

In an exclusive interview with the EUobserver, Professor Friedman argues, "there is a strong possibility that the euro zone could collapse in the next few years because differences are accumulating between countries ... I'm not saying it is a certainty, just that it is a strong possibility".

Turkey Time

The turkeys have been around lately showing off their beautiful little chicks. Actually, not showing them off too much, they are so small and camouflaged that you really have to look hard to see them. You know they are there when the mother is just standing there at full attention staring in your direction. If you look close you will see a head pop up now and then. They are very cute.

Husband Mart

A store that sells husbands has just opened in Dallas, TX where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men. The store is comprised of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights. There is however, a catch as you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building.

So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads: Floor 1 - These men have jobs. The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's further up?

So up she goes. The second floor sign reads: Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love, kids. The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's further up?" And up she goes again.

The third floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking. "Hmmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"

The fourth floor sign reads: Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and help with the housework. "Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there must be more, further up!"

And again she heads up another flight. The fifth floor sign reads: Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak. "Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me further on?"

So up to the sixth floor she goes. The sixth floor sign reads: Floor 6 - You are visitor 3,456,789,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping Husband Mart and have a nice day.

The Opposite Is True

Australian Muslims are upset with KISS star Gene Simmons because he spoke out against Islam. Among other things he said:

But, according to Chairman of the Islamic Council of Victoria Yasser Soliman

"A number of his claims regarding women and what they are allowed to do and not do are wrong - Islam teaches the opposite," he said.

So, apparently, Muslim women in Australia have become very westernized - it's the men who have to walk behind the women and the men are not allowed to be educated or own houses. They're just like the rest of us!

UFO's Are Back

And it's all Bush's fault!

Iran and Mexico have recently had some close encounters.The Mexican article includes this paragraph:

"Hundreds of videos (of UFOs) exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. ... The armed forces don't perpetuate frauds."

That's right, and don't you forget it.

So, what are they? Little green men? You might be surprised to know that I believe there are beings from another dimension that live both on the Earth and beyond. They have in the past had contact with human beings and to a certain extent still do but rarely in a visable, physical form (there was a time when visable contact with humans was common, that is no longer the case). In fact they are very concerned with what we do here and influence us in many ways, everything up to and including causing wars. But ...

The most likely explanation for the UFO sightings, and the one that I believe is this:

While X-files and UFO extra-terrestrial believers say the video is clear proof of some form of spacecraft visiting Earth, the sighting can be attributed to the Bush defense budget and not little green men. The unidentified aircraft that shadowed the Mexican surveillance plane are reportedly part of a squadron of new stealth strike craft operating from the U.S.

The aircraft are equipped with special infrared light panels that are only visible to special cameras or night vision gear. The panels are used in formation flying outside of hostile airspace to prevent the aircraft from colliding with each other or with support aircraft such as refueling planes. The panels are especially handy during aerial refueling with U.S.A.F. tankers, allowing the tanker operators to visually monitor the stealth planes in total darkness.

Different Day

Everything is Bush's fault, including the brutal murder of Nick Berg. Any idiot knows that. Only idiots know that. If we weren't fighting them in Iraq, they would never come over to our country and kill us here, would they? We need to let them alone, kill all the Jews for them and give them massive amounts of money every year so they can finally incorporate us into their peaceful religion. All will be well.

Anyway, life goes on. James and I made meatballs today. He had fun rolling them into balls, and every other shape he could think of. Thank God we still live in relative peace over here.

When my mother was visiting we would watch the fireworks at Disney at 9pm from the balcony. I couldn't help imagining they were bombs going off, it looked alot like the pictures from Iraq and they were going up in two different parks so it looked like a larger area. Those bombs could be going off over here like that, in fact the reality of that is getting closer and closer. I don't want that, but if the alternative is to be subject to the United Nations, or to Islam, or to the liberals warped idea of utopia and to lose the precious freedom we have here (and only here, but we're quickly losing that from internal attacks), well, then it's going to come to that. It doesn't matter who is in charge anymore. The Democrats want to leap into the arms of the enemy but the Republicans are too weak to hold off the dam breaking. Our enemies surround us and they patiently get stronger and stronger by our own technology.

For the days will come on you that your enemies will raise up a rampart to you, and will surround you, and will keep you in on every side.

Blindsided

Beijing makes its move in Latin America

China's Defence Minister, Chi Haotian, has said that war with the United States is inevitable. As Chi well knows there is more than one way to wage war - and this is where the canal comes in. It provides Beijing with a base from which to create enormous mischief for the US while piously claiming that its presence is merely a commercial one.

Ho hum. This is another subject the American people have no interest in. That's good for China. Unfortunately, that's bad, yes, that's very bad for the United States of America. What the hell, maybe if we ignore our problems they will go away.

Beijing's strategy is not primarily one of establishing pro-Chinese regimes but of creating a massive running sore that will drain US political and military resources. This, the regime reasons, will weaken America's Asian presence and so make it easier for China to drive her out of the Pacific-Asian region, leaving Hawaii as its only Pacific base.

This is not a fantasy. Why else did Beijing provide missile know-how and nuclear weapons technology to the likes of North Korea, Pakistan, Iran and Libya? Because it would generate political tension and fuel conflicts that would tie up US military resources.

Four years ago I wrote:

"Why did Clinton allow the canal to fall into Beijing's hands? Because, incredible as this will seem, he thinks of Beijing as a 'strategic partner' of sorts and not a potential enemy. Clinton belongs to that peculiar school of thought that sees conflict, particularly war, as the tragic outcome of misunderstandings between basically decent and reasonable people ? except for fascists, of course, meaning those who challenge his beliefs and premises. Impervious to reality, those who cling to this suicidal-like vision accuse their critics of bad faith and dismiss their patriotic warnings as alarmist, ridiculous, hateful and so on".

As Islamofascists strive to demoralize allied troops the American media and many Democratic politicians and their followers direct their anger and hate not against those who murder American troops but against President Bush, just as Beijing strategists predicted.

The only thing Beijing's warlords understand and respect is power and the will to use it. America still has the power and, under Bush, has demonstrated the will to use it. So guess whom Beijing is rooting for in the coming presidential election? Clue: it isn't Bush.

Erasure

After what happened to Nick Berg in Iraq, the past 2 weeks news events regarding the prisoner abuse by Americans has been completely erased in my mind. So much time and money wasted on a non-story, but then, what else is new? Don't get me wrong, I don't condone what was done but it was being and should be taken care of internally by the military and for congress to get involved and the news organisations to broadcast it 24 hours non-stop for 2 weeks is way beyond over the top. I'm with this guy. It's outrageous to be so outraged by what a few Americans did when compared to what these terrorist are doing and plan to do. They have promised more executions as if we didn't already know. The military should be allowed to take off it's gloves and untie it's hands and do whatever it takes to put these peope down - now. These people should not even be prisoners, we shouldn't be taking prisoners - just keep shooting till nothing moves. It sounds harsh to virgin American ears but it is the only way to win this war.

The American people still just don't get it. The Arabs are in this all the way. Their civilization is failing, their countries falling apart - everything they touch withers and dies. Their god does not answer their prayers. They've painted themselves into a corner and the only way out for them (they think) is to destroy America and Israel. Anything short of that is a humiliation they can't bear. Americans seem to have no idea of the seriousness of this. I don't care how strong we are militarily, if the country's heart is not in this we will lose. And if we lose this it will not be like Vietnam when we just bring our troops home, get high, and try to forget. Life as you know it will cease to exist. If we pull back, they will increase their attacks. They made the rules and this is a cage match, only one side is going to leave alive.

BTW, the silence from even the American muslim community is deafening.

My mother was visiting this week and we said goodbye tonight. As we left the hotel and got to the car James said, "Dad, I like this hotel." "You do?" I asked, "Why?" His answer was: "Because it has Grandma there."

Watching the News Lately is Torture

This and this pretty much sum up my feelings about this torture scandel. It's getting way too much news time, the people involved should be punished and it should be made clear through the chain of command that this will not be tolerated and we are not there to torment prisoners. Period.

One more thing. It would never occur to me to have prisoners strip down for any reason at all unless they were going to take a shower. In fact the very thought of seeing these men (or any men) naked is repulsive. Why are they naked in all the pictures? Who were these people doing this? Are they gay? That is the only possible reason I can think of why they would be naked. If the prisoners were women at least I could understand why they took their clothes off but not men, never, not for any reason. No.

I'm not saying a gay man is more likely to torment an Iraqi prisoner than a hetorosexual man, both are equally capable of wrongdoing, just more likely to torment a naked Iraqi prisoner, provided that prisoner is a male. The opposite is true for female prisoners.

This whole thing is stupid and we need to get over it.

Hamas said the bomber was on his way to try to infiltrate into Israel, accompanied by another Hamas member and a guide, when they were stopped by the armed men.

The robbers forced the bomber to lie on the ground and tried to steal the bomb, but the militant detonated it, killing all three. The other Hamas man and the guide escaped.

They even try to steal each others bombs? How bizarre.

There have been cases of rival groups stealing each other’s explosives, but no group claimed the two gunmen, and their families did not go to the hospital to take the bodies, indicating that the two were not militants, who are revered in Palestinian society.

Hillary to Arab paper: Bush endangers Mideast

U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton, speaking to London-based Arab-language daily Asharq al-Awsat, gives aid and comfort to the enemy.

The former first lady, whose remarks were published throughout the Middle East and Muslim world, said the "stubborn and arrogant" Bush administration has refused to admit mistakes which are endangering the lives of Iraqis and American soldiers and threatening stability in the region.

Clinton told the paper, according to AFP, the U.S. is in trouble because it can't abandon Iraq but is unable to provide the necessary manpower to run the country because of its inability to garner international support.

This was broadcast all over the Arab world. Do you see anything wrong with this? Where is the outrage against this behavior?

The United States of America cannot continue to exist with the divisions it has today. The entire population should rise in outrage against this and she should be embarrased out of office. United we stand, Divided we fall is not just a cute saying. It happens to be a truthful expression. I don't know how long this country has but I will be surprised if in ten years the United States still exists as a country. We are not willing to seriously defend ourselves against a self-proclaimed enemy, being more worried about what they think about us than whether they can kill us. The population is split evenly, polarized around two completely incompatable philosophies. The middle ground is nowhere to be found even after an enemy attack on our own shores. This enemy needs to be put down but the full weight of the power of the United States , needed to defeat this enemy, cannot be used.

What people like Hillary Clinton fail to understand, (or perhaps they understand fully, which is even more digraceful) is that the world wants to see the United States fall. They don't want a strong U.S., they don't want us to be able to defend ourselves. They don't want us to live as well as we do and they want to have control over us, over every part of our lives. They want this because they want to be what we are. But we worked hard (at least our forefathers did) and built this country from nothing. We paid for it with our own sweat and blood. Now we have a generation who doesn't understand that, and the world, like a carjacker, wants to take it away from us. But they will never be able to appreciate what we have and could never duplicate it in a million years. Do we just let them have it?

What a shame.

Since the cease-fire, our troops have had to endure the ludicrous charade of "negotiations" with the Fallujah city fathers - breaking the rule that we never negotiate with terrorists or their surrogates. The resulting "agreement" to turn in heavy weapons led to the mockery of sending the Marines a pick-up truck full of junk while the terrorists gained weeks to prepare their defenses, construct ambushes and organize a far tougher resistance than they could have presented two weeks ago.

Our enemies are laughing at our folly, while creating a myth of heroic resistance in Fallujah - for which we will pay dearly in the months and years ahead.

Make no mistake: There can be no compromise in Fallujah. If we stop one inch short of knocking down the last door in the last house in the city, our enemies will be able to present the Battle of Fallujah to their sympathizers as a great victory: They fought the Americans to a stalemate (with the implication that, next time, the Americans will be defeated and driven from the Middle East).

I received an e-mail today saying someone had sent me over $200.00 for an auction payment. It looked real and I went into my account (not by the link in the e-mail) to check and it was not there. Apparently, you're supposed to click the link in the e-mail and put in your password, which gives the crook you're password and he can wipe out you're account.

How can these people get away with this? We can't trace these back? If they come from overseas perhaps we should put more pressure on these countries to crack down on it. If they don't, cut off access to the Web for that country. There is no inalienable right to the World Wide Web.

If people didn't fall for this stuff they would stop doing it.

Escaping Arab Failure

WE shouldn't be discouraged by the recent round of violence in Iraq. It was predictable. But there were two disheartening signs:

* We should be troubled that, in this bloody month, none of the insurgents waved an alternative constitution - unless we count their perversion of the Koran. None of those violent men is fighting for freedom - they're fighting to strangle liberty in the cradle. They are, without exception, forces of reaction, not liberation, no matter how madly al-Jazeera twists the facts.

* Nor did the general Arab population or its leaders take a public stand against those who would renew their oppression. And those who will not defend their own freedom do not deserve to be defended by others.

With sufficient troops, we can force Iraq's Arabs to behave. But we can't force them to succeed.

If Iraq collapses into medieval fantasies and blood feuds, we still may be proud of having given this crippled civilization a last, great chance to heal itself. We've made mistakes, but their impact is minor compared to the unwillingness of Iraq's Arabs, Sunni or Shi'a, to build a free and civil society of their own.

In the United States, campus-generated political correctness was never more than a joke - capable of turning somber conservatives purple but unable to alter anything that matters. The far more dangerous form of political correctness is that which prevails in the dream-world of diplomacy: We pretend that all civilizations have equal merit.

But they don't. It's time to face up to the functional and moral collapse of the Arab world - if we can't describe the problem honestly, we shall never deal with it effectively.

Arab civilization has failed.

Arab civilization offers its people no promising future, only rhetoric about a past whose achievements have been as exaggerated as they were impermanent. The present is a bloody, heartless muddle.

It's a matter of culture, not race. In the free atmosphere of America, Arabs do as well as anyone else. All populations have their share of talent - but the oppressive environment of the Middle East enervates those individuals it does not crush entirely.

The failure of Arab civilization in our time is the greatest such disaster in mankind's history. And, bitter though we find the proposition, the failure is so colossal that it cannot be neatly contained. Whether in Iraq today or elsewhere tomorrow, we cannot fully extract ourselves from this problem simply because our enemies won't let go.

If Iraq chooses failure, we can leave. But we'll be back, somewhere in the Middle East. Because, as we saw on 9/11, the Middle East will continue to come to us. Blame is the opium of the Arabs, and the sweetest blame for their failures is that directed at the United States (and, of course, Israel). It is our power itself, not its uses, that enrages Arabs trapped in their self-made weakness.

The oft-cited examples of the Arab world's problems, from a lack of interest in secular education and a poor work ethic to staggering corruption and the oppression of women, are symptoms, not root causes, of Arab failure. Past a certain analytical point, we come up against the wall of our own taboos - we cannot admit that the psychological premises of an entire civilization might be dysfunctional. Arab failure isn't about that which has been done to the Middle East, but that which the Middle East has done to itself.

Iraq still has a chance, if a slimmer one than we had hoped. But even if Iraq's Arabs disappoint our ambitions, our efforts will have been worthy and our losses not in vain. Intervention was unavoidable, whatever the critics say. Continued passivity in the face of the Middle East's implosion would only have made the price higher in the end.

We all would be better off were the Arabs to surprise us by building healthy, prosperous, modern societies. We would be foolish not to wish them well. But we would be equally foolish not to prepare ourselves for the consequences of their accelerating failure.

I truly believe this is the last chance for the middle east. They will get to the point of absolutely forcing Western civilization to go in one last time to put a stop to the nonsense going on in there. And, yes, I mean Europe will be there, sick and tired as anyone can be of it all. Weapons of mass destruction will be used, there will be no choice.

Beware the Virus

Today I got an e-mail with a viral attachment. It is the first time I have received one. It was obvious to me because the e-mail was sent as if from my e-mail host telling me I have been sending mail with virus attached. It said more info was attached and said for security I had to use a password, which it gave. I don't use that account for sending mail, only receiving and I have e-mailed and had contact with the owner and I know his style of writing. It was not from them. I reported it to them and scanned for a virus and sure enough, that's what it was.

If you need anti-virus software but can't afford it, there is a solution. Go to Panda Active Scan and use their free online scanner. It works and it will also remove the virus. It is what I used today.

BTW, don't click on any e-mail attachment unless you are 100% sure you know who sent it, you are expecting it and have scanned it for a virus. A virus wouldn't spread if people didn't click on them.

"The Way of the Muslim" is one of the publications on sale at the El Tawheed mosque. Earlier this month the mosque was at the centre of a storm about another book available at its open day organised to help combat the mosque's negative public image.

That book "Fatwas of Muslim Women" says that women who lie deserve 100 blows and the husband's duty of care for his wife is negated if she refuses him sex or leaves the home without his permission. One of its most controversial aspects is the call for Muslim girls to be circumcised.

MPs and media commentators attacked the Amsterdam mosque previously when one of the imams referred to non-Muslims as "firewood for hell". He also forbade Islamic women from leaving the family home without the permission of their husbands.

RTL Television reported on Thursday a cameraman was assaulted when a news team attempted to buy "The Way of the Muslim" at the mosque.

Eventually RTL's female reporter managed to buy the book, albeit while accompanied by police protection.

I've never seen it before and I wondered about it until I mentioned it to someone else who said it was the Space Station in a very low orbit so it is easily seen by eye. I looked on the internet a bit to see if it was true but could not confirm it. It does make sense though. Now every night I think of it as the space station instead of a star or planet.

In a sane world, Lehman's statement would have made headlines across the country the next day. But not one newspaper, magazine or TV show has mentioned that it is official government policy to prohibit searching more than two Arabs per flight.

She also touches on the Gorelick memo.

The person who built that wall described in the infamous 1995 memo, Ashcroft said, "is a member of the commission." If this were an episode of "Matlock," the camera would slowly pan away from Ashcroft's face at this point and then quickly jump to an extreme close-up of Jamie Gorelick's horrified expression. Armed marshals would then escort the kicking, screaming Gorelick away in leg irons as the closing credits rolled. Gorelick was the deputy attorney general in 1995.

The 9-11 commission has finally uncovered the proverbial "smoking gun"! But it was fired by one of the 9-11 commissioners. Maybe between happy reminiscences about the good old days of Ruby Ridge, Waco and the Elian Gonzales raid, Ben-Veniste could ask Gorelick about those guidelines. Democrats think it's a conflict of interest for Justice Scalia to have his name in the same phonebook as Dick Cheney. But there is no conflict of interest having Gorelick sit on a commission that should be investigating her.

Eastern Temple Mount Wall May Collapse

The eastern wall of Jerusalem's Temple Mount is in danger of immediate collapse because of damage caused by the February 11 earthquake, a classified government report issued this week concludes.

New cracks and movements in the already fragile 2,000-year-old wall were discerned by archeologists following the February earthquake, the report states.

I'm surprised it has lasted so long considering all the work going on inside, being done by people who claim Jews never occupied the site or ever had anything to do with it and are destroying significant archeological finds.

Wakf (Islamic Trust) director Adnan Husseini on Thursday said that the report over damage to the wall caused by the earthquake was "incorrect." "We do not understand how such a report could be issued since there is no problem due to the earthquake," he said.

OK then. It's the Palestinian people who will be inside when it finally does collapse. And of course, it will be Israel's fault.

Plainly, the text says each person in the audience heard and understood the speaker in the native language of the listener. They understood what was being said, they were not hearing some strange unknown language or gibberish. Again, the speakers spoke of things pertaining to the Kingdom of God in their language and the listeners heard the message translated into their native language. That's what happened at the first Pentecost and it has not happened since. It was a miracle in the hearing.

I've noticed a proliferation of Jesus documentaries on TV lately. I haven't seen any that really do justice to the subject. There is a book, on the other hand, that shines a light on the subject like no other. A review of the book reads as follows:

Pagans, on the other hand, have a different explanation of Easter. The pagans worshipped the Anglo-Saxon goddess of fertility: Eostre. Her symbol was the rabbit, and this symbol has reached across many cultures, standing the test of time. The pagans further celebrated spring by painting eggs in spring-like colors. But the Christian missionaries were not about to destroy this pagan tradition and alienate the “lost souls.” Christian missionaries were said to celebrate this festival as well, skillfully using the comradeship to minister to them, trying to convert them.

Running Away

But to where do we run, exactly? We learned, or should have learned, on September 11 that we are not safe from the uncivilized world in our own homeland. Given the opportunity they can strike in ways that not only kill innocents, but can devastate our economy and our very way of life. Clearly heading for hills is not an option.

Senator Zell Miller of Georgia said it best. In the battle we now face, there are warriors and there are wimps. In recent days, we have seen the rise of the wimps. Support for the war in Iraq and for President Bush have seriously eroded as a result of the violence in Iraq being committed by those who want us to pick up and run with our tail between our legs.

The enemies of civilization believe that if you kill enough of us, and if you do it on the three 24-hour all news channels who will show the footage hundreds of times, you can get us to get out of town and leave them to do their evil acts and plan for more September 11 attacks.

They believe that we will not die for the freedoms we believe in so the killing and terror continues. That is why they blew up a couple of hundred people in Madrid and wound up moving a government out of power as their reward. Is there any doubt they would go to any lengths to change our government that under President Bush’s leadership has launched the most deadly war against terrorists in America’s history?

Mom gives him a good smack, and sends him up to his room, crying his eyes out. She's irritated now, and turns to the 5 year old with a menacing look. "What do YOU want for breakfast?"

The 5-year-old. terrified, replies between sobs, "I don't know...[sob]...but it sure as hell isn't Cheerios!"

Japan will not turn tail and run away. The Japanese are peace loving and they are in Iraq in a humanitarian capacity, but that in no way is a sign of weakness. The Japanese are a tough and formidable opponent. Ask any G.I. who served in the Pacific during WWII. Ask Koreans and Chinese who have had the experience of being at war with them. If the Islamists push Japan to the point of waging war (not likely, but who knows) they will quickly realize they have made a grave error. I'm not saying America can't pummel these animals into oblivion, in fact, we could do it faster and better than the Japanese if we put our minds to it, but in a war we are too nice. We treat those animals with far more respect than they deserve. We hold back. We take prisoners and treat them well. They aren't afraid of us and they count on our kindness to enable them to kill more of us. That would not happen if Japan were at war with them. They would be very, very afraid.

You do understand that this war against the Islamics is going to escalate terribly and that they are giving us no choice but to wipe them off the face of the earth. Pulling out is not a choice and not going in was not a choice, it would only delay the inevitable. If it gets delayed long enough for them to get themselves some serious weapons (Pakistan), it will be a nuclear war. Nuclear world war. There is nothing we can do or could have done to avoid this. It is in their mind to destroy us and they will not stop. They will not negotiate. And they think they are doing God a favor. It has been such a long time coming, no one could have forseen it. Hind sight is 20/20, get over it. We are not doing ourselves any favors by being nice. Our captives need to be executed and we need to show no mercy on the battlefield. There are no innocents. With the weaponry available around the world we don't have time to bicker and argue and be partison. The very existance of this country is at stake, the lives of your children are on the line. You may not feel the gravity of the situation right now, but it is that serious and you better get a handle on it. We are in the vortex and there is only one way out - it's a very rough ride - and it may be that very few people make it through.

My advice would be to repent, be baptised and keep the commandments (all of them, including the 4th). Get on your knees and ask the Creator of the heavens to forgive you and show you the truth - and as He shows you new truth, keep it, and seek more. It may be He will protect you during the times to come.

When you stop laughing, and I realize you have no intention of doing that, take a long, serious look at the world around you. God is not in or part of this world (and that inludes all the churches, synagogues, temples, and mosques you see). Everything you see going on is the work of your fellow human beings. Most likely, you know we are the product of evolution, therefore we are in this world on our own. If we mess it up, that's the end. Take a serious look again at current world affairs. Look hard, don't ignore what's going on. Can you really say it will all work out? If only Bush wasn't in office things would be better? Islamists wouldn't be attacking us? Kerry, or anyone else, could make the right choices and get us out of this? Do you really believe that? Do you really think it makes any difference who is president to those who would kill us? The only difference is in the ease with which they can kill us. That's all! Can we elect our way out of this mess? The answer, if you are honest with yourself, is NO.

The only thing to do is fight back with no mercy. If we do that, given the state of world affairs today, there is a good chance - better than good chance - that we would be attacked by other countries (China, Russia, Europe, and more) because they would not like us defending ourselves. The U.N. would not take as long to condemn us as it gives its other member states. They not so secretly wish for our demise as well. Still, we really have no choice. History show us our future. Add to the mix the inumerable weapons of mass destruction that exist worldwide and the future does not look pretty. Human nature guarantees it. If God does not exist, evolution will be starting over again soon enough. The Bible says God will wait until the last moment before sending His Son to intervene in world affairs.

for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be.

And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22

There is Palestinian terror for the same reasons there is Muslim terror elsewhere. A significant part of the Muslim world wishes to destroy those non-Muslims -- Americans, Israelis, Filipinos, Nigerians, Sudanese blacks -- who prevent Islam from violently attaining power.

Palestinian Muslim terror emanates from a desire to destroy Israel, not to end Israel's occupation of the West Bank. Other Muslim terror is aimed at weakening the West, America in particular, so that militant theocratic Islam can dominate Muslim-majority societies and then take over other societies, as it is slowly doing in Western Europe.

There are alot of nasty chemicals that can be used as part of a bomb that are easy to obtain legally. It doesn't have to be ricin to be deadly - or horrific.

If they keep this up it will cause us to have no choice but to become very heavy handed in our defense. In other words, serious escalation in the war.
