Which Democrat is Running for President?

San Francisco rolls out the red carpet for the Clintons

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

The common good ... never is.

Just blocks away at San Francisco's historic Ferry Building, President Clinton kicked off the latest leg of his West Coast tour promoting his best-selling book, "My Life." Wearing a navy blue suit and a rust-colored tie, Clinton signed books for at least 3,000 people, many of whom had waited hours under brilliant sunshine to catch a glimpse of him.

A New Bible Version

The Bible for Idiots

Too funny.

These are from a much better version:

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not; nor do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which said, "By hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see and shall not perceive; for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."
Matthew 13:13-15

And He said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God. But to others I speak in parables, so that seeing they might not see and hearing they might not understand. Luke 8:10

I've Heard This Somewhere Before

Alan Keyes warns: 'Republic is dying'

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes is issuing a scathing attack on the nation's judges, saying their recent decisions could soon lead to the demise of the United States as we know it.

"Our republic is dying before our eyes in this generation," Keyes told a South Dakota audience of 1,200 this week, according to the Rapid City Journal. "It's no doubt we could be living in the last days of the American republic."

This country is being attacked from within and without. And there are many fronts in this war, a war that few recognize.

Except for the prospect of impeachment, Keyes offered little hope for the "sorry state of things" caused by a "wicked spirit loose in our world and in America."

Sharpen your swords.

Intel chief: Palestinians still want Israel destroyed

After three years of watching their society be ripped apart by launching the Intifada, the Palestinian people and their leadership still maintain the goal of destroying Israel, according to an assessment released yesterday by Israel's Military Intelligence research chief.

How much do they pay these guys to figure this out?

The Palestinian National Charter, written by Arafat in 1964, calls for a "phased destruction" of Israel through violence and acquiring territory through "peaceful negotiations" to be used to launch a final onslaught against the Jewish state.

Kuperwasser says the Palestinians still want to use the "right of return" of millions of so-called refugees from Israel's War of Independence to flood the Jewish state with enough Arabs to destroy its Jewish character.

Anyone know why Arabs have such single-minded purpose for so long even though they are literally destroying themselves in the process? Is it really such a bother for the Jews to have a little sliver of land? Are Jews really the monsters they are made out to be? Absolutely not! No way! How can so many people have so much hatred and intolerance, so much zeal, so much single-minded purpose that they are willing to live in squalor, put their children on the front lines and literally blow their own children up just for a chance to kill Jews? And celebrate it! Are they inhuman? No. They have been and are being influenced by a very powerful, evil spirit beings - the enemies of God. The entire Middle East region is under their spell. They own that area. They're doing their thing in the rest of the world too but the hatred hasn't reached the zenith it has in the Middle East - at least not yet.

I know that to most people, especially the educated it is anathema to even consider that. Nevertheless, it is the explanation. It is the only explanation and it is the truth. There will be no negotiating with them and you will not change their minds. No human being can reach into that cauldren of hate and talk sense into them or help them up and out of that mess. We are fighting a spiritual battle with physical weapons and God will not help us out of it, we sent Him packing and told Him to take His laws back with him. Unless we repent we are on our own. The time of relative safety is almost at an end and the years ahead of us will be tough. World War II was just a foretaste of what will happen in the future. Don't think so? What will happen when Iran has Nukes? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan already has them. The government of Iran is already extreme but how long before the governments of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan fall to the extremists? There has already been talk of just nuking Israel and any Arabs killed would be exceptable losses. Israel says it will bring down the pillars of civilization before it lets that happen. Will the rest of the world just stand by and let that happen? Perhaps they would be next.

We will not talk our way out of this.

Who Hates America, Who Hates Jews?

Dennis Prager takes a look at who hates America and why we shouldn't be ashamed of it: So, we're hated

Why have the Jews – always among the weakest and smallest of peoples – attracted the hatred of the most evil people? Because of what the Jews represented. The civility of the Jews' lives and the values the Jews brought into the world – especially ethical monotheism, i.e., a standard of right and wrong based on a moral and judging God – made them loathsome in the eyes of those who led particularly uncivil lives and who celebrated moral chaos and cruelty.

Turning to hatred of America, the same questions and answers apply.

Either America is evil, and hatred of it is merited, or America is a decent country and the haters are evil.

The correct explanation is so obvious that only one who already hates America or who is simply morally confused would choose the first.

Jews are hated by the most evil people not just because of what the Jews represent but because of who they are. It was through Judah that God provided the means by which all the efforts of Satan and his cohorts to destroy God's plan and His creation have been rendered useless and in vain. He has been disqualified as king and ruler of the Earth but he is still living here until the return Of Jesus Christ. He tried desperately to destroy Christ at His birth and throughout His life and tempted Him at every turn to get Him to sin just once, thereby rendering Him an unfit sacrifice and killing not only Christ but all humankind, for all time.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Finally, Satan was able to kill Jesus, or so he thought. I'm not sure Satan fully understood that it was God's plan that Jesus Christ must be killed, that He was the unblemeshed sacrifice that would atone for all the sins of humanity and would enable God to give the gift of eternal life to those who repent of living contrary to Gods laws. If he did understand then it was only his blind hatred that caused him to do it, perhaps his reasoning was Jesus would sin if tortured enough. Certainly no human being understood, the Jews were (and still are) expecting the Messiah to lead the physical nation of Israel to it's former glory, even though all the sacrificing that Israel was required to do pointed to the sacrifice of Christ.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

What is not understood is that He would come as a lamb to slaughter first, returning a second time in all the power and glory of the Eternal God, to conquer the nations of the world and bring the government of God (and salvation)to the whole world and not just the nation of Israel.

Now, although Satan and his demons are very powerful spirit beings they are not permitted to use their power directly against human beings or against the Earth. They can influence us, put thoughts and ideas into our minds and on occasion can actually enter into or possess us or animals. They can cause natural disasters, but not wholesale destruction. They live here among us and they have places they call home and they influence the culture and habits of those humans who live in the same place. The arch-angel Gabriel, speaking to Daniel, said:

But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief rulers, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:13

Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer(Satan) are the three covering cherubs, the most powerful angels who are leaders among angels. If the king of Persia could hold back Gabriel and it took Michael to help him, it's a good possibility the king of Persia was Satan himself and so Satan may call that part of the world his home. Persia was where Iraq is today, where King Nebuchadnezzar II ruled Babylon and Saddam Hussein was said to have believed himself a reincarnated Nebuchadnezzar, trying to recreate the Babylon of old.

Satan tried to destroy Jesus, but failed. He took a third of the angels with him in his rebellion against God.

And another sign was seen in the heavens. And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads! And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them onto the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman being about to bear, so that when she bears he might devour her child. And she bore a son, a male, who is going to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Revelation 12:3-5

He started another war in heaven but was cast out and is now restricted to the earth ...

And there was war in Heaven. Michael and his angels warring against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels warred, but did not prevail. Nor was place found for them in Heaven any more. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent called Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

...where it is his great pleasure to persecute the Jews.

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and in the sea! For the Devil came down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a little time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who bore the man child. Revelation 12:12,13

And that is real reason Jews have been persecuted so much.

Fight For Life

Will the West survive?

The Muslim world is at war with Western civilization. We have the military might to thwart them. The question is: Do we have the intelligence to recognize the attack and the will to defend ourselves from annihilation?

There is no question that we could defeat them if we had the resolve we did during World War II, the problem is, half the country seems to be unable to recognize the seriousness of the threat against us and the ease with which they could cripple us without military might. Very few countries in this world would mind very much if the economy of the United States suddenly crashed, the European Union is readying itself to take over top spot in the world and the Euro could very well become the currency of choice worldwide in place of the dollar, the consequences of which is completely lost on the average American.

History never repeats itself exactly, but we might benefit from the knowledge of factors leading to the decline of past great civilizations. Rome was one of those advanced civilizations. Rome was so caught up in "bread and circuses" and moral decline that it couldn't manage to defend itself from invading barbaric hordes who ultimately plunged Europe into the Dark Ages. The sooner we recognize the West is in a war for survival, the more likely we'll be able to escape the fate that befell the Roman Empire.

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

The engines of government's growth

Asks DeMint (Rep. Jim DeMint, campaigning for the Senate from South Carolina), "How can a nation survive when a majority of its citizens, now dependent on government services, no longer have the incentive to restrain the growth of government?" DeMint speaks of an "eleventh-hour crisis in our democracy."

His words echo those of Scottish Professor Alexander Tyler, writing more than 200 years ago, on the fall of the Athenian republic.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government," wrote Tyler. "It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship."

Just another sign of an approaching end.

Be Prepared

U.S. Needs to Prepare for Saudi, Middle East Collapse

The mistake we are making, though, is to be unprepared in the case of a Royal Family collapse and a Saudi reversal, away from us, including a cutoff of oil sales to the West.

We are clearly not ready for the devastating impact this could have on us and on the industrialized, oil-dependent West.

Just today al Qaida has attacked more oil pipelines in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and killed an Iraqi oil executive in northern Iraq. It is a day-by-day, drip-drip-drip destabilization of the region.

Clearly the instability has just begun.

We are almost completely unprepared for that. It is clear the American people are really not taking what is happening in the world today very seriously. Now a South Korean man is beheaded and the only thing our politicians can do is say they "condemn" such acts of terror. Everyone Condemns the act - even Saudi officials - but no one does anything about it. I have never more clearly seen the possibility of the collapse of the United States. By the time the country really feels the seriousness of what is happening it will most likely be too late.

It is the height of political and moral malpractice to not be ready for all possibilities.

Criminalizing Hate

Ex-'gays' accuse senators of discrimination

This is a new one for me. We have a hate crime bill to protect gays from supposed homophobic heterosexuals (would gay on gay crime be considered a hate crime under the bill?), now we need a new hate crime bill to protect ex-gays from ... I don't know ... homosexuals? Would heterosexuals still hate a guy who used to be homosexual but is now heterosexual? Wouldn't that be the same as heterosexual on heterosexual crime? Wouldn't it be more likely that a homosexual would hate the ex-homosexual more than a heterosexual would hate an ex-homosexual? Do homosexuals hate ex-heterosexuals? Do ex-heterosexuals hate heterosexuals? Do heterosexuals, ex-heterosexuals, homosexuals and ex-homosexuals all hate metrosexuals? Where do bisexuals fit in? What about ex-bisexuals? Ex-metrosexuals? Anyone?

The past few nights we've had some awesome lightning shows here, Saturday night in particular. They say Forida is the lightning capital of America but the very worst lightning (and storms) I've ever seen were in Abilene, Texas. The intensity was so much greater than any in Florida. Here's a website from the National Weather Service on Lightning Safety. It has some awesome photos as well. Check out the historical lightning photos.
They Don't Care

This fits in with the theme of the day, Barbara Simpson writes: They said heads would roll ... now what?

The hostages are "infidels" and have no value. To terrorists, they're of greater value dead, for the killing brings them closer to the Muhammad's teachings. They believe they're doing the will of Allah.

That's why Paul Johnson suffered an excruciating death.

They don't care.

Are some people just born evil? Irretrievably evil? Most of us cannot even imagine some of the things we've been seeing going on in the world. Has it been three times now (or is it more) that we've seen terrorists cut the head off a human being with a knife? What about what Saddam* did during his years as head terrorist of Iraq? Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot? For most of us our minds cannot even process that evil. We see it but it can't be and we just have to do something else to take our minds off it. In electronics it's called clipping, our minds hit a wall, we just can't go there, although perhaps with practice we can get closer than we should. Is there something different about their minds that causes them to enjoy what most us find to be horrific? It's a popular notion of late that anyone can be reasoned with, anyone can be reached, especially among the left who say we should be negotiating with the terrorists - but is that true?

There are some clues here: The Depressive and the Psychopath: At last we know why the Columbine killers did it.

Harris and Klebold would have been dismayed that Columbine was dubbed the "worst school shooting in American history." They set their sights on eclipsing the world's greatest mass murderers, but the media never saw past the choice of venue. The school setting drove analysis in precisely the wrong direction.

Harris is the challenge. He was sweet-faced and well-spoken. Adults, and even some other kids, described him as "nice." But Harris was cold, calculating, and homicidal. "Klebold was hurting inside while Harris wanted to hurt people," Fuselier says. Harris was not merely a troubled kid, the psychiatrists say, he was a psychopath.

"Psychopaths are not disoriented or out of touch with reality, nor do they experience the delusions, hallucinations, or intense subjective distress that characterize most other mental disorders," writes Dr. Robert Hare, in Without Conscience, the seminal book on the condition. (Hare is also one of the psychologists consulted by the FBI about Columbine and by Slate for this story*.) "Unlike psychotic individuals, psychopaths are rational and aware of what they are doing and why. Their behavior is the result of choice, freely exercised."

Sounds familiar, terrorists are rational and aware of what they are doing and why. They choose evil. They choose to hurt people. Whatever torchered reasoning they use to excuse their behavior is beside the point - Al Queda is a psychopath club not an army - and they should be treated as such.

The psychiatrists can't help speculating what might have happened if Columbine had never happened. Klebold, they agree, would never have pulled off Columbine without Harris. He might have gotten caught for some petty crime, gotten help in the process, and conceivably could have gone on to live a normal life.

Their view of Harris is more reassuring, in a certain way. Harris was not a wayward boy who could have been rescued. Harris, they believe, was irretrievable. He was a brilliant killer without a conscience, searching for the most diabolical scheme imaginable. If he had lived to adulthood and developed his murderous skills for many more years, there is no telling what he could have done. His death at Columbine may have stopped him from doing something even worse.

Harris was irretrievable.

Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? No, in heart you work wickedness; You weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; They are like the deaf cobra that stops its ear, Which will not heed the voice of charmers, Charming ever so skillfully. Psalm 58:1-5

Psychopaths, like the deaf cobra, are immune to the skillful charmers (psychologists). You can talk to them, reason with them, plead with them - it makes no difference to them. They don't care. They can't. Their heart is darkness. It says "they go astray as soon as they are born" and there are people out there like that. Don't let anyone fool you, there is evil in this world, evil you cannot even imagine.

Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:43-44

And although it seems all to often evil triumphs in this world we live in and is on the increase, there is good news on the horizon.

"For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the Lord of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 4:1-3

The day is coming when there will be no more evil and the wicked of this world will be burned up - ashes - just mixed with the elements of the earth - gone. It can't come soon enough.

*Good news for Saddam, btw, he might get the death penalty if he is found guilty - hope he doesn't get Johnny Cochran - he says wondering why there is a "might" and an "if" in that sentance.

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom

I asked James if he wanted me to take the training wheels off his bike the other day and he said yes. I held the bike for him and he started going and rode to the end of the driveway (it's a long driveway). I was with him but I had let go. He went up and down the driveway like that a few more times and that was all he wanted to do. He didn't fall and he rode great as long as he went straight. He even stopped OK. I guess he was ready to get rid of those training wheels.

Long Wait

Hosea 5:15

Afflictions to come.

EuroArmy - For Peace or War? This is a great article with some awesome links to hard to find information - not reported in the mainstream press. Here are a few choice quotes:

“This Treaty is about creating a European Super-State and a European army to impose its will by force of arms. This new Rapid Reaction Force is not a peacekeeping force, as the government would have us believe.

"Some spokespersons would have us believe that this army is a cross between the boy scouts and St Vincent De Paul. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is an army designed for war. Why else are they arming themselves with F 16 fighter-bombers, nuclear submarines, warships and combat planes?”

"Other voices have European accents and their emphasis is not on the many interests we share, but on narrow differences. They distort American intentions; revel in American setbacks; forget American sacrifice; and tell neighbours they must choose between Europe and the United States. What a false choice that is. What a fatal choice it would be.”

“Also the European Union (EU) has become an imperialist bloc that is able to compete with the United States in the economic and financial fields. The Euro is challenging the position of the US dollar as the only international reserve currency. A transfer to the Euro of a significant part of the current world reserves held in dollars would provoke an economic earthquake. The same holds true if a major part of the oil trade, now in US currency, would shift to the Euro.”

“There could be a major, underlying reason for Bush’s adamant insistence that Iraq will undergo a regime change. That reason is found in the move Iraq made prior to the war to sell its dollars and buy euros, and demand that henceforth all oil payments be made in euros. If Nigeria, Mexico, Venezuela and all of OPEC were to also insist upon payment in euros, it would flood the global economies with dollars, dropping the currencies’ value to around 40 to 50 per cent. That would mean the collapse of the US economy!”

“If the ‘Europe of the monopolies' speaks about diplomacy, dialogue and multilateralism, it is mainly because it has not yet the means to impose its views against US military power. The European past in Africa, Latin America, Algeria or Asia shows the ferocity of European imperialism when and where it was dominant. The European army will only accelerate the rivalry and the danger for a major world war. The more this army will be able to develop its capacity for foreign interventions, the more it will reinforce the political capacity of the EU, the more it will make possible an independent European policy in favour of the European multinationals, the more it will offer the possibility to the EU to defend its zones of influence against eventual competitors, e.g. the US. This can lead to important conflicts, as has been seen in the two previous world wars.”

Americans are going to allow themselves to be blindsided by Europe. Just wait.
They Fear Us?

I've heard alot of talk lately from Democrats about how we (the U.S.) are so feared by the rest of the world and it's all a bunch of B.S., but of course, that's all you get from Democrats these days. They're afraid all right, afraid they won't be able to dominate, pillage, rape, steal, or otherwise take over the world as long as we (the U.S.) exist. They are afraid of the United States the way a drug dealer is afraid of the cops. They hate us, they don't want to be caught red handed, but they know we have to follow the rules and laws and they can get away with alot. And yes, they want us out of business.

Rich Tucker wrote about this fear: Who’s Afraid of the U.S.A.

Think of it this way: Once, Greece and Rome possessed great military power. Both invaded their neighbors. When the Ottoman Empire had great military power in the 1500s, it invaded its neighbors. When France had great military power in the 1800s, it invaded its neighbors. The Soviet Union held half of Europe for generations -- because it could.

But we have great power, and we’re benevolent. If we decided to, we could conquer the entire planet. Even if all the militaries of all the world combined, we’d still defeat them. Easily.

We’d shoot down every enemy plane, sink every enemy ship, and kill as many enemy soldiers as necessary before they all surrendered. And it’s not just atomic weapons. We could win, and would win, with only conventional weapons.

This sort of restraint is new. It’s never existed before, and, based on history, it should inspire fear around the world. But it doesn’t. Canada’s the proof.

There is no fear of the United States out there.
Doom of the Rock

Sharon: We will never give up Jerusalem

"Jerusalem will remain the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people," said Sharon at a dinner and dedication ceremony for Jerusalem's new Menachem Begin Heritage Center, just one week after Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, a close political ally of Sharon, said he is willing to cede Israeli control over at least six Arab neighborhoods that lie on the periphery of Jerusalem.

Of course, Palestinians and Muslims the world over believe Israel has no right to be there whatsoever and are very willing to kill and be killed over it. It's a holy land to Christians as well but they are not fighting over it yet. Perhaps that will come. Who knows, the Pope may decide his presence is needed to keep the peace.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Zechariah 12:3

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3:1-5

There have always been people with one or more of these traits, now it is difficult to find someone who does not have most of them. It's become mainstream.

Red Cross Ultimatum

Saddam Hussein must either be released from custody by June 30 or charged if the US and the new Iraqi government are to conform to international law, the International Committee of the Red Cross said last night.

I say release him, we can't prove he did anything wrong and you gotta give him a second third fourth chance. In fact, why not make him head of the European Union. They need someone who can unite and inspire them to world domination greatness.
They've Already Gone Too Far...

Why stop now? Los Angeles name too godly for U.S.?

The issue is being raised in the wake of the decision this week by Los Angeles County to remove a small cross from its official seal, as reported by WorldNetDaily.

Ironically, the most prominent image in the L.A. County seal is one of Pomona, the pagan Roman goddess of fruits and nuts, though the American Civil Liberties Union did not object to the goddess in its push to have the cross removed.
The goddess of fruits and nuts is OK - this is priceless!

"The logic of the ACLU's reasoning would suggest that Santa Monica should be renamed Monica, San Diego should be renamed Diego and on down the line," he said. "Los Angeles is a similar reference to angels. The full title of Los Angeles is a distinctly religious name."

Yeah, I know, they're not actually trying to change the name yet, but someone thought of it and you know where this is going. If you actually take the time to read the U.S. Constitution you will not find anything about "the seperation of church and state." The first ammendment is the closest you will find:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The government cannot make a law prohibiting the free exercise of religion by it's citizens. Oops. Been there, done that.

You have to have a law degree to not be able to understand the 1st ammendment. Once you become a judge you are forced to rule contrary to the U.S. Constitution - it's similar to opposite day on Spongebob Squarepants, except it's not funny - and it's destroying our country.

It's bad enough your children's teachers can force you to put your children on ritalin at their convenience, now it seems if you don't agree and you don't put them on ritalin they will put you in jail for child abuse. Talk about putting good for evil and evil for good.

I think ADD is a symptom of the increasing lawlessness of this nation, from the family on up. No respect for law or rules - formal or informal - it's all whatever you can get away with. Laws are the skeletal structure upon which a successful society is built just as laws are the structure the universe is built upon. The laws that govern the universe are measurable and observable while the intrinsic laws that govern society and interpersonal relations are not and the effects of breaking those laws don't always appear immediately and can cause effects a generation or two or more into the future. The reasons for the problems we have as a society are not obvious or proveable from a scientific standpoint so that without those laws being revealed to us by the Creator, God, or by denying those laws our society is like a rudderless ship tossed about and, ultimitely, sinking. Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). The greek is Anomia and it means:

1. the condition of without law
a. because ignorant of it
b. because of violating it
2. contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

That statement, "Sin is lawlessness" has deeper meaning than at first appears. It starts with the ten commandments and spreads and permeates into every aspect of your being. Jesus magnified the ten commandments beyond the literal keeping of them so that even being angry without cause at another breaks the "Do no murder" commandment, for example (Matthew 5:21-24), and teaches us to keep the laws of man except where they contradict the laws of God. If you're keeping God's laws and not obeying the laws and rules of society, if you're not respecting the rules at work or school or of your family then perhaps you should consider whether lawlessness is creeping into your life.

I remember coloring in grade school and being taught to color "outside the lines". I always tried my best to stay in the lines when coloring (after finally being able to do so!), but now I was being taught to cross the lines, in fact, as I remember it, it was silly to stay in the lines. I've seen that reinforced in commercials and elsewhere since and, of course, the lesson was not to be contsrained by laws, rules, regulations or expectations - do your own thing they said, whatever you want. I never took to that teaching, although I remembered it and now realize the advantage is knowing when to stay in the lines and when it's OK to cross them. Generations of children have crossed those lines and never looked back. They teach your children, they tax you till you bleed, they write laws to control you while allowing themselves freedom to do as they please, they bully themselves to the top of the hill so they can kick you off, it's their way or the highway and if they don't get their way, they'll sue and take everything you have or just throw you in jail. They pervert and spit on the laws of God, the constitution of this country and any other law they don't like and their numbers are increasing.

Reagan Speech

I heard this speech on the Drudge Report radio show and was very impressed. Here is a part of that speech:

Religion played not only a strong role in our national life; it played a positive role. The abolitionist movement was at heart a moral and religious movement; so was the modern civil rights struggle. And throughout this time, the state was tolerant of religious belief, expression, and practice. Society, too, was tolerant.

But in the 1960's this began to change. We began to make great steps toward secularizing our nation and removing religion from its honored place.

In 1962 the Supreme Court in the New York prayer case banned the compulsory saying of prayers. In 1963 the Court banned the reading of the Bible in our public schools. From that point on, the courts pushed the meaning of the ruling ever outward, so that now our children are not allowed voluntary prayer. We even had to pass a law -- we passed a special law in the Congress just a few weeks ago to allow student prayer groups the same access to schoolrooms after classes that a young Marxist society, for example, would already enjoy with no opposition.

The 1962 decision opened the way to a flood of similar suits. Once religion had been made vulnerable, a series of assaults were made in one court after another, on one issue after another. Cases were started to argue against tax-exempt status for churches. Suits were brought to abolish the words ``under God'' from the Pledge of Allegiance and to remove ``In God We Trust'' from public documents and from our currency.

Today there are those who are fighting to make sure voluntary prayer is not returned to the classrooms. And the frustrating thing for the great majority of Americans who support and understand the special importance of religion in the national life -- the frustrating thing is that those who are attacking religion claim they are doing it in the name of tolerance, freedom, and openmindedness. Question: Isn't the real truth that they are intolerant of religion? [Applause] They refuse to tolerate its importance in our lives.

If all the children of our country studied together all of the many religions in our country, wouldn't they learn greater tolerance of each other's beliefs? If children prayed together, would they not understand what they have in common, and would this not, indeed, bring them closer, and is this not to be desired? So, I submit to you that those who claim to be fighting for tolerance on this issue may not be tolerant at all.

So true. In their arrogance, vanity and ignorance they have continued to attack anything to do with God.

We establish no religion in this country, nor will we ever. We command no worship. We mandate no belief. But we poison our society when we remove its theological underpinnings. We court corruption when we leave it bereft of belief. All are free to believe or not believe; all are free to practice a faith or not. But those who believe must be free to speak of and act on their belief, to apply moral teaching to public questions.

I submit to you that the tolerant society is open to and encouraging of all religions. And this does not weaken us; it strengthens us, it makes us strong. You know, if we look back through history to all those great civilizations, those great nations that rose up to even world dominance and then deteriorated, declined, and fell, we find they all had one thing in common. One of the significant forerunners of their fall was their turning away from their God or gods.

Without God, there is no virtue, because there's no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we're mired in the material, that flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without God, there is a coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.

If only our leaders were as brave today. Mankind is incapable of governing itself. We have had the greatest country this world has ever known, more freedom, more wealth and more knowledge for more people than has ever been before. Yet, we have people who grew up in it trying to destroy it, tear it apart from within. And they have succeeded in fooling roughly half the country into believing that they are doing the country good! Not to mention those trying to destroy it from without. The pressure is building and I don't know how long this country can hold itself together, but I believe the end will come suddenly and without warning to those who are not paying attention. The writing is on the wall - Islamic countries who have vowed to their god to destroy Israel and America are on the verge of atomic weapons and they have no self preservation instincts, they will kill themselves right along with us - it is their duty. It will set off Europe too , who will occupy much of the Middle East, including Jerusalem - not Europe in it's present form, but a sudden change will take place - watch it happen.

God will step in to save us from ourselves at the last moment, just when we are about to obliterate all life from the planet. Jesus Christ will return as a conquering King and He will set up the government of God, the Kingdom of God on the earth and will reign for 1000 years as final proof that His way is the only way. There will finally be peace.

Farewell to a Great American

Much to the chagrin of leftists progressives communists democrats his enemies, Ronald Reagan is not rotting in hell. Neither is he in heaven. He did take something with him, however, the only thing you can take with you when you die - his character. It will serve him well.

Thought Creation

This morning I read a couple of essays I want to share with you.

The first deals with Capital Punishment and is the best I've seen written on the subject.

The second deals with sight and the design of the eye, it's called The Design.

They are well worth the time it takes to read them.

A Good Day

We're back from Disney and we had a great time. James wanted to go to Animal Kingdom so that's where we went. We didn't go from ride to ride though, we just walked around and enjoyed the beauty of the park. I think we went on 2 rides. Animal Kingdom is definitely the most beautiful Disney park. We went on the safari and one of the kid rides over at Dino land. He spent alot of time in the Dino playground (whatever it's called) and just generally looking at the animals. We saw the bird show too since James loves birds. We got to see owls, hawks and eagles up close and that was awesome. James asked the guy if he could touch the owl, of course he wasn't allowed but we got very, very close, less than arms length.

We left Animal Kingdom around 3:00pm and took a bus to Magic Kingdom just in time for a storm to start brewing. James wanted to go on the train around the park but it shut down when we were about to get in (lightning). We walked over to the Buzz Lightyear ride and the line just reached the covered area when it started raining. He likes that ride. When we got off it was still raining so we went on the Futureland Transportation zippy car thingies, whatever it's called. It goes into Space Mountain and Space Mountain was shut down and all the lights were on inside so that was pretty cool to see that. The whole thing looks like bare metal with zinc paint on the joints, not what I expected. I don't know what I expected, paint I guess.

Irma was getting off work and wanted to meet us to eat so we left after that. We went to Ace Plus Chinese restaurant. Nothing fancy but all you can eat, large selections and $9.95 for the dinner. And it tastes good and they don't fail any inspections. Not a great sushi selection but they make a delicious curry chicken. James dropped some ice cream on the table and his new thing is to say "red alert, red alert!" when he does that so we can wipe up the mess. He had fun even though he said this morning he didn't want to go. I had fun because I wasn't rushing around trying to go on all the rides and waiting 45 minutes to over an hour to get on them in the unbearably hot sun.
Did You Ever ... ?

James doesn't want to go to Disney World. He just wants to watch a movie or go to his grandmother's house. He wants me to go by myself. I can't really blame him but we already have the ticket so he is going.
Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Mom!

What happened on this day in history?
One More Day

I'm going to take James back to Disney today because we have one more day left on our pass and it's the last day it's valid. Joshua went to his grandmother's house and Irma has to work so it will be just James and I. I'm not sure what park or parks we'll go to. We're gonna travel light and just do whatever James feels like doing. We're not gonna rush around. I bet he would prefer to go to one of the hotels and swim in the pool.

I still haven't caught up since going last weekend. Between that and both kids home from school my schedule is messed up and I haven't spent alot of time online, even at work. There are some things I want to read, listen to, write, study - you name it - I don't have time or I'm so tired I can't concentrate.

But that will have to wait.

Tale of the Incredibly Stupid Person

I read about this before but not in this detail. A pizza delivery man was doing his job when Jerome Brown-Dancler pulled a gun on him. The pizza man had a concealed carry permit, pulled his gun and shot the idiot. After he was shot - surprised (you pull a gun on someone and they shoot back and you're surprised?) - he said he only wanted a pizza. Wow, what a complete idiot. Oh, his buddies ran away. Their mommy and daddy should have taught them not to play with guns.

Robberies should end this way more often.

A Hint

If you use half the battery power on your laptop and don't have time to recharge it - Don't forget to bring the power cord to work with you.
