Metaphor Day!

First, a football metaphor.

The electorate takes the snap, flips the ball to Obama, and watches in horror as he fumbles the stimulus and races in the wrong direction with ObamaCare. Then, near his own goal line, with the GOP closing in, he gets the brilliant idea to weigh in on the Ground Zero mosque...

Next, the Obama coin. No explanation needed.

A Pit of Hatred?

Here is the Glenn Beck Show for Monday, 8/30. Watch it if you didn't see it yet, especially part one.

Liberty vs. Progressive Distopia

A Nation Divided

To see the nation divided, watch the people who gather today at the Lincoln Memorial to hear Glenn Beck and the people who gather at Dunbar High School to hear the Rev. Al Sharpton.. Beck and his group want to restore the principles of the founders; Sharpton and his group want to transform America into a progressive utopia.

Glenn Beck Interview with Chris Wallace

It's a shame the day has been made, by many in the press and by people of both liberal and conservative thought, about Glenn Beck, instead of about the American people and restoring American values. The message is lost in the cacophony of voices and opinions. It should be simple - return to God and seek His guidance and help to restore our families and our nation. But, of course, in our enlightened society, we can't even agree on what that means. God has been purged from the founding of this nation by our history books and schools. The American people are not on the same page or even the same book. And divided we fall.

It shouldn't matter what you think about Glenn Beck. Forget Glenn Beck, he's just a guy, just like the rest of us - there is no perfection there. Is the message sound? Even if he doesn't always articulate it perfectly, does it ring true? If you don't see it, fine. I understand. But if you agree with the message then stand with the people who are trying to restore what was lost. Stand in the gap with the rest of us who see the vision that this nation's founders saw. Seek the sometimes painful truth about yourself and about your country and always walk towards the light.

Most of us didn't see this vision yesterday so I remain hopeful that more Americans will join in.

Restoring Honor Rally

Restoring Honor

If God reigns in every man then that is all the government you need.

Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. --1 Samuel 8:5

For they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. --1 Samuel 8:7

Further to fly. The change must come in the hearts of the American people.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5

What is the history of the people according to the Bible? Their failure antedated that of priest or king. Babel is the first chapter of the federation of the people in order that they may manage themselves, and make themselves a great name in the world. From the first chapter the movement runs on through all your Biblical literature until, thank God, the day is coming, which is not yet come, when the supreme anthem of earth's emancipation will take the form: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen! The kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ."

I look, then, at this Man, with the little group gathered about Him on the slopes of Olivet. Priesthood has rejected Him, government has flung Him out, the people have given their vote, consenting to the self-same rejection.

--G. Campbell Morgan, excerpt from Led Out-Led In.

I've just been thinking about this lately, seeing that people just don't get it. They don't get liberty, it's beyond their understanding. They don't get how far America has come from its roots, how magnificent was the seed that was the U.S. Constitution, how completely trampled upon it has become. They don't recognize the shackles of slavery that they wear, that they ask for, that they vote for. When they feel the weight of them they don't see the source, they lash out at those who would help them and seek comfort among the tyrants who enslave them. They escape one to run into the arms of another. The blind leading the blind.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, --Romans 1:22

Yet, they don't see it.

Babylon is still with us, still striving for the same goal - the perfect government, the perfect society, the federation of the people, by man and for man. The imposter, the failure, the tyrannical, murdering counterfeit system of man who would be god.

How do you wake up a nation? Glenn Beck is trying. Will he succeed? The odds are against it.

I've only just begun understanding this, I have been among the blind all my life. I don't claim any special intelligence or ability, more like the opposite. Understanding is a journey, keep walking toward the light.

"Remember when the media said that publishing the Danish cartoons would offend Muslims sensibilities and sensitivities, and we don't want to offend the Muslims? Well, when's the last time they were worried about offending you?"

--Rush Limbaugh

Garbage In, Garbage Out

The Government Can Use GPS to Track Your Moves

Government agents can sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go. This doesn't violate your Fourth Amendment rights, because you do not have any reasonable expectation of privacy in your own driveway — and no reasonable expectation that the government isn't tracking your movements.

That is the bizarre — and scary — rule that now applies in California and eight other Western states. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which covers this vast jurisdiction, recently decided the government can monitor you in this way virtually anytime it wants — with no need for a search warrant.

But asking to see ID or proof of residency when stopped by police - as they want to do in Arizona - is somehow not constitutional?

And Tea Partiers are terrorists and it's OK for Islamists to build a victory mosque at Ground Zero.

We cannot offend one single Muslim but Islam can offend 60% of Americans and that's OK, too.

Our leaders are insane, and what does that say for the people who elect them? If we keep on this trajectory, pretty soon we won't have to elect them at all, they will just appoint themselves.

3 Million Mile Volvo

Three-Million-Mile Quest

Nice Volvo, I just saw one of those the other day. As a Volvo owner I have to tell you that if you think your new Volvo will last 3 million miles and 44 years like this one you may be sadly mistaken. All the plastic in and on them will disintegrate long before you are anywhere near the record. It's not a problem unique to Volvo though. Plastic doesn't last.

I thought it was pretty much known that eggs can have salmonella? I mean, I hear warnings about it all the time, don't eat raw eggs, don't eat raw cookie dough. Suddenly we're surprised we found salmonella in eggs? We have to throw away 600 million eggs now? Can't we just, I don't know, cook them?

What's next? They'll find salmonella in chicken?

Why Were They Keeping It Secret For So Long?

Scientists reveal why introverts prefer being alone

The introvert's brain treats interactions with people the same way it treats encounters with other, non-human information, such as inanimate objects for example,"

That sounds so cold, but I understand this intimately. That's my brain. There is more to it than that, though. If an introvert were just indifferent to people than it shouldn't matter if other people are around. But it does matter. It is stressful for the introvert to have people around- more or less depending on the person - but it is. It can get absolutely overwhelming in a group of people. Therefore, the introvert prefers to be alone because it is the only time they can really relax. It feels good to be alone.

Husband Shoots Wife During Self Defense Drill

the incident happened when Arnold Morris and his wife Patricia Morris were role playing and re-enacting a home invasion.

She was the robber and he was the victim.

When Arnold Morris pulled a gun on his wife it accidentally went off.

Sorry, modern handguns do not accidentally go off. You have to pull the trigger. Don't know how old the gun was, though. It shouldn't have mattered anyway because you don't point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy. And if you are going to manipulate your gun in practice, make damn sure it is not loaded and lock the bullets away in another room; the exception being when you are at a range where that kind of practice is allowed and intended.

They make a device that fits into the empty chamber and barrel so it is obvious to all that the gun is not loaded and incapable of being loaded with the device in place. They also make plastic replicas of guns, called blue guns, for this kind of practice.

This Just In

The FDA wants more power

Why don't they just get scientists beholden to the government to say that eggs cause global warming? It worked great with carbon dioxide and the EPA was able to use it to grab more power.

When does a government agency NOT want more power? That is always the excuse for their incompetence, it can't possibly be that the power structure they use doesn't work no matter how much power they have.

Tyranny is Color Blind

"Run away from the slavery of tyranny toward the blessings of liberty!"

Fuelin' Around

The Renewable Electricity Standard Is a Hoax, a Fraud, and a Rip-Off

The fraud relates to the idea that energy produced without CO2 emissions is "clean." This word "clean" is being misused, and that's a huge part of the problem. Of course, removing the genuine pollutants like sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides and mercury from smokestacks is a real cleanup. It is already mandated by the Clean Air Act and being pursued adequately. But CO2 is not a pollutant—in spite of the claims of the EPA in its "Endangerment Finding," which has yet to be tested in court. CO2 is not toxic nor irritating nor visible—nor a climate-forcer of any significance, so the idea that we have to stop emitting CO2, or capture and sequester it, is a pure fraud.

Obama's Support for Ground Zero Mosque Draws Fire

The "Science" of Social Engineering

Why Billions of Bed Bugs are Biting

There is no real logic behind the EPA's continued efforts to ban pesticides, but there is an illogical, unreasoned, and a lot of very dubious "science" behind the relentless effort to deprive Americans of the protection pesticides provide.

Real History is Fascinating..

The other justification for nuking Japan

Let me state the moral justification for dropping the bombs without invoking the life of one single American troop, one Japanese troop or one Japanese civilian.

In 1971, South African author Laurens Van Der Post put it between covers of a thin book entitled "The Prisoner and the Bomb." Van Der Post spent the war as a prisoner of the Japanese in a concentration camp in what had been the Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia. He spoke fluent Japanese. For reasons of space and taste, I'll omit his descriptions of Japanese cruelty to their prisoners. Their brutality was unspeakable, even when they were winning the war. As the war turned against them, the Japanese somehow found ways to increase their mistreatment.

One day in August of 1945, a Japanese military limousine pulled up to the gate and demanded Van Der Post get in. He had no idea what was in store. He didn't think they were going to execute him because, for that, they didn't waste time with limousines. Up the mountain they drove, to the mansion that had been the home of the Dutch colonial governor and now the Japanese commandant. Imagine this battered, emaciated prisoner, dressed in tatters with sandals crudely fashioned from old truck tires, being led into a huge ballroom where the entire Japanese officer corps, all in impeccable summer dress uniforms complete with ceremonial swords, bowed down to him and, raising little cups of rice wine, said, "Congratulations on your victory!"

The automatic explanation for Japan's quick surrender is, of course, that they saw America had a totally new kind of weapon that could take out a whole city with one plane and one bomb, and they were clearly beaten, so they gave up. Wrong! Suicidal warfare did not begin with Islamic extremism. Remember the Kamikaze pilots, trained to fly their planes right into American ships? The Japanese people were perfectly willing to die, down to the last one, for the emperor. Being overpowered by a new weapon was not why Japan surrendered immediately after the two bombs.

Van Der Post tells us that the revolutionary nature of the A-bomb was interpreted by the Japanese as the "Flash from Heaven" that released them from their obligation to die for the emperor and enabled them to surrender.

Here now, is the moral justification for the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As Hitler's Germany was in its last days, the Nazi empire that once stretched from above the Arctic Circle to Egypt and from the English Channel to the gates of Moscow had shrunk to six city blocks in downtown Berlin. By contrast; at the end, the Japanese held over 95 percent of everything they'd conquered; a huge hunk of China, all of Manchuria and Korea, Indonesia, Malaya, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong; they'd only lost a few islands to American invasion. Across that vast empire there were hundreds of Japanese prison camps with millions of prisoners enduring treatment that rivaled the Holocaust.

Van Der Post estimated that, if the war had lasted only another six weeks, more lives would have been lost in those prison camps through starvation, disease and cruelty than were lost to the atomic bombing. Despite Japan's dire situation, if their "suicide" mindset had remained intact, it would have taken much longer than six weeks to end it.

Emperor Hirohito, you'll recall, was not regarded as a "human." He didn't do fireside chats or hold town-hall meetings. He was literally revered as a god. The Japanese people had never heard him speak! But Emperor Hirohito made a recorded statement to the Japanese people, remarkable in that he never used the word "surrender." He just said, "The war has progressed in a manner not necessarily to Japan's advantage. Be respectful of the foreigners who will shortly arrive."

I confess to being fixated on the Japanese audio engineer who, sitting with earphones on a few feet away from the emperor, recorded that message.

I'll never quit wondering what it was like having to interrupt the emperor and say, almost literally, "Excuse me, God, I seem to hear a high-frequency oscillation here. Would you take it again, from the top?"

Free from Evil, Free to Pursue Peace

Hiroshima 1945, Hiroshima 2010

August 6, 1945 was not infamous. It was necessary.

August 6, 1945 did not end the war with Japan. It took a second bomb to do that and, even then, the warmongers argued among themselves for several days whether to surrender. In the end, the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki set Japan free to pursue peace.

The evil has since left Japan and moved elsewhere in the world. It will not go quietly, the stronger we let it get, the harder it will be to stop it.

First step: Recognize it. FAIL. Yeah, we're kinda lost now.

A Bankrupt Country

Justice Brennan's footnote gave us anchor babies

Democrats act as if the right to run across the border when you're eight and a half months pregnant, give birth in a U.S. hospital and then immediately start collecting welfare was exactly what our forebears had in mind, a sacred constitutional right, as old as the 14th Amendment itself.

The louder liberals talk about some ancient constitutional right, the surer you should be that it was invented in the last few decades.

In fact, this alleged right derives only from a footnote slyly slipped into a Supreme Court opinion by Justice Brennan in 1982. You might say it sneaked in when no one was looking, and now we have to let it stay.

Feds admit storing checkpoint body scan images

For the last few years, federal agencies have defended body scanning by insisting that all images will be discarded as soon as they're viewed. The Transportation Security Administration claimed last summer, for instance, that "scanned images cannot be stored or recorded."

Now it turns out that some police agencies are storing the controversial images after all. The U.S. Marshals Service admitted this week that it had surreptitiously saved tens of thousands of images recorded with a millimeter wave system at the security checkpoint of a single Florida courthouse.

Grinding America Down

When Idaho legislator Curtis Bowers wrote a "letter to the editor" about the drastic changes in America's culture, it became the feature story on the evening news, people protested at the capitol, and for weeks the local newspapers were filled with responses. He realized then... he'd hit on something.

Ask almost anyone and you'll hear, "Communism is dead! The Berlin Wall came down." And though the word communism isn't used anymore, this film will show the ideas behind it are alive and well.

Join Bowers for a fascinating look at the people and groups that have successfully targeted America's morality and freedom in their effort to grind America down. It's not just another conspiracy theory. It's a well documented agenda.

I'm Curtis Bowers and I made this film because I hoped that once you saw the facts you would realize what I did after researching this topic... what has happened to America hasn't been an accident.

Now is the time to get involved before the "Left" accomplishes their goal of destroying the greatest country in ALL world history!

O' Foolish Nation...

Saying No! to a Ground Zero Mosque

This is why a mosque within steps of Ground Zero is so inherently wrong. It says that the intended victims of Islamic domination are simply too blind to envision their fate, too fearful to confront evil, to ready to get on the next train to Auschwitz.

The truth seems to be that too many Americans are too blind, too fearful, and too ready and that is reflected in our leadership.

Wish It Wasn't True

Arizona Sheriff: 'Our Own Government Has Become Our Enemy'

Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.

“What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.

YouTube's Annoying New Feature

A couple of days ago YouTube introduced a bar along the bottom of the page and it automatically plays all your subscriptions unless you manually shut it off every time you watch a new video. And it stays at the bottom of the page and pops up if you mouse too close to it even after you shut off autoplay. It was so annoying. Yes, was. Here is how you can get rid of it.

Update: YouTube is in process of changing the bar. Autoplay is disabled by default and the bar will not pop up unless you click on it. Good news.
