Website of the day: TyphoonDesign: For the pictures, sometimes I really miss Japan.

The world is full of idiots like Saddam Hussein, Bin-Laden and Kim Jong-il and all the miriad evil wannabees oppressing people in various Central/South American, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian countries. They happily take all the money the United States will give them and/or they can get from oil profits and stash it away in overseas accounts, build massive palaces and build up a military to rid the world of Jews (middle east) or to blackmail the U.S. into giving them more money (Korea) instead of using it on the people and then have the gall to blame the U.S. for their problems. The United States is far from perfect and it sure isn't a righteous, God-fearing nation - it has it's share of sins - but it doesn't even come close to being as bad as most of the rest of the world and the U.S. has been a huge blessing to this world in more ways than you can count. The worst part is hearing fellow Americans criticize this country as if it is the bane of the world, which they learn in our schools and so-called institutions of higher learning. ( Which are the bane of this country) Right is wrong, wrong is right. Or is it "there is no right or wrong"?

I wish they would stop harping on this cloning thing too. It's really not that big of a deal. Basically what they are doing is just a fancy form of artificial insemenation, it's very difficult but not magic. Just bypassing a natural process. The baby that results is still a 'never was before, never will be again' individual. It can never be exactly like the donor in every sense and will grow up with different experiences and be an individual just like everyone else. It is nothing like the movie Multiplicity and never will be. As far as using the fetus (a baby) as a donor for organs or to transplant a brain into, would you do that to any other child? Would you allow the use of an unborn baby (a fetus) for brain stem research? I know some people would and those who deny God exists and therefore do not accept His laws can find it easy to justify.
Actually, humans can and do justify horrible acts. Pol Pot, Stalin and Hitler thought nothing of killing millions of people in the name of their 'better way', their vision of utopia. You and I can't even imagine that. What about Idi Amin or Saddam Hussein. Millions of babies are killed every year right here in the US of A. Horribly. There was a time when that was unacceptable. They say abortion should be legal in case of rape or danger to the mother. But are millions of women raped every year?
Cloning in and of itself is not the problem, it's what they want to do with the clones. That's the problem. What will they think of themselves when they learn the truth?

Here's a cool clock to check out.

Website of the day: Empire State Building Official Site

This will be quick, it's so busy here at work I was 3 hours behind and now I don't have time to play. That's good for a change, it's been so slow. Doesn't anyone want to come to Florida anymore?

I got a compact flash reader to transfer pictures to the Mac. It works great but I don't have time to figure out what I can do with them now. I'll have to save that for later. Also got some cheapo speakers so I can hear when I play a DVD. They work pretty good. I don't want to drag around big speakers for a laptop.

Here are some links I found interesting:

MacDevcenter.com Mac tips...obviously.

free-ed.net Free education on the net. This actually looks pretty useful. Check it out.

And now for the worlds newest church (as far as I can tell): The Church of Spongebob Squarepants You won't find anything out there better than this. Unless. No you wouldn't like this, would you? Please people! I really like the make up your own religion concept. It's been going on for years. One of these days reality is gonna smack you. Actually, it looks like something was smacking that doctor in the face. Drudge had some closeup pictures of her the other day and I do believe cloning is the only way she can reproduce. Brush your teeth 3 times a day and after meals. Sorry, if you saw them you know what I'm talking about.

Website of the day: Spices

I found an interesting site today through a link in a blog (Don't ask me which now, I forgot) to this article: Coffee, Tea, or Should We Feel Your Pregnant Wife’s Breasts Before Throwing You in a Cell at the Airport and Then Lying About Why We Put You There? I don't know if it's true or 100% accurate but it's something I could see happening. And that's scary.
I like the part about the ACLU not helping because he's not a minority.
The site that published it is LewRockwell.com There were some other interesting articles there:

The Trial of Lott

Lott: The Progressivist Legacy Continues

Persuasion and Coercion

Here's one from Frontpage magazine: Leftist Lies About the War

I guess that's enough of that. Watching mankind govern themselves is depressing. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. You can't ignore it though, have to watch the weather to know when the hurricane is coming.

I've been listening tonight to Bic Runga: Beautiful Collision. I heard of her in a blog a while back, never heard any songs on the radio though. She kind of reminds me of Jewel, a little sweeter maybe.

The news just said Iraq's army is preparing for war. Be afraid! -- It's not Iraq's army you have to watch out for. TV news is useless. Alright , it's not entirely useless, just useless for getting real news.

I gotta go, just dropped (and broke) a plate and it's almost time to go home.

Website of the day: How Christmas Works: Is December 25 really the day Jesus was born?

Actually, it is possible to determine the birthdate of Jesus Christ. Luke 1 is the chapter that deals with the begettal and birth of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. It states in Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. Notice he was of the course of Abia. Also note Luke 1:25, 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. So Jesus Christ was begotten 6 months after John the Baptist.

Quoting Bullinger's Companion Bible Appendix 179: This was the eighth of the priestly courses of ministration in the Temple (1 Chronicles 24:10), and occurred, as did the others, twice in the year.

The "Courses"were changed every week, beginning each with a Sabbath. The reckoning commenced on the 22nd day of Tisri or Ethanim (Appendix 51. 5). This was the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles = the "Great Day of the Feast" (John 7:37), and was a Sabbath (Leviticus 23:39).

Bearing in mind that all the courses served together at the three Great Feasts, the dates for the two yearly "ministrations" of Abiah will be seen to fall as follows:

The first 9 ministration was from 12-18 Chisleu = December 6-12.

The second ministration was from 12-18 Sivan = June 13-19.

The announcement therefore to Zacharias in the Temple as to the conception of John the Baptist took place between 12-18 SIVAN (June 13-19), in the year 5 B.C. After finishing his "ministration", the aged priest "departed to his own house" (Luke 1:23), which was in a city in "the hill country" of Juda (verse 39).

The day following the end of the "Course of Abia" being a Sabbath (Sivan 19), he would not be able to leave Jerusalem before the 20th.

The thirty miles journey would probably occupy, for an old man, a couple of days at least. He would therefore arrive at his house on the 21st or 22nd. This leaves ample time for the miraculous "conception" of Elizabeth to take place on or about 23rd of SIVAN - which would correspond to June 23-24 of that year. The fact of the conception and its date would necessarily be known at the time and afterwards, and hence the 23rd SIVAN would henceforth be associated with the conception of John Baptist as the 1st TEBETH would be with that of our Lord.

But the same influences that speedily obscured and presently obliterated the real dates of our Lord's "Begetting" and Birth, were also at work with regard to those of the Forerunner, and with the same results. As soon as the true Birth day of Christ had been shifted from its proper date, videlicet: the 15th of Tisri (September 29), and a Festival Day from the Pagan Calendars substituted for it (videlicet: December 25), then everything else had to be altered too.

Hence "Lady Day" in association with March 25 (new style) became necessarily connected with the Annunciation. And June 24 made its appearance, as it still is in our Calendar, as the date of "the Nativity of John the Baptist", instead of, as it really is, the date of his miraculous conception.

The Four "Quarter Days" may therefore be set forth thus: in the chronological order of the events with which they are associated, videlicet:

The conception of John Baptist on or about 23rd SIVAN = June 24 in the year 5 B.C.

The Genesis (Begetting) of our Lord on or about 1st TEBETH = December 25 in the year 5 B.C.

The birth of John Baptist on or about 4th-7th NISAN = March 25-28 in the year 4 B.C.

The birth of our Lord on or about 15th TISRI = September 29 in the year 4 B.C.

The "Annunciation" by the Angel Gabriel marked the genesis of Matthew 1:18, and the first words of John 1:14.

The announcement to the shepherds by the Archangel Michael marked the Birth of our Lord. John 1:14 is read as though "the Word became flesh (Revised Version), and dwelt among us", were one and the same thing where - as they are two clauses.

The paragraph should read thus:

"And the Word became flesh; (Greek ho logos sarx egeneto.)

And tabernacled with (or among) us." (Greek kai eskenosen en hemin).

The word tabernacled here (preserved in Revised Version marg.) receives beautiful significance from the knowledge that "the Lord of Glory"
was "found in fashion as a man" , and thus tabernacling in human flesh. And in turn it shows in equally beautiful significance that our Lord was born on the first day of the great Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, videlicet: the 15th of Tisri, corresponding to September 29, 4 B.C. (modern reckoning).
The circumcision of our Lord took place therefore on the eighth day, the last day of the Feast, the "Great Day of the Feast" of John 7:37 ("Tabernacles" had eight days. The Feast of Unleavened Bread had seven days, and Pentecost one. See Leviticus 23).

End of quote from Bullinger's Companion Bible Appendix 179

Jesus Christ was born on the 1st day of the Feast of Tabernacles, 15 Tisri - September 29 on our calender - 4 BC.

A couple of points: Christ "became flesh" at his begettal. If Mary had an abortion at any time after conception Christ would have died. Abortion is murder.

God does everything on time. Significantly, Christ was born on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles and circumcised on the Last Great Day. Almost no one knows anything about these holy days. Yet they are not Jewish, Christians should be keeping them now and the whole world will keep them after Christ returns. Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

One more thing, there is no feast or holy day marking the begettal of Jesus Christ. We are commanded to keep God's feasts, but He also says: Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

2 Kings 17:33 They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. 34 Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

That being said, what is this? That's freaky!

Website: Space.com Star of Bethlehem: Going Back in Time to Examine Its Origins

At least they know He wasn't born Dec 25. Here's the verse:

Matthew 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

And here is a verse which sheds some light on the answer:

Revelation1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

In Matthew 2:9 the star went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. So the star was actually leading them directly to the child, it wasn't just in the eastern sky. If they saw a bright star in the sky and headed toward it they would never reach it. It could never lead them directly to a person. And as the earth rolled it would move or not be visible anymore. In light of the definition of a "star" in Revelation 1:20 and the context in which "star" is used in Matthew 2:9, it becomes clear that the star is actually an angel.

Here's one for Windows: Make Windows Work Better One tip to a page, kind of a pain to get through it but looks like some great tips. Some I've seen before and some I'd like to try if I ever feel like firing up the windows computer again. Hee hee.

Here are a couple of computer articles written by John C. Dvorak. The first one is Upstarts Attack Microsoft Slackers and I've included it here because I agree with it 100%. My first choice in browser is Opera, then Mozilla. I use explorer only on those sites that will not work with the others. Usually this is because they decide for me that my browser won't work on their site. In Opera you can tell the browser to identify itself as explorer and most times that works perfectly. I try to have it identify itself as Opera most of the time because I want webmasters to know there are people out there using it.

The second article is Obituary: OS/2. It seems IBM has killed off OS/2. I used to use OS/2 back when most people were using Windows 3.11. I could not figure out why nobody wanted to use it, I loved that operating system. It was way ahead of it's time. Too bad.

I've been getting more and more comfortable with Mac OS X. I'm thinking about setting up the printer so I can connect to the Mac and I can't think of any other reason to use Windows anymore. I feel free!

The following test was written by Oliver Thomas and was published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. While on the subject, here is the Best of the Web for Dec.19,2002

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I know the Republicans lie too, but not to the monstrous proportions that have been coming out of the Democratic party.

On the same subject, Thomas Sowell writes: Lott and resignation

Anti-Americanism on the rise: Richard Halloran makes no mention of Europe. Anti-Americanism in Europe is largley ignored by the American press. That's too bad, because it's not the Middle Eastern or Asian nations who will pose the greatest threat to America.

Isaiah 10:5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. It is the German people who have descended from the Assyrians and this prophecy will happen at the end time.

Isaiah 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. 16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. 17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

John C. Hulsman/Brett D. Schaefer wrote A Western Turkey

In the Bible, modern Turkey is Edom, which came from Esau, the brother of Jacob.

Ge 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary." Therefore his name was called Edom.

There has been a wicked rivalry between Jacob and Esau since in the womb. And ever since. Modern day Palistinians descended from the Philistines.

Ezekiel 25:12 'Thus says the Lord God: "Because of what Edom did against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them," 13 therefore thus says the Lord God: "I will also stretch out My hand against Edom, cut off man and beast from it, and make it desolate from Teman; Dedan shall fall by the sword. 14 I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel, that they may do in Edom according to My anger and according to My fury; and they shall know My vengeance," says the Lord God. 15 'Thus says the Lord God: "Because the Philistines dealt vengefully and took vengeance with a spiteful heart, to destroy because of the old hatred," 16 therefore thus says the Lord God: "I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant of the seacoast. 17 I will execute great vengeance on them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I lay My vengeance upon them.

Mal 1:4 Even though Edom has said, "We have been impoverished, But we will return and build the desolate places," Thus says the Lord of hosts: "They may build, but I will throw down; They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness, And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever.5 Your eyes shall see, And you shall say, 'The Lord is magnified beyond the border of Israel.'

The following describes a yet future captivity of Judah and the rest of the descendents of Jacob (Israel). Judah is modern Israel. Israel refers mostly to the United States and Great Britain.

Obadiah 1:10 "For violence against your brother Jacob, Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off forever. 11 In the day that you stood on the other side-- In the day that strangers carried captive his forces, When foreigners entered his gates And cast lots for Jerusalem-- Even you were as one of them. 12 But you should not have gazed on the day of your brother In the day of his captivity; Nor should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah In the day of their destruction; Nor should you have spoken proudly In the day of distress. 13 You should not have entered the gate of My people In the day of their calamity. Indeed, you should not have gazed on their affliction In the day of their calamity, Nor laid hands on their substance In the day of their calamity. 14 You should not have stood at the crossroads To cut off those among them who escaped; Nor should you have delivered up those among them who remained In the day of distress. 15 "For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. 16 For as you drank on my holy mountain, So shall all the nations drink continually; Yes, they shall drink, and swallow, And they shall be as though they had never been.

They may be our "friends" now, but their true colors will show when the tribulation is upon us.

Website of the day: Know Your Money on the Secret Service website

A couple of commentaries:

This from Diane Alden: Republicans and Cival Rights

Norman Liebmann wrote Liberalism in Relapse ©

Neal Boortz wrote this Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002):

"PLAYING THE RACE CARD …THEN BLAMING IT ON REPUBLICANS

If you were watching Paula Zahn on CNN this morning you saw Congressmen Gregory Meeks (D-NY) and J.C. Watts (R-OK) discussing (what else?) the Trent Lott situation. During the course of that conversation Meeks, the Democrat, was doing his level best to portray the Republicans as generally bigoted and racist.

During his rant Meeks told Zahn that he has actually seen campaign literature with the picture of a black family and the words “If they win, we lose.” Meeks presented this as an example of the racism that is a part of the Republican Party.

OK … now here’s the rest of the story.

That campaign literature was prepared and used in Georgia. Yes, it did have a picture of a black family; and yes, it did have the words “If they win, we lose.” What Meeks didn’t say this morning on CNN was that this campaign flyer also had a picture of a white person … a Republican candidate. In the flyer the “they” referred to the white guy, the “we” was referring to the black family.

Interesting, isn’t it? The Democrats create a bit of campaign literature designed to frighten blacks into voting Democrats by telling them that if “they” (the Republicans) win, “we” (black families) lose.

This has to be the first piece of “dual use” campaign literature I’ve seen. You use the flyer during the campaign to frighten blacks into voting for Democrats; then, after the election is over, you attribute the flyer to Republicans and use it to illustrate their racism.
"

End of Neal Boortz quote.

I saw the documentary on the Bismark on the Discovery channel and it is really good. It's fascinating to see the ship after all that time out of our reach and watch the reactions of some of the crew who were on the ship when it was sunk. That ship was huge. If you are at all interested in the events of world war II you really need to see it.

For the past week James has been asking "why?" everytime you ask him to do something. It's cute mostly but when he's doing something wrong it's very annoying.
He has a large ball and he was sitting on it and rolling off. It was so cute so I went to get the video camera and he decided he would rather search for the toys he dropped behind his crib and he wouldn't do it anymore. The next day he did it again, then told me to get the camera. So, off I went happy to finally get a shot of him doing it and when I got back maybe 20 seconds later he wouldn't do it anymore again!
I took him to a park last week and he had alot of fun chasing the squirrels. He would chase them to the tree and it would hide on the other side and he says "Where'd he go?" Sometimes he would try to climb the tree - he even tried to use his nails like claws to follow them. We saw an otter sitting on the boat ramp eating a fish and he scared it away by screaming at it. He spent alot of time trying to catch the birds too.

You can't deal with these people like they have any honor or conscience. Blix is too Late

Iraq's Aziz Brands Bush a 'Hypocrite'

"He's a hypocrite because a true Christian would not be a war monger, would not push for the destruction of a country and its people," Aziz said.

#1. America does not intend to or want to destroy Iraq or it's people. America wants only to get rid of an evil man who thinks nothing of torturing and killing anyone and everyone who he perceives is a threat to him, his dictatorship, or his eventual plans of being the modern day Saladin. Sometimes just for fun. And who has the means to do it. America would be doing the people of Iraq a favor. Right or wrong.

#2. America, according to those who interpret our laws, is not a Christian nation and does not acknowledge God as having any moral, spiritual, or legal leadership of this country. America looks to the strength of its leaders, its people, and its allies. The god of your choice is on the shelf in case of emergency.

#3. Although He doesn't intend or want Christians to fight for Him (Romans 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.) Jesus the Christ of Nazerath, who was the God of the old testament, ( John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. ) will in the future, at His return - and not before - Make War with all the inhabitants of the earth who will not accept Him as world ruler.

God is not against standing up for what is right.

Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great." 19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

The fact is, if America or someone else doesn't get him, and he's still living when Christ returns, he will be bird food. But alot of people will have suffered miserably in the meantime.

Psalms 7:9 Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.

Matthew 24:45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Best of the Web for Dec. 10, 2002

I was asked recently if Al Qaeda was a person or a group. People just don't want to face reality and keep informed of what is really going on in the world. They would rather concern themselves only with music, movies, sports and anything pleasant so they don't have to think about the horrors of this world.

Mark 13:35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-- 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!"

Luke 21:34 "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Acts 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

Mac Operating System X (ten) is based on FreeBSD 4.4. Mac OS X: Look who else is switching

If you've never experienced a BSD/Linux operating system it's hard to understand the the flexibility and choices you have with them. You can literally change every aspect of the operating system. But with that you need ALOT of knowledge and the ability to make decisions. For instance, which GUI (desktop) do you want to use? Gnome, Kde, Enlightenment, NeXTStEP or, I forget what else. There are so many. And you can manipulate each one and make it look completely different. It's really quite amazing, but you really have to know what you are doing. I'm simplifying it, it's even more complicated.
Mac is using an amazing GUI and takes alot of those choices away. That's good. And it could be bad too. But mostly it's good. They make it easy enough for your mother to use, yet underneath... unix, and you can use the command line when you need to.

James is sitting here with me eating chipotle salsa and chips. In fact he just drank it. Go figure. He doesn't really eat candy or cookies so much. Usually he'll put them down after a couple of minutes.

I've been checking out ebay lately, looking at computer stuff. Just dreaming. I can't believe the amount of obviously fraudulent auctions I see in the higher end areas. People are apparently using other users ids to put up fake auctions. So many say money order/cashiers check only, no user feedback, or like I said, they use someone elses user id. Then most of them are cancelled by ebay. I hope they get most of them. I say if you're looking for expensive electronics go to a legit business on the web instead of an unknown ebay user. Even the escrow companies are being faked. Go on the boards and educate yourself before bidding. Tis the season!

Lately I'm wishing more and more I had an Apple computer instead of windows. I'm really getting tired of all the stupid little problems every time I try to use the computer. I don't have time to be messing around with the computer every time I go to use it. I like Linux and the BSD's but you end up constantly tinkering with them and I can't do it anymore. Sometimes I like messing around with a computer but mostly I just want record a cd without windows saying I have no cd writer installed, so I have to reboot. Or can't connect to the internet and somehow rebooting solves that as well. Or locking up the whole thng. This is with XP Professional It wasn't supposed to be like this. Anyway, I'm reading and learning about the Mac's, I have a hard time believing they are close to perfect either. Not that in I can actually afford one anyway, that's one thing I really don't like about the Mac. It's like going from one monopoly to another. Why couldn't the world smarten up in the early 90's and start using OS/2? That operating system was light years ahead of windows at the time. But no, windows was so great! Yeah right.
This is one example of why democracies don't work. The people don't always know better. And the United States of America is NOT a democracy no matter how many times you hear it said on the news, in schools, by government officials, or whoever. This country is a republic and there is a good reason for it. Our founding fathers were much more brilliant then they are given credit for, especially by the left. Contrary to popular belief, although we are swimming in knowledge, more than any other generation, we are not getting more intelligent every generation. No way.

I just heard about this. The government will be overseeing the new kids.us internet domain for kids. That'll work.

Last night a hotel close to mine had a bad fire in one of the buildings. I kept seeing fire truck after fire truck go by and another hotel called to ask me what was going on. She heard about it on her scanner. I drove by to see what hotel it was and it was fully involved, flames shooting out of the roof. It was the old Residence Inn. I don't know what it's called now, it's just a generic name. It was in a vacant building, no one was hurt.

When I was coming back I was stopped at a light and a fire truck was coming up on the cross traffic. They had a green light but for some reason, the cars just stopped, blocking the intersection, instead of going through and getting out of the way. I'm glad I don't drive a fire truck. You have to be a fireman 10 years to drive the fire truck. (Obscure Newhart reference)

Website of the day: Interntional Colored Gemstone Association Another aspect of God's awesome creation.

This is a great site for learning more about gemstones called Your Gemlogist

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Jonah 3:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish? 10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

This is refering to the second death.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

Revelation 2:11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death

Malachi 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

I downloaded the Opera 7 beta and so far so good. I really like it. What I like best about Opera is the ability to easily delete all private data (cookies, cache, passwords, history, etc. in any combination) before you shutdown. And opening multiple windows in the background so they load while you are looking at a different page. Plus 1 click to shut off images, print preview, there's alot to like.

Psalms 107:8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."

Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

Last week I went into the garage at night and out of the corner of my eye, thought I saw something jump off a ladder I have in there. I went over there but didn't see or hear anything. Then Irma's mother said she saw a huge rat crawling on top of the garage door rail. Actually she said she saw two. I saw other evidence of rodent activity so I bought a couple of rat traps, put peanut butter on them and put them along the walls. The next day, nothing. I waited another day and the peanut butter was gone. Meanwhile I'm hearing stories about how big it is and the traps aren't big enough. I tied some yarn to the trap and coated it with peanut butter. Next day, snake food! And no, it wasn't huge. Why do people exaggerate the size of rats and snakes?
I know a guy who worked at a hotel near mine and he called me one night and said he just killed a huge snake. He asked me what kind it was and described it as having red, yellow and black rings and it was at least 6 feet long. Well, if it had those colors it can only be a scarlet king snake, scarlet snake or a coral snake and none of them reach much more than 2 feet. I went over to see it in the morning but he said he threw it into the woods so I couldn't see it. Yeah right.
Anyway, I left the traps in the garage again but got no takers. Too bad, I can use another for snake food.

I had a couple of teeth pulled last week. Ouch! The doctor gave me a 2 needles in the roof of my mouth and that's about as much pain as I can handle, thank you. I usually don't mind the needles but not in the roof of your mouth, what is that? It was infected, maybe that's why it hurt so much. He said I should have been put to sleep for the procedure but I didn't really like that idea. It was all a bit painful, six needles total, but it's over now. I still can't believe I did that.

Apparently, this is what they'll think of next.

Do you find yourself asking "What is wrong with those people? Why don't they get it? What is wrong with their minds?" everytime you see news from the middle east?
Here's an article that explores Ancient Hatreds.

Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Mark 11:25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Jonah 3:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, 2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you."
Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day's walk. Then he cried out and said, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!"
Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.
Jonah 3:10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.
Jonah 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. 2 So he prayed to the Lord, and said, "Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.

Jonah had an argument with God because he didn't think Ninevites were worthy of forgiveness. Jonah wasn't afraid of them as most believe. He had already intervened previously for God and kept the Ninevites from attacking Israel.

2 Kings 14:25 He restored the territory of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which He had spoken through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath Hepher.

Jonah had a problem with forgiveness. Jonah was willing to die (and did) rather than see Nineveh repent. You know the story

Jonah 1:4 But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up.
Jonah 1:5 Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.

Did you ever see the "Worlds Most Dangerous Jobs" on the Discovery channel? The one about the king crab fishermen in Alaska? What does it take to scare a mariner?
These guys were praying to their gods, throwing the cargo overboard, they were gonna die. Then they found Jonah sleeping down below. Sleeping! They cast lots to see who was the cause of the trouble and the lot fell on Jonah. They asked him all kinds of questions and found out who he was, they knew of him already, he had spoken for God and told the Ninevites they could not conquer Israel and God restored Israel.(2 Kings 14:25) He told them to throw him into the sea, he was still angry with God.
They refused and tried desperately to get to shore but couldn't. Finally they asked God's forgiveness, tied him and weighed him down. It doesn't say they weighed him down but it is implied in this verse.

Jonah 2:5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head.

When they threw him in he went down immediately, otherwise he would have been at the surface and drowned long before he hit bottom. Also, it was more merciful to weigh a person down and kill them quickly.

Jonah 1:17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Jonah 2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish's belly. 2 And he said: "I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. Sheol is the grave.
Jonah 2:5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. 6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God.

He was writing this after the fact, he is remembering what happened.

Jonah 2:7 "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. 8 "Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord."

His soul fainted within him. That was it for Jonah. That's what he remembers. The last thing he remembered may have been being sucked into the mouth of the fish. He was already so near death, his lungs already filled with water. This exact type of death is described and shown in the Discovery channel show "Worlds Most Dangerous Jobs". They showed what would happen to a fisherman if he got caught on the rope and pulled into the sea with the crab trap. That's how Jonah died.

Jonah 2:10 So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Jonah didn't necessarily write this entire chapter. Some of it is in first person and some is not. When you die you "know nothing". When he was resurrected, his last thoughts before he died would be what he remembered, what happened while he was dead he didn't know. If you have an operation they put you to sleep and when you wake up you remember nothing of what happened while you were out.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten.
John 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven

Jesus said the only proof that He was the Messiah would be the example of Jonah.

Matthew 12:38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from You." 39 But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.

The only way Jonah could be a perfect type of Jesus was if he was dead. Christ died and was dead 3 days and 3 nights and Jonah died and was dead 3 days and 3 nights. The difference being Christ was resurrected and born again into a spiritual body as the Son of God and Jonah was just resurrected to his natural, fleshly body.

The fisherman had gone back to port (they had no more cargo) and told everyone what happened. They threw the prophet Jonah overboard, Jonah was dead! Word spread, everyone knew of him. So when Jonah comes walking into Nineveh and tells them what will happen to them if they don't repent, guess what, they believe him! They repent! He was dead and now here he is! But Jonah was still mad at God for forgiving them.

3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!" 4 Then the Lord said, "Is it right for you to be angry?"
Jonah 4:11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left--and much livestock?"

The whole world is ignorant of the plan of God and what exactly the Good News of the Kingdom of God is. They don't know the real God, just as Nineveh didn't know. God doesn't hold the ignorant as responsible in this lifetime as those who know the truth.

Luke 12:48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Why do people believe that if we just get rid of our weapons and were a peaceful society all the worlds evil would just go away and not come and crush us like ants? Seriously, if it were only that easy. And of course this will all happen without obeying or even acknowledging God. Some people don't think at all, they just react. Peace is easy to say but man is incapable of bringing it about.

Isaiah 59:8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace. That way is anyway contrary to Gods laws.

1John 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments

1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Psalms 78:7 That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments

Ecclesiastes12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Psalms 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

It is commonly believed that all you need to do is believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Matthew 10:22 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Mark 13:13 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

1Corinthians 3:14 If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.

You are not saved unless you endure to the end.

Acts 13:38 "Understand therefore, brethren, that through this Jesus forgiveness of sins is announced to you; 39 and in Him every believer is absolved from all offences, from which you could not be absolved under the Law of Moses. 40 Beware, then, lest what is spoken in the Prophets should come true of you: 41 `Behold, you despisers, be astonished and perish, because I am carrying on a work in your time--a work which you will utterly refuse to believe, though it be fully declared to you.'"

If you are a believer you believe what Jesus says and do what He says: Keep the commandments.

I changed my ISP to 1.ConnectTo.net because MpiNet is getting rid of their residential customers. Actually it isn't MpiNet anymore either, they already dumped us to Volaris. Volaris is dumping us to earthlink. No thanks!
So far so good! I'll be updating my e-mail address soon.

Which reminds me, if you need a free POP e-mail account apart from your ISP, Howlermonkey.net is the place to go.

Isaiah 40:18-26
18 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?
19 The workman molds an image, The goldsmith overspreads it with gold, And the silversmith casts silver chains.
20 Whoever is too impoverished for such a contribution Chooses a tree that will not rot; He seeks for himself a skillful workman To prepare a carved image that will not totter.
21 Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. This was written long before any kind of human flight, how would they know?
23 He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless.
24 Scarcely shall they be planted, Scarcely shall they be sown, Scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth, When He will also blow on them, And they will wither, And the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.
25 "To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?" says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.

Everyday when I pick up Joshua from school, James goes into the preschool class and pretends he's going to school. The teacher loves him to come in, and he plays with some of the kids or sits at the table with the teacher. I wonder if he'll like it so much when he has to go for real?

Deuteronomy 9:4 Do not think in your heart, after the Lord your God has cast them out before you, saying, 'Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land'; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you. 5 It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 6 Therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people. If Americans knew who they were

Isaiah 10:5 "Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hand is My indignation. 6 I will send him against an ungodly nation, And against the people of My wrath I will give him charge, To seize the spoil, to take the prey, And to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 Yet he does not mean so, Nor does his heart think so; But it is in his heart to destroy, And cut off not a few nations. This is descibing Germany

Matthew 10:34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; 36 and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.' 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross (Stauros in greek, an upright stake) and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

He says He did not come to bring peace, yet everyone thinks He came to bring peace. If He came to bring peace He failed miserably. He will come to bring peace, through war, for that is the only way to get through to the rebellious people of this world, who would destroy themselves and the whole planet if not for the future intervention of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:19 For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. 20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

Here's a cool site: LightningStorm.com

I spent the better part of the morning replacing the blower motor in the dashboard of our VW Eurovan. Actually if I did it according to the manual I would still be out there.
When they design these things can't they put a little thought into the fact that someone will have to replace it someday?
Friday I tried to replace the CV boots but the CV joints don't come off except with a special tool that you can't buy anywhere. I finally found a place: Samstag Sales
The only problem is I have to wait 3 or 4 weeks for the backordered part. When I put it back together the tie rod end wouldn't tighten and kept spinning in the joint. So I tried to buy a tie rod end. Can't buy just a tie rod end for this van, have to buy the whole assembly. Don't ever buy a Volkswagen thinking you are buying an economy vehicle. Those days are long gone! If I didn't do the work myself I'd been in for a bill of a least $1500.00 for what I've done, or tried to do so far. Sometimes I wish a tree would fall on it or something. If it wasn't for Samstag I would be out there cutting the tree down myself.

This is interesting: Internet Traffic Report

Here's a commentary by Dennis Prager

And another, this one by Binyamin Netanyahu

I saw a show on A&E last night about the Hubble telescope, Behind Closed Doors with Joan Lunden. It was a very interesting show, if you get a chance, check it out. They said it cost $250 million a year to run it! And if I remember correctly, $2 billion to build. That's a lot of money for some pretty pictures!
They believe if they keep looking they will find some life out there. They are so desperate to find any sign of life. They won't find a thing out there though. Nothing. Oh, there is life out there, and some of that life is living on the earth as well. But they will not be showing themselves yet. They will, but not yet.
The fact is they have already spoken to us, helped us, taught us. They left us a book about us and them and what our relationship could be. The thing is, human beings don't want anything to do with them. We don't want to live by the laws that they live by. And most of them that are living among us don't want you to know about them. Anyway, until they choose, man will never find them.

2 Corinthians 4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Website of the day: Samstag Sales Dealer in Fine German Hand Tools - I have a Volkswagen Eurovan and it requires special tools to fix what on other cars would use standard tools. I've tried to buy them from the VW dealer but they refuse to sell them. I guess it's how they force you to bring it to them to fix. Not me! I found this site and now I can buy what I need.

Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea existed no longer. 2 I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. 3 Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look! God's dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away. 5 Then the One seated on the throne said, "Look! I am making everything new." He also said, "Write, because these words are faithful and true." 6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to the thirsty from the spring of living water as a gift. 7 The victor will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son. 8 But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars-- their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

Eventually, God's throne will come down out of heaven with the new Jerusalem. God will dwell on the earth. The second death is just that, death, permanent death. You will niether remember nor be remembered any more.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Death on the one hand, eternal life on the other.

Mark 1:15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news!"

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. But if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come against you.

Eze 33:11 Say to them: 'As I live,' says the Lord God, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'

House of Israel refers of course to all the tribes of the house of Israel, but also especially to Ephraim and Manasseh, of whom Israel said:

Genesis 48:16 The Angel who has redeemed me (Jacob or Israel) from all evil, Bless the lads (Ephraim & Manasseh); Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."

And Ephraim and Manasseh are in modern times Great Britain and the United States, so these prophecies are referring to us, now. For proof go to this website and ask for or view Europe and America in Prophecy. Just scroll down.

THE WORD OF THE WEEK from Neil Boortz

According to that sign in front of the Brumby Elementary School, the “word of the week” in the Cobb County (Georgia) schools is “Democracy.” This is so typical of a government operated school system. My guess is that whoever the government education bureaucrat is who selected this word … that person has no clue that our founding fathers detested the idea of a democracy and labored long to prevent America becoming one. Once again --- the word “democracy” does not appear in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, or the constitution of any of the fifty states. Not once. Furthermore, take a look at State of the Union speeches. You won’t find the “D” word uttered once until the Wilson years. Wouldn’t it be nice if the Cobb County schools could do a little education on the difference between a government of laws and a government of men? I know, that’s a bit much to ask. After all – these are government employees we’re talking about.

And an article from Michelle Malkin

And one from Gary Aldrich

Here I am, here I am or Don't say He didn't warn you.

Isaiah 65:1 "I was sought by those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am,' To a nation that was not called by My name. 2 I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, According to their own thoughts; 3 A people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face; Who sacrifice in gardens, And burn incense on altars of brick; 4 Who sit among the graves, And spend the night in the tombs; Who eat swine's flesh, And the broth of abominable things is in their vessels; 5 Who say, 'Keep to yourself, Do not come near me, For I am holier than you!' These are smoke in My nostrils, A fire that burns all the day. 6 "Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silence, but will repay-- Even repay into their bosom-- 7 Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together," Says the Lord, "Who have burned incense on the mountains And blasphemed Me on the hills; Therefore I will measure their former work into their bosom."

He is talking about US, the United States, Britain, South Africa, Australia (Israel in the bible) and Israel (Judah in the Bible)

Isaiah 65:11 "But you are those who forsake the Lord, Who forget My holy mountain, Who prepare a table for Gad, And who furnish a drink offering for Meni. 12 Therefore I will number you for the sword, And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; Because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight." 13 Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold, My servants shall eat, But you shall be hungry; Behold, My servants shall drink, But you shall be thirsty; Behold, My servants shall rejoice, But you shall be ashamed; 14 Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, But you shall cry for sorrow of heart, And wail for grief of spirit. 15 You shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen; For the Lord God will slay you, And call His servants by another name; 16 So that he who blesses himself in the earth Shall bless himself in the God of truth; And he who swears in the earth Shall swear by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My eyes.

Isaiah 65:17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

Matthew 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ, and will deceive many.

They will say Jesus is the Christ and deceive many using His name.

Matthew 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. 15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. Why worry about traveling on the Sabbath if it's been changed?

Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened. 23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. All the tribes (nations) of the earth will mourn because He is not coming as a meek carpenter from Nazareth, He is coming as Lord of Lords and King of Kings to rule the world with a rod of iron.

31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 7:13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
