He Did Have A Point

Irma went to her friends house Saturday evening and James and I were home alone. Earlier, Irma had dug out a bassonet and left it in the living room, I guess to give to someone. James started playing with it and before I knew it he was sitting in it watching Barney.

I told him, "James, get out of that thing, if mommy sees you in there she's gonna be mad at you."

He just looked at me, "No, if mommy sees me in here she's gonna be mad at you."

Shocked at the absolute truth of that statement, I got him out of there right away.

Voting Accomplished

I took James with me this morning and voted. It took about an hour. No problems at all, everyone was quiet, calm and happy. They must have all been voting for Bush. :)

On the way out a saw a car with both Bush and Kerry bumper stickers plastered on his rear window. I couldn't figure that one out, maybe he has multiple personality disorder. I wonder which one voted though?

One Billion?

Russian Expert Says Flu Epidemic May Kill Over One Billion This Year

The world is on the brink of a major flu epidemic — one that could claim more than a billion lives, the head of the Russian Virology Institute, Academician Dmitry Lvov said at a press conference organized by the RIA-Novosti news agency on Thursday.

"Up to one billion people could die around the whole world in six months," Lvov said. The expert did not give a timeframe for the epidemic, but said that it is highly probable that it will start this year. "We are half a step away from a worldwide pandemic catastrophe," the academic said.

I wonder what American experts are expecting? Combine this with vaccine shortages and you get chaos, and that's just the flu. Wow. I hope they're wrong.

Lunar Eclipse

I took James outside last night to see the eclipse. It was a beautiful, cloudless night, it couldn't have been better. I tried to explain what was happening and I think he understood but, to tell the truth, he was having fun with his shadow pretending to be Rodan. Still, he will remember alot more than it seems.

The Thin Ice

John Kerry - the sociopath to hell?

Some people will say anything, whether it's true or not. Some papers will print anything, because they want you to believe, and act, and vote a certain way – it doesn't mean there's truth in it. Yet, we humans still have the inclination to want to ignore the red flags. It's a phenomenon I research. The ostrich factor. An untrained eye cannot spot the difference between a genuinely great guy and a con artist/sociopath's charming, charismatic personality. The trained eye can, but sometimes chooses not to. Go figure.

This is worth reading, especially if you are undecided.

Think of your ballot like this:

[ ] FOR Kerry - John Kerry, Democrat

[ ] FOR Kerry - Ralph Nader, Independent

[ ] FOR Kerry - Undecided, not voting, Mickey Mouse, or anyone else

[x] AGAINST Kerry - George W. Bush, Republican

We need to vote against Kerry, then make our voices heard after the election and bitch at Bush.

Look Mummy, there's an Aeroplane up in the Sky

IRS: Churches can't pray for Bush victory

In a letter of clarification requested by a traveling minister, the Internal Revenue Service has declared people gathered in tax-exempt churches can't pray for President Bush to win the election on Tuesday

It's the Demoncrats pushing this stuff and they claim there is no God. In that case, what difference does it make if they pray about it?

It used to be you would read the Bible and not be able to imagine many of the prophecies actually being fulfilled in our time but those days are behind us. I am no longer surprised at anything I hear. Not being able to work if you keep the Sabbath - right around the corner. Christians being openly persecuted - it's becoming fashionable. How long before they are putting Christians to death right here in America? Some want to do it now! The way the courts are ruling, it won't be long before they'll be able to put those poor Christians out of their misery. The United States of America a third world country? Financial collapse? Pestilence and disease? We're at the threshold now. It's coming.

"Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
Promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue Sky? "

No, it's not George Bush's fault. It's yours. Every American has a part in this. Every American will be held responsible.

It's not enough to stand by and watch God being ripped from the roots of this country and do nothing, as if you have no part or say. Let your voice be heard.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33

They do what the American people let them do. A silent majority counts for nothing.

Kerry Uncovered

Discovered papers: Hanoi directed Kerry

The first documentary evidence that Vietnamese communists were directly steering John Kerry's antiwar group Vietnam Veterans Against the War has been discovered in a U.S. archive, according to a researcher who spoke with WorldNetDaily.

Where's the "Stop the Insanity" lady when you need her? You really want this guy to be the President of the United States?

She's Hot Blooded

They Know Not What They Do

I like this one by Barry Farber: Forgiving the Bush-Haters

I've never understood more just how completely deceived people can be, how it is impossible for them to undeceive themselves and how God allows this in order that He may show them mercy when He is ready. I've recently completed a Bible study on this subject that really opened some new doors to me.

the one formerly being a blasphemer and a persecutor and an insolent person, but I was shown mercy, because failing to understand, I did [it] in unbelief, 1 Timothy 1:13

But also if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those being lost, in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might show mercy to all. Romans 11:32

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which God has hidden, predetermining it before the world for our glory; which none of the rulers of this world knew (for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory). 1 Corinthians 2:7-8

Yes, they really do not know what they are doing. They are deceived. And that's OK. It brings new meaning and deeper understanding to love your enemy.

Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you! For so their fathers did to the false prophets. But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you. Luke 6:26-28

The Anti-Americans

... And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie, - 2 Thessalonians 2:11

The truth about Jimmy Carter

Carter was an appeaser unlike any previous U.S. president.

He signed one agreement after another with the Soviet Union that served only to diminish U.S. power in the world because we lived up to the agreements and the other side didn't.

He had no problem destroying the ability of the U.S. military to fight because he didn't trust American arrogance.

He told us we had to co-exist with what his successor would call "The Evil Empire" and accept that those under its dominion would be slaves for the rest of their lives.

He told Americans they had an unwarranted fear of communism.

And that's why he served one disastrous term.

Carter was bad for the economy. He was bad for the military. He was bad for America. He left the country in a shambles – demoralized, broke, directionless.

Carter must be hoping that the majority of Americans have forgotten what life was like under his presidency. For those of you who don't remember, life was not good by any measure. We waited in gas lines for fuel. America was on the retreat around the world. The Soviet Union was advancing on all fronts.

Even Carter seemed to grasp that something was wrong toward the end of his first term. So he famously blamed Americans rather than himself. He told us we were living in a "malaise." He didn't understand that he was the primary cause of that malaise.

And roughly half of us want to elect Jimmy Carter part two - John Kerry. Talk about strong delusion! It's really not too surprising, given that the people who most believe the lies (and they ARE lies) are those on the anti-God, pro-abortion side of the country.

And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, - Romans 1:28

Tehran John

Have you noticed how John Kerry has an affinity for America's mortal enemies?

Have you noticed how John Kerry tends to embrace and appease those who hate this country?

Have you noticed how this tendency defines the man who would be president?

It all started back in 1971, when Kerry came home from Vietnam – and promptly switched sides. Though some of his swiftboat comrades would tell you he was never much of an ally even when he wore the uniform of the U.S. Navy.

But Kerry didn't just "protest the war," as he likes to explain it. He sided with the North Vietnamese Communist enemy. He bought into their party line and became one of the most effective, fifth column shills for these tyrants and butchers.

Likewise, throughout the Cold War, Kerry seldom had a bad thing to say about the Kremlin. He opposed nearly every significant defense appropriation as President Ronald Reagan led the way to a victory in the global struggle.

And now John Kerry is at it again.

Now he is advocating establishing relations with the terrorist regime of Iran – even going so far as to propose giving Tehran the nuclear fuel it seeks as a "test" to determine the mullahs' sincerity about using it only for peaceful purposes.

I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone because, despite this incredible history and these dangerous positions Kerry holds today, nearly half of U.S. voters want to elect him president of the United States.

Yes, once again, Kerry is doing what he always does – what he has done ever since he came to the attention of the American people in 1971 and, in fact, what first brought him to the attention of the American people.

He is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

But, this time, the enemy is not a group of communists in black pajamas with conventional weapons. This time, the enemy is a soon-to-be nuclear-armed jihadist nation with one goal in mind – destroying the "Great Satan," otherwise known as the United States of America.

Don't let yourself get caught up in the blind hatred out there. You can never make the right choice in that state of mind. America has enemies out there. They were our enemies before George Bush and they will be our enemies long after George Bush - the only question is: Will they fear us and leave us alone or will they continue like a pack of wolves to attack, mislead, misdirect and wear us down until they can make the kill?

It's happening, Reg. Something's actually happening, Reg. Can't you understand? -- Life of Brian

Pursue the Truth

Guard the door to your mind. Lots of people inhabit this earth who want to control you, and to control you they need to control your thinking. Learn their devices. Pursue the truth, for it is the truth that will set you free.

Many Folks want to Serve God, but only as Advisers

Man is carnal and selfish! This is his normal state.
Man is vain! He desperately needs to feel good about himself.
This is difficult for the poor creature because he has rejected God's Truth and does so many evil things.
Nevertheless, he has become very proficient at it. He has created an elaborate system of lies and confusion and clouded his actions in a pseudo righteousness, of his own devising.

In Roman 10:3, "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteuosness of God."

Man walks this earth with differing degrees of this carnal righteousness, which he has invented, or borrowed from various man devised or demon inspired philosphies.
In the Western world, we have even adopted much of the Bible (perhaps ADAPTED is a better word) as our standard of righteousness.
Of course, we have shied away from those areas of Scripture that would require too great a change in our style of living or we have simply twisted their true meaning until we were able to be COMFORTABLE with our religion.

A long time ago we learned the trick of believing what we wanted to believe.

Man has created his own righteousness, which eliminates most of the responsibility for obedience to God, and at the same time, makes him feel good about himself.
What more could any selfish, sinning human being want - right?
When we look at man, in many ways, he looks pretty good.
He has learned over the years how to make plausable exuses and justify himself in his sins, so that he appears good to others, as well as to himself.
He has a certain sense of compassion for the less fortunate.
Sometimes, this can make him look almost noble.
He likes to look noble.
But we shouldn't be deceived by this; his righteousness is just that - his righteousness! He likes to look noble. He likes to feel noble, but he is not about to do the one thing that would truly benefit the less fortunate.
He is not about to submit his mind and will to the law of God.
No, he may deceive himself, and other men may be deceived by him, but his righteousness is emphatically NOT the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

He is man.

He has loudly and violently declared himself INDEPENDENT of the righteousness of his creator!

I didn't write that. It's just a few paragraphs from a much longer piece by Ed Burson. I just felt it needed to be posted here.

I Wonder Why

Presbyterian: Muslims easier to deal with than Jews

"As an elder of our church, I'd like to say that according to my recent experience, relations and conversations with Islamic leaders are a lot easier than dealings and dialogue with Jewish leaders," Elder Ronald Stone said during the meeting.

Stone of Pittsburgh, Pa., praised Hezbollah at the meeting, saying, "We treasure the precious words of Hezbollah and your expression of goodwill toward the American people."

Gee. It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that Hezbollah leaders will do or say anything to make it look like they are cooperative and willing to make peace but are the victims of the evil Jews who just will not stop oppressing and trying to kill them?

Just wait till you get your little plan all worked out, get everyone agreeing to everything, feel that surge of pride that you were able to do something no one else has been able to do, and then ... oops, time to declare another jihad.

You Can't Make This Stuff Up

I stopped at Walmart this morning to pick up a few things and the guy in front of me at the register was buying 2 packages of Dayquil capsules, 2 packages of Nyquil capsules, and 2 bottles of Nyquil. Not too unusual, getting ready for flu season. The register beeped and he was informed that he was only allowed to buy up to 3 packages and he would have to put the rest back. This was not a kid, mind you, he was quite obviously an adult over 40. I could not believe what I was hearing. Who makes up these rules?

James loves his Grandma

James can be so sweet sometimes. Yesterday he decided he wanted to write Grandma a letter, nevermind he can't write. He got an envelope and paper, wrote scribbled his name, sealed the envelope and wanted to put it in the mailbox. I told him he can't do that and I addressed an envelope for him, wrote a little something on a piece of paper and told him to copy what I wrote. He did a pretty good job. I put a stamp on it and we walked it out to the mailbox. After he put it in, he said, "Grandma is really gonna love this!" I think he's right.

As in the Days of Noah ...

Turn at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.

Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention;

but you have despised all my advice, and would have none of my warning.

I also will laugh at your trouble; I will mock when your fear comes;

when your fear comes as a wasting away, and your ruin comes like a tempest when trouble and pain come upon you.

Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me;

instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah.

They would have none of my counsel; they despised all my correction,

and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires.

For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them.

But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Proverbs 1:23-33

PLO and DNC - Separated at Birth?

Inmates 'have a plan' to run the asylum - Ann Coulter

On the basis of their own insane, violent behavior toward Republicans, Democrats demand to be put in the White House – so the violence will stop. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before the Kerry campaign announces that anti-Bush insurgents control most of the Bush-Cheney 2004 headquarters, and that the sooner the U.S. pulls out of those quagmires the better.

My un-American Democratic Party - Bob Just

Make no mistake, anti-Semitism is alive and well as a political force – and so is appeasement. The two will combine, and my Democratic Party will soon betray Israel. It may not be an overt betrayal. It may come in a thousand cuts rather than with a single blow. But it will come.

All this is more than a hunch on my part. It has to do with core values. One party has them, and the other doesn't. The Democratic Party's leaders may look like traditional Americans. They may say they support Israel. They may "stand with our troops" in Iraq. They may go to church and take communion. They may even sing, "God Bless America" on the Capitol steps – but increasingly their inner thought life is not what it seems to be.

Inside they seethe at "red state" America. We watch the weird, angry behavior of prominent Democrats like Al Gore, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean or even John Kerry and we scratch our heads in wonder. Who are these people? What are they thinking? What caused all this anger, and why is it directed at fellow Americans? The furious fringe is taking over the party. They are solidified in their sense of victimhood. They aren't looking for compromise, but for total victory – revenge almost – in fulfilling their vision for a new America, one that has nothing to do with biblical Christianity or Judaism, the pumping heart of true Americanism.

Last November, famous Soviet Jewish dissident Natan Sharansky wrote a piece for Commentary Magazine in which he made clear that anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism were related. Both express hostility toward the "moral clarity" of Jews and Christians and their shared love of liberty. Anti-Americanism, like anti-Semitism, is increasingly evident both globally and locally – and you'll find them both in my angry Democratic Party!

Emphasis mine. The spirit at work here is uncomfortably close to the spirit of the Palestinians. They accuse others of doing what they are doing, yet vigorously deny they would ever do such a thing, accusing the other of making up lies. The effect is to create confusion in those who are not "in the know" and elicit sympothy to their cause - which is actually the complete destruction of their enemy at all costs. It's a terrific tactic against an enemy who actually has moral standards and a willingness to do good and help others.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12

The spirit of lawlessness is strong in the world and, yes, in the United States. Do not be deceived.

From the article Stop slacking off, Moore tells nonvoters

The president and his cohorts "are radicals out to undo our government, unfund it and tear up our Bill of Rights. That is their agenda - and we have to stop them," he said to rousing applause.

Do you believe that? More people believe that than I would have ever thought. Read the Declaration of Independance. Read the Constitution. Read the Bill of Rights. Study the founding Fathers and the history of these documents. Start here.

Which party is closer to upholding those ideals? Which party respects the morals and belief system of the writers of those documents. And which party has no respect for the way in which these documents came about and no respect for God, Who inspired them. I know it's naive to believe in God these days - more so to actually believe God and do what He says. The time is coming to rethink that. You better be sure. Damn sure.

Read Jeremiah chapter 5 and chapter 9. When it speaks of Israel, it is speaking of the United States and Britain. But even if you don't believe that:

Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this Jeremiah 9:9

We are a nation such as this. The blessings on this country are getting fewer and fewer. The hurricanes, flooding and drought across this country are not blessings. The division in this country is not a blessing. The crime and the condition of our justice system is not a blessing. Fearing terrorist attack is not a blessing. And fearing for our health with new diseases and shortages of vaccinations is not a blessing. I could go on and on.

Just be sure, that's all. Prove all things.

Monster

9-foot 'monster' washes ashore

A sunfish washed ashore in new Zealand.

Sunfish have reportedly washed ashore at least twice in the last four years, and a marine specialist said this occurrence was a "real oddity" due to the time of year.

"The literature says they can be found in New Zealand's northeastern waters in warm summers, and they can stray south of Cook Strait. But this is definitely not a warm summer, rather a cold spring," said the DOC's Andrew Baxter.

Hmmm. Maybe that's why it's dead.

A House Divided

Why Democrats can't stand American unity

Democrats claim that President Bush is to blame for disintegrating American unity. But the Democratic Party and John Kerry are dedicated to dividing America. Democratic ideology rests on the foundation that divisiveness must be achieved in order for communitarianism to be accepted – destroy unity in order to gain power and create drastic change. Republican ideology rests on the formulation that unity must be achieved in order for individualism to be accepted – foster unity within a strong and moral society in order that each individual may be respected.

The Democrats have won this battle. We are indeed divided. Let's just pray the right side – the side promoting unity – triumphs.

What do you want to believe? You should really give that question some serious thought before you ever look at the evidence in a given case. Because what you want to believe is like a giant thumb on the scales as you balance the evidence before you. I think it was a line by Groucho Marx, caught by his screen wife with a young lady, "Are you going to believe me or believe your eyes?" It may be funny but it is close to reality. People commonly sweep incontrovertible evidence under the rug in order to believe what they want to believe.

Kerry?

Yasser Arafat endorses Kerry

How nice.

"The president [Arafat] is frustrated with Bush's policies," he said. "The president [Arafat] thinks Kerry will be much better for the Palestinian cause and for the establishment of a Palestinian state."

Yes, that's right. With Kerry in office Arafat would be able to keep his job as chief terrorist and killer of Jewish women and children.

This is not precisely on topic but it's related. From: Clinton covered up 1996 Atlanta Olympic bombings

And that brings us to great irony of the jihad. The America that the terrorists hate is progressive America: homosexual rights, abortion, radical feminism, pornography, MTV ... you name it. And yet, our progressive friends are almost pathetically eager to embrace radical Islam. Why? There's one thing they have in common: their shared distaste for America.

We are living in bizarre times.

Dennis Prager writes the excellent Why I cannot vote for John Kerry.

A vote for John Kerry is a vote for Michael Moore, the ACLU, Ted Kennedy, trial lawyers, George Soros, the leftist academics who morally confuse generations of young Americans, and for Dan Rather, CBS News, and nearly the entire news complex that daily presents a proctologist's view of America. A vote for John Kerry is a vote for Jesse Jackson, whom Kerry has named a top adviser; and for Al Sharpton, with whom Kerry campaigns; for Sean Penn and his Hollywood world; and for the passionately pro-Kerry MTV, the greatest destroyer of young people's minds and souls in American history. And a vote for John Kerry is a vote for the countries that have abandoned us and against the countries that are helping us.

Where do you want this country to go today?

And finally, Mychal Massie has some questions for Kerry, and a couple for President Bush.

Questions neither were asked

Mr. Kerry you say it was wrong to invade Iraq because Saddam Hussein had not attacked us, had no weapons of mass destruction and posed no threat to America – yet you say it was right to attack the Taliban in Afghanistan. Please explain your reasoning, if you can, because according to page 30 of the 9-11 commission's report, the Taliban did not attack us with WMDs; nor did Afghanistan have any.

Then reconcile your recent statements with the fact that not only had Germany not attacked us when we declared war on them – we attacked them before we attacked the Japanese. We also declared war on Italy. Many would argue even though both countries had declared war against us, the chances of Hitler and Benito Mussolini making it to America to wage war was extremely remote. Were those wars also the "wrong wars at the wrong time and place"?

Where's the Moose?

Very early Monday morning I saw a news item on a local news site about a moose who got hung up in some power lines in Alaska as they were running them. When they pulled the lines tight they realized something was wrong and found a moose dangling by its antlers. There was even a picture of it. I would have immediately downloaded the picture and blogged it but I was on the work computer. When I went back to look the story up later it was gone. I couldn't find it. I was able to find one link to it on a different site but no pictures. If not for this link I would think I dreamed it.

It's Symbolic of Their Struggle Against Reality

2 weeks before the election and so far we're told Kerry will make the wheelchair bound get up and walk and the Republicans are already keeping millions and millions of black voters from the polls. (Of course, the Democrats would never, ever resort to using any tactics that might cause someones vote to be thrown away. No, never!) We are so lucky to have the Democrats there for us to show us how these terrible Republicans are stealing our country right out from under us. Those dirty Reublicans are all that are between us and the utopia we deserve and only the Democrats can give us.

They Think We're Stupid

They must think we're stupid. Every election cycle they treat us to a generous portion of slop. And every election cycle I feel totally soiled by the time the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November gets here. In fact, I'm insulted by their assumption that I'm stupid enough to believe their innuendo and slander. But apparently such drivel works, else they wouldn't keep doing it.

Not me, brudda.

And the great thing about the God of the Bible is his insistence that we think. "Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." (I Thess. 5:21) "Prove me now herewith." (Mal. 3:10)

God does not want you to be manipulated by political or religious leaders. If there is one thing that ticked Jesus off, it was that very thing as practiced by the Sadducees and Pharisees. Freedom is a precious thing that propaganda will jeopardize. Jesus knew what he meant when he said the truth will set you free.

Because the foolish thing of God is wiser than men, and the weak thing of God is stronger than men. I Corinthians 1:25

The Commucratic State

Government grabbing homes – who'll be next?

Government is authorized to take private property by the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution for "public use" - not for public benefit. What is legitimate "public use"? Pretty good guidelines are offered in Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution: "... forts, magazines, arsenals, dock-yards, and other needful buildings. ..."

If government remains empowered to take private property for whatever it perceives to be a public benefit, the concept of private property will vanish; the United States will be no different from a communist nation where government decides how all property must be used.

Wake up people.

Where Would You Rather Fight the Battle?

Ask Kerry one question: What would Zarqawi be doing if he weren't in Iraq?

The most frequently offered argument of Sen. John Kerry and other anti-war Democrats to support their charge that the invasion of Iraq was a mistake is that Iraq has become a den of terrorists.

This claim is true. But it completely undermines the Democrats' charge that invading Iraq was a mistake.

Protect and Serve Update

When I got to work tonight I found out that two of the guys we found on the payroll list were indeed staying here and the police were called out to arrest them. This time different officers showed up and did the job a little differently. One of the Mexicans claimed to have no ID but the officer frisked him and found a Texas ID. He was handcuffed immediately. They spoke with the other guy who produced an ID with a different name. In the process of speaking with the officers he reached for and moved some papers which turned out to be his real identification papers. Busted. I am told that right now there is an automatic 90 days in jail with no bail due to the hurricanes. The hotel has been very quiet tonight.

To Serve, To Protect

The other night we had a problem at the hotel that turned into a very frustrating experience and has caused me to have even less faith or trust for our police officers.

Since the hurricanes we have had alot of out of state workers staying at all the hotels in the area. They work during the day and it seems, drink all night. One large group we have are all Mexicans. You can see them with beer in their hands at all hours, even first thing in the morning. They drink huge quantities of beer and we can load the dumpster 3 or 4 times per day with beer bottles. This is a little off subject but I find it amazing that anyone would drink that much. Even water.

A couple of nights ago our security was dumping some trash at 3 in the morning and noticed a group of them laughing and one of them by a pickup truck. He heard the air rushing from the tire and they saw him and ran into a couple of rooms. It turns out they slashed the tires on 3 cars owned by their company. I called the police and we waited. And waited. And waited. In the meantime I tried to locate the supervisor and finally woke him up as the police pulled up.

The first to pull up was a woman. The other was a (bald) man. They asked who owned the cars and there was a little confusion over that because they were personally owned cars used for company business. Well, that became the focus of the investigation from then on. We kept wondering why they were not interested in the guys who slashed the tires. They sat in their cars for 30 minutes radioing information and filling out paperwork. When we tried to talk to them about the suspects they just blew us off. My security guard and I took the company supervisor to try to find the guys who did this. We opened a few doors, talked to them and found five guys who were the ones who did it. One of them was in bed with his shoes on. We rounded them up and had to wait until the police were done whatever they were doing. I couldn't wait any longer and went back to the office. The police called me to ask me some questions about the supervisor who was out there. I answered them and when I went back out to talk to my security - he said the police ran his driver's license. Why? He works for the hotel. They still were not dealing with the suspects, some of which had disappeared.

Needless to say we were very confused. We called them to report some slashed tires and now they are ignoring the suspects and investigating us. We could only surmise they were afraid to confront the Mexicans for some reason. If he or I had slashed any tires we would be in the back of the cruiser by now. Two more police cruisers pulled up and the guys got out. Pause.

My security guard is a huge man who walks with a cane and carries a firearm (He has a federal permit). He shaves his head and he looks like you don't want to mess with him. His favorite thing to do when someone threatens to take his can and beat him with it (it happened twice at the hotel) is take his cane in his left hand and hand it to the guy and say, "Here you go" and he lifts his shirt just enough to see the gun. That ends the confrontation. He was not armed while the police were there just for the hassle factor. The point is he is bald and I've known him quite a while, long before I started seeing some others guys shaving their heads. Another guy we know started doing it and now it seems like everyone is doing it.

To continue. The first thing I noticed was that both of these officers were bald. I found that hilarious. Sorry, but when everyone starts doing something like that it begins to get pretty lame. We now had 3 bald cops here. None of them were interested in doing anything with the suspects. We finally realized they were not going to do any arresting or anything with them. We told them we wanted them trespassed. We do this sometimes and the police are very cooperative about it. The hotel doesn't want you on property, you leave. Now. They go to the room, they tell them the deal, they make sure they leave. If they come back they go to jail. Period. We get some paperwork to that affect.

Not these guys. They had an officer who spoke spanish and he was laughing and having a good ole time with the suspects while filling out the paperwork. We watched the whole thing. None of them had any ID's and none of them had a home address. Texas or Mexico was all the address they got. A couple of them started walking away towards another part of the hotel which they were not staying and my security brought this up to the officer who proceeded to rudely tell him to mind his own business, they were going to get their belongings. They did come back but didn't have any belongings. When they were finished they let the suspects go back to their rooms, gave us the paperwork and left. It was about 6am. We just looked at each other in complete amazement at what we had just seen. The suspects just disappeared into a vast sea of Mexicans and we can't really be sure of which they are. There are about thirty rooms, perhaps more. Even the supervisor doesn't know them all, too many people work for him. For all we know they gave bogus information too. I thought out loud how long we would have to wait before we called the police again and have them come out and arrest them for not leaving. We ended up not calling. It would have been a huge mess trying to find them again, if they would even try.

The next day he had to call the cops on another room (white guy) and the officer came out and did his job exactly as advertised. Boom, boom, boom, he was outta there.

The next night one of the Mexicans who we trespassed came back to beat up another guy and they called the police out. The officer (not bald) saw him on property and watched him walk next door and disappear. He drove his cruiser around but didn't see anyone.

We are still working on this and we found 3 of the names still on the company payroll sheet.

No one is protecting you.

PS: This would only get worse under Kerry, so don't even think about going there.

Nothing Out There

I did not keep up with the news while I was gone and I'm not impressed with what I'm seeing now. I just can't get interested. Don't get me wrong, I understand the importance of this election and I know the difference between right and wrong but it is so disheartening to see so many people who really haven't got a clue about what's happening, who believe the most skilled liar, who believe truth is what the majority says it is.

Hear the Word of Jehovah, sons of Israel. For Jehovah has a quarrel with the people of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

There is lying, and swearing, and killing, and stealing, and the committing of adultery; and blood touches blood. Hosea 4:1,2

This is the United States today. God wants you to know it.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.

As they were increased, so they sinned against Me. I will change their glory into shame.

They eat up the sin of My people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.

And it has become, Like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them for their doings.

For they shall eat and not have enough. They shall fornicate and not increase, because they have stopped taking heed to Jehovah. Hosea 4:6-10

This is happening now, to us today. Even the religious leaders are misleading the people about the truth of God. Even those going to sunday services every week are not hearing Christ's message. They hear about Christ, but what is taught in His name is almost completely opposite what He taught and what the Bible says.

For many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ. And they will cause many to be led astray. Matthew 24:5

And that is the emphasis of that passage. Many will say Jesus is the Christ, they will use His name, but they will lead people astray by teaching what Christ did not teach. And that is what is happening today. People choose to believe Christianity is a crock based on what they have learned growing up and by what is taught in the churches. I did. I didn't believe it at all while I was young. I was taught by the Catholic church and when I would pick up the bible to read it myself, I came to realize that what the Bible says and what the churches say are completely different. I was trying to fit the truth of what I was reading into what I was being taught and it didn't fit. The result being rejection of religion. I wish I knew then what I know now.

I'm Back

I got back Friday afternoon around 5:30pm. We left New Orleans and heavy rain at 4:30am. I'm still not back to a normal schedule and it is very busy at work so not alot of time for the internet. Hopefully later on tonight I will get a chance to elaborate. Today we went to Nana's house to eat (stuff ourselves). If Irma was more like her I would be very fat. I don't like eating that much on a regular basis.

Having Fun In New Orleans

Today we went to the Audubon Zoo here in New Orleans. It's a beautiful zoo and James had a great time. Mildred and I did too. Mildred is a long time friend, she lives in Orlando.

Here is James on stage in the talent show helping Abner sing a song. He got a bunch of the kids on stage to help and they all had fun.

This is James and Jessica again. She's growling.
James and Jessica

This is my friend James. One particular day my James and this James always seemed to be near each other and everytime I called James, this James would turn around and answer. I told him from now on I would call him Jimmy. The song he is singing is very beautiful and heart felt, his wife is in the hospital with cancer.
James Jackson

This is my friend Chaney. He grew up around New Orleans and now lives in Texas. He sings in the old school, country style. It's beautiful. You can understand about every third word he says when you talk to him. He writes his own songs, sings better than he plays and it's so interesting to hear him tell stories from way back when.

Kerry Insane?

Kerry would still supply Iran with nuclear fuel

Even while top Iranian officials are calling for the development of nuclear weapons within the next four months, Sen. John Kerry insists as president he would provide Tehran with the nuclear fuel it wants for a pledge to use it for peaceful purposes only.

That's like trusting Hitler, Saddam Hussein, or that North Korean loon. I, Adolf Hitler, promise to use this nuclear fuel only for peaceful purposes. Wink, wink. Kerry is a very dangerous man. And that's an understatement.

Pictures From the Feast

Here's James on stage having some fun. Later on he picked up the mike and was singing but I couldn't get a picture fast enough.

James on Stage

This is James, Lizzy and Jessica with the tie. Jessica likes to pretend she's a cat.

James and Friends

I took James to the pool this afternoon and he just loved it. A bunch of people from the church were there and they were all throwing a little toy at each other and James was right there in the middle of it. The water was so cold though. I hate cold water. But then again, I'm a little strange. Everyone else enjoyed it.
