Dedicated to the Obama Administration

Economic Fascism

Why Are the Medical Insurance Companies Silent?
President Obama is now trying to shift the blame for millions of canceled policies onto the insurance companies. You would expect them to defend themselves. But they don’t, either because they are too deep in the deal or too intimidated– or both.

Thanks to Obamacare's passage, the federal government has much more control over them than during the Clinton administration. They have in effect become government sponsored and controlled entities, and the days of their speaking out publicly against their federal overlords are over.

Do the insurance companies like the crony capitalist arrangements they have become party to, or do they think they have no choice but to go along?

Hell Yes, It's an Illusion...

It's unfortunate that so many want so badly to believe it.

Liberalism, the Decline of an Illusion
Liberalism as practiced in today's America is a chimera, not actually an ideology but an alliance of interest groups controlled by elites for the preservation of their (the elites') wealth and power. The interest groups often seem to be working against their own advantage by being so affiliated (e. g. African-Americans are in the worst shape in years under Obama), but not the elites who have been able to thrive. These elites are also able to appear altruistic to themselves and others while behaving in manners that are hideously selfish and atrocious to the common good. Liberalism is not so much an ideology in our society as it is a shield, a defense mechanism for a lifestyle.
He's certainly got that right. I hope he's right about it being in decline, every time I start thinking it is, Democrats win more elections. How anyone in their right mind can vote for a Democrat is beyond me and the only reason to vote for most Republicans is because a vote for a third party splits the vote giving the Democrat the win. We need to get over that third party hump.

American Exceptionalism

Nick Adams can articulate America like very few today. A three part video interview definitely worth watching.

Why a foreigner is rooting for American exceptionalism
One passionate, eloquent Australian reminds Americans why we are the world's beacon for liberty, prosperity and hope — that "a weak America means a dangerous world," and "no less than the entire world is at stake."

The Lawless Ones

The Supersessionists of the Liberal Confederacy
"Law is a consensus. But the left rejects that consensus. It subjects each law to an ideological test. If the law meets the ideological test, which is based on social justice criteria entirely foreign to the American legal system, and the practical test of furthering social justice, it can stay. If not, then it will either be struck down or disregarded. They have applied that same ideological test to the nation as a whole and decided that the existence of the United States does not meet their ideological tests."
Read it, Daniel Greenfield articulates what we already know and don't quite know how to deal with.

Jesus Was For Big Government - Really?

Because I keep hearing from some people that Obama is doing God's work because as Christians we should use the government to help poor people. :-(

I was sent these: Hating the Poor but Loving Jesus?

Shall We Celebrate the 1%?

Basically, the jist is, if you are not for using government poverty programs and for redistributing wealth you hate poor people.

Well, I'm all for helping poor people but I believe the government does more harm than good. I believe using the government for such things enriches politicians and bureaucrats, not poor people. I believe people have a personal responsibility to help, not a collective one. Besides, if you are not giving freely, from the heart - such as when the government takes your money to redistribute - it breaks the spiritual laws of giving and blesses neither the giver nor the receiver (witness any of our inner cities). God's way of personal, voluntary giving blesses both.
"Jesus Christ was not about building empires. Jesus Christ was not about exercising control over other people. Jesus Christ was not about accumulating power."

--David Havir
Mr. Havir's message is not a political one, I just heard that and pulled it out. It fits, but he was talking church, not national politics.

Evil is as Evil does

Satan likes to trip people up, he enjoys causing problems, he finds glee in destruction. I don't see Obama or anyone in his administration or his party acting any differently. Who is being helped? Poor people? I've never seen so many homeless people out there, it's getting ridiculous. Obama is helping Obama and his already rich cronies. That's all. What he says is absolute bullshit, what is happening is real and that reality is about to smack you in the face whether you support him or not.

Dangerous Times: The Crisis-Monger
"From tip to toe, Obama is a crisis-maker, not a healer. He stirs up trouble every chance he gets. Ask yourself how any U.S. president could willfully try to worsen race relations in the United States by flipping the judicial verdict in the Zimmerman trial, and you will begin to see the real Obama. He doesn't care whether justice was done. He only whips up more racial rage."

"Obama favors instability because he can get his way only through crises. That is his ideology. That is also why he sneers at the U.S. Constitution, the great stabilizing foundation of America for two whole centuries."

"Leninism is nothing but personal animosity turned into government policy."

Fence Sitting is No Longer an Option

Live Blogging Media Spin on Gov't Slowdown
Last week, as the prospect of a federal government shutdown loomed as reality, the President of the United States told the media that he would "not negotiate" with "house burners." And with that, the American mainstream media threw away their longstanding belief in "civil bipartisan compromise" in order to stand with Obama.
This morning on the radio they played clips of Obama and company comparing Republicans and Tea Partiers to terrorists, which are in the following video:

I was in the car with my wife - who doesn't actively follow the political scene, but she's not ignorant either - and after hearing the clips she said, " He's trying to start a civil war." And you know, I don't think she's wrong. He has to frame it correctly, of course, he can't look like the bad guy, but he's got the American media in his pocket, they are his puppets and they do what he says. The international scene is a distraction from what he wants to do- crush the American way and any who would defend it. He doesn't attack any international crisis with the relish and enthusiasm he attacks and mocks his political enemies. I say Obama, but he has a huge array of like-minded comrades both in and out of government. They are a real and present danger. They want an uprising so they can crush it. I don't doubt this any longer.

Breaking Eggs

Probe launched over claim that elite Capitol Police unit blocked from Navy Yard massacre
The board that oversees the U.S. Capitol Police has opened an investigation into whether a tactical team of officers that was one of the first on the scene during the Washington Navy Yard shooting was ordered to stand down.

Several sources confirmed the probe to Fox News. The investigation follows reports that a highly trained and specialized Capitol Police team arrived soon after the shooting started, but was told by a supervisor to leave the scene.

The BBC, which first reported on the allegation, quoted a Capitol Police "source" as claiming "lives may have been saved" if the team could have intervened.
This administration wants all guns out of the hands of the American people in a bad way because it is the only thing that stands in the way of total transformation of our society and total control by progressives and they are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. What do they care if people die? They didn't care when they sold guns to the Mexican cartels and they don't care about the people who live in places like Detroit and Chicago because those deaths help their cause.

I'll stop short of saying this shooting was orchestrated but it's sure beginning to look like it was allowed.

Arming Our Enemies

Obama waives ban on arming terrorists to allow aid to Syrian opposition
President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to "vetted" opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Some elements of the Syrian opposition are associated with radical Islamic terrorist groups, including al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa., in 2001. Assad's regime is backed by Iran and Hezbollah.
Yeah, the "vetted" groups would NEVER give the weapons to the non-vetted groups. That totally wouldn't happen.

The fact remains that ALL of these groups are anti-American. All of them. Obama is arming our enemies. And this is not just lack of judgement, he has been on the wrong side of every conflict that I can think of - such as Honduras in 2009, Iran, when the people started an uprising, Egypt, Libya - and I'm not so sure there is a side in Syria. Being wrong so often takes real dedication.

Not Our Elephant

Shooting the Syrian Elephant
America has no sense of purpose. Its leaders want to bomb Syria, but can articulate no sensible reason for doing so. They resort to humanitarian gibberish, but they would never move to stop genocide in Africa. Their motives are not humanitarian, they are conformist. They are conforming to the expectations of the foreign pressures of a region that they hope to order and govern.

That sense of pressure reveals the hollowness of the men within. Men of strong moral courage do not commit crimes because the crowd expects them to. It does not kill to avoid being mocked. It is the hollow empire of hollow men that is compelled to such final extremities, acting out a farce to avoid the inevitable revelation that the emperor is naked and his empire has run out of pants.
Remember when John Kerry said this: “With respect to Arab countries offering to bear costs and to assess, the answer is profoundly yes, They have. That offer is on the table.”
Asked by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) about how much those countries would contribute, Kerry said they have offered to pay for all of a full invasion.

False Report?

Police investigate woman's rape near gay club as hate crime
The woman left Revolution nightclub on Bumby Avenue Sunday when she said three white men began yelling homophobic slurs at her.

The woman said she remembers walking under an overpass on South Street and Primrose Drive, and then giving a homeless man some money before the car pulled up.

The men stopped the vehicle and got out, and then one of the occupants pushed the woman to the ground, where the driver raped her, according to a police report. The woman told police that the men then drove away.
There's something about this story that's not quite right. It just has a made-up feel to it, maybe it's just the reporting. We'll see.

Afterthoughts: Seems like they're more interested in the "hate crime" than the rape. Rape is a pretty serious offense. We need to completely remove hate crime from our legal system, a crime is a crime. It is also incredibly obvious that the only time they talk about "hate crime" is when a white person is the perpetrator. "Hate crime" has become like "Racist," only white people can be guilty. It's just another way to divide people instead of bringing them together. But then, dividing people is what it's all about these days.

Of course, it's not really about gun control, it's about control. Period.

STILL Getting it Wrong

March on Washington's 50th anniversary commemoration draws tens of thousands

Martin Luther King III had this to say:
"However, sadly, the tears of Trayvon Martin's mother and father remind us that, far too frequently, the color of one's skin remains a license to profile, to arrest and to even murder with no regard for the content of one's character," he said, calling for "stand your ground" self-defense laws to be repealed in states where they have been enacted.
Trayvon Martin was not profiled because of the color of his skin - that was incidental - and he was not shot because of the color of his skin. He was not chased down and murdered. Trayvon Martin attacked George Zimmerman and was beating the crap out of him. If he hadn't done that, he would still be alive. It was NOT the color of his skin - he could have been Hispanic, white or Asian - it was his BEHAVIOR. It was what he did. You don't get to beat the crap out of someone because they looked at you or even if they are watching you.

This was proven out in a court of law. The prosecution did not even have a case, in fact, the prosecution's evidence proved the case for the defense. It was an embarrassment and waste of tax payer dollars to even bring this case to trial. So stop repeating lies.

Windows H8

It turns out my sons computer is not activated. That means I have to call Microsoft on my knees begging for my product code. And I have been thinking very seriously about the fact of this.

It's as if I'm staying at a hotel and leave the key in the room when I go out to eat. I stop by the front desk for a duplicate only to be told, "sorry, we can't make duplicate keys, you'll have to pay for another room." But I don't want another room, I already paid for one and I just need my key to get back in - I have a receipt. Here's my ID, whatever proof you need, I'm not trying to get what I haven't paid for.

Microsoft has become that much of a tyrant? I hate tyrants.

Linux, my old friend, I think I'm coming back to you again.

Hatin' On Microsoft

I've been a defender of Windows 8 since I got it in January. I read complaint after complaint about it and almost didn't upgrade because of it. Then, when I got it I couldn't understand all the fuss - it works great, it's fast, I don't care about the start button, and the tiles are not in my way when using the computer. So why am I hatin' on Microsoft today?

I got my son a computer a while back, one of the those mini desktops. It worked great but you can't upgrade it, there's no room for a graphics card, etc. After I got Windows 8 on my computer I bought the upgrade for him, too. He loved it and Microsoft offered an upgrade to Media Center for free, so we got that. Don't really use it, but whatever. It was a separate installation after Windows 8 was installed and had it's own product key - which I thought was for Media Center only, turns out no. I had Windows 8 Pro, now I had Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. It's not like just adding a program, it changes the whole thing to a separate product. This became the problem, well, Microsoft made this the problem. It shouldn't make any difference - I have a product key for both, I legitimately paid for Windows 8 and legitimately acquired Windows 8 Pro with Media Center.

My son, older now, was becoming frustrated with his computer because he wants to play some games and the graphics card wasn't good enough. A friend had a larger, upgradable computer that died on him, I checked it out and told him it was the hard drive, but he bought a new computer instead of replacing the drive. He gave me the old computer and I put the hard drive from the little computer into it and - incredibly - it booted up and worked like it was always installed in it. I thought I would have to do another install. The only problem was I had to activate Windows again but I knew that and heard it was not a problem, just call Microsoft and tell them what you're doing and they can clear it up for you. So I did.

The first person I talked to was very nice, I explained the situation and she said she couldn't do it but would transfer me to another department that could help me. The wait was only a couple of minutes, I re-explained everything, was asked questions and had to be transfer again. The wait was not long, the third person was very helpful, she cleared the Windows 8 product key but it didn't work because the product key I had was for Windows 8 Pro, not for Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. The product code for Windows 8 Pro with Media Center was in an email on my sons account and I didn't know the password. I would have to wait until he got home from school. She said when I got it I could call back. And I did.

Now that I have the correct code, I call Microsoft again. I get transferred again. Then a guy asks me my name, number and email, and said he will open a case number and to please hold. Ok. Hold, hold, hold - 10 minutes, hold, ring, click. They hung up. I call back again, explain everything again, give my information again. He said that what I wanted was impossible, the product is too new and Microsoft can't clear the product code for me. You will have to buy another product code. "What? That's not going to happen. I bought this one. It's the same hard drive, the same installation. I'm not buying it again." It didn't go well. He hung up.

No, really, I'm not buying it again. I don't believe for a second that Microsoft cannot clear this product code. I searched the internet for ways to get around this problem without help from Microsoft. There are ways, and then there are ways. I chose to try this one: How to Remove "Windows Media Center" and go Back to Windows 8 Pro. Since I had the Windows 8 Pro product code and it was cleared, I figure it would be the best bet. It worked like a charm, was very easy, and when it finished the desktop looked exactly as before, my son couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks for nothing Microsoft. I'm not buying it again.

Gotta Be Bush's Fault

3,100 Osceola students going back to school are homeless
The Osceola County School District is looking at troubling numbers to start the school year, but it has nothing to do with grades -- the number of homeless students is on the rise, and school officials believe that number will continue growing.

At the end of the last school year, more than 3,100 students were registered as homeless or "in transition." That is up from around 2,000 the year before.

"It keeps growing," Campbell continued. "We think we'll be at 3,800 by the end of this year. Even though the economy is improving, people are still being displaced."
Let's all pretend we don't know why this is happening, because we all know we can't lay the blame squarely on the head of the Obama administration. He wouldn't like that.

Lies, Damn Lies and Holder's DOJ

DOJ, FBI admit they inflated claims about mortgage fraud crackdown last year
The Justice Department and FBI have quietly acknowledged they grossly overstated the scope of a mortgage fraud crackdown, which the administration heralded with much fanfare a few weeks before last year's presidential election.
Lying to make Obama look good before the election. What a shock.
The real numbers, it turns out, were far smaller. The feds now admit that the number of criminal defendants charged was more like 107, not 530. The number of victims was 17,185 -- still a large number, but roughtly one fourth the size of the original headcount. And the losses totaled $95 million -- not $1 billion, as originally claimed.
Wow, that's an awful lot of made up criminal defendants. And the losses? That's no rounding error. We're talking serious deception here.

Sacrifice for Dear Leader, Comrades

Is ObamaCare a stepping stone to government-controlled health care?

ObamaCare has not even been implemented yet and the people who forced it down our throats are talking about post ObamaCare healthcare. ObamaCare is designed to destroy the free-market healthcare system - plain and simple - just as the Obama administration fiscal policies are designed to destroy the free market. Destroy is the correct word.

But what about the millions and millions of Americans who's lives are destroyed by these policies - you and me? Collateral damage, can't be helped - a necessary sacrifice, comrades.

The New America: Run and Hide

'Run and hide' is Obama administration's clever plan for next school shooting

Number one take a way from this:
The Obama administration report also takes pains to clarify that school employees have no duty whatsoever to physically protect students in the event of a school shooting.
You know what? Neither do the police - there is no duty to protect on the part of police officers. That is something you need to know when determining your self-defense needs. You - and your child - are on your own when something goes down. The government will not protect you.

Here's an excerpt from a new government school training video on what to do when running and hiding don't work.

He Thought the Mirror Was a Window

NYC's Good Times May Sour Like Detroit's, Bloomberg Warns
"Short-sightedness, corruption, mismanagement and perhaps most dangerous of all, special-interest politics" may lead to a reprise of New York's troubles of decades ago, Bloomberg said
Said the man who has been New York's mayor since 2002. What is it exactly that a mayor does again? So, there's short-sightedness, corruption, mismanagement and special-interest politics in the government of New York City - he's talking about the city - and he has been the leader of the city for eleven years. Instead of focusing on those problems, the mayor has been on the war path against salt, large drinks and - hey, that sounds like special interest politics.

And yes, the good times will be souring. He knows it, they all know it.

It's Because You're Black

Took my son to the hardware store, he was looking at the keys while I got and paid for what I needed, not 5 feet from me the whole time. Walking back to the car he asked why the guy in the store was watching him like he was going to steal something. "It's because you're black." "Huh?" He didn't get it. "Stores lose a lot of money from theft and they have to watch people. Everyone gets watched, don't take it personal."

Officials 'Armed to the Teeth' Show Up to Animal Shelter, Kill Baby Deer Named 'Giggles'
A no-kill animal shelter near the Wisconsin-Illinois border called the Society of St. Francis had taken in an abandoned baby deer. Two weeks ago though, the shelter was visited by warrant-bearing DNR officials and deputy sheriffs that shelter worker Ray Schulze described as "like a SWAT team" "all armed to the teeth," according to WISN-TV.
What the hell ever happened to Sheriff Andy Taylor?

Quote of the Day

"Liberals are not about choice; they are about imposition. The way they live, the way they believe, must be imposed on people, otherwise they won't do it on their own," he added. "It's taken them 50, 60 years to get to this point of conditioning people, of taking hold of the education system, the university, academia system, the media. It's taken a long time to condition people not to stand up for themselves, not to exercise freedom, not to speak outside the acceptable norms. What is political correctness but speech censorship, is all it is."

To ensure that "every American is able to choose to live in a community they feel proud of," HUD has published a new fair-housing regulation intended to give people access to better neighborhoods than the ones they currently live in.
When the government calls something "fair," it will be anything but. Will they be moving excess blue state voters into red state areas to create another way to lock in votes for Democrats? Bet on it.

Divider-in-Chief

"The President said that the nation must address the problems faced by young black males."
As president of the nation, Obama is exasperating the problems faced by young black males by giving tacit approval to the violence often perpetrated by them. White America can do practically nothing to influence that culture of violence, especially when it is not condemned by black "leaders." In fact, these leaders often use this violence to their own ends, as Obama is doing now. Obama is driving a wedge deeper into the heart of America. Obama's solution is to take the ability of the law abiding to protect themselves from the violence away so the violent don't get hurt while they give us a "whoop ass." That's not a solution and it's not acceptable. There's no good reason for any of this, but here we go.

"Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed." --Isaiah 59:14
Truthfully, Isaiah 59 could have been written for us. The shoe fits.

Still Lying

"Star Witness" Jeantel says cracka is used to describe police or security - not an insult to white people.
"Let's talk about creepy ass cracker," Morgan said. "People have said that that is a phrase used by black people, cracker, to describe a white person, is that true?"

"No," Jeantel replied.

"How do you spell it first of all," an apparently curious Morgan asked. It was determined the word is spelled "cracka."

Jeantel said the word "cracka" is used to describe someone who "acts like they are police" or a "security guard."
So when Trayvon attacked Zimmerman he thought he was attacking a police or security officer?

Urban Dictionary says: cracka
A term used to insult white people. Has become more popular recently as the opposite of nigger.

was a term slaves used to identify the slave driver with the whip, because of the sound the whip made.

A defamatory statement from the 1970s, primarily used for caucasion males. See also honkey and jive turkey.

A white person. Derived from the -CRACK- sound of a whip hitting someone in slavery times. Sometimes used as a mild insult from a black person to a white person(1) but sometimes a term of endearment.
whitey; honkey; typically used as a slur against a disliked white person.

Ban the Schools!

This is an interesting article on the cause of school shootings, probably closer to the truth than anything else I've heard.

Ban Schools, Not Guns
The easier we made school for kids, turning classrooms into laboratories of compulsory leftist social engineering, the more kids hated it—some to the point of homicide.

"Hope Replaced Reason and Passion Displaced Evidence"

The God That Continues to Fail
Ms. Pita explains that the Cuban people were "victims of what Jean Francois Revel called the 'golden legend of Communism'" too often propagated by the so-called "free press" and most of the "progressive intellectuals" who still overwhelmingly influence students in universities.

Thus, as Ms. Pita emphasizes, the "ideological poison had been already administered by asymmetrical warfare: systematic misinformation about the past, denial of the true reality underneath the propaganda, obscuring the facts and delaying the damaging reports, in order to protect a tyrannical regime that, already in the second year of its ascent to power, had dismantled all democratic institutions in Cuba.
That sounds just like us. It's eerie how closely America is following the same road map. I guess communists have the destroy society thing pretty much figured out, it's the have any benefit to mankind thing they are completely missing. They break the foundation of stone and build on a foundation of sand.
Now, almost 50 years later, is America reaching the tipping point when Obama's transformations create a society where "the laws of entropy" are greater than the laws of the Constitution?
It does take hard work and vigilance to keep a free society free, and to overcome the laws of entropy, which work on society as on anything else. You don't put the work in you get behind, and soon you are too far behind to catch up.

To Discourage, Dishearten, Dispirit...

The Architect of Destruction
Think: Have we ever heard Obama speak lovingly of the U.S. or its people, with deep appreciation and genuine respect for our history, our customs, our sufferings and our blessings?
Ummmm, No.
Has he ever revealed that, like most patriotic Americans, he gets "goose bumps" when a band plays "The Star Spangled Banner," or sheds a tear when he hears a beautiful rendition of "America the Beautiful?"
That would be no.
Does his heart burst with pride when millions of American flags wave on a National holiday – or is he moved to sadness and reflection when someone plays "taps" on a trumpet? Has he ever felt the depth of our admiration of the military, as lovers of those who keep America free feel when soldiers march by?
No, and no. He's proud of and admires himself, does that count?
Obama has never given a speech that is filled with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better, grateful, and proud that, in a short time, our country became a leader, and a protector of so many. Quite the contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he faults our achievements ,along with any of his critics, all for the sake of a laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses his Office to threaten and create fear while demeaning and degrading anyone who opposes his policies and actions. Unlike a secure leader, who has noble self-esteem and not false confidence, Obama displays a cocky, haughty attitude and a dread of being critiqued.

Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissention, unrest, and anxiety among the people rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the "Great Uniter"). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping citizens separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security. He incites people to be aggressive toward, disrespectful of, and retaliate against those of differing backgrounds and views. Through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of rowdy, street-fighting gangs. When, instead, he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured.
Face it people, he's a real downer. They all are.

Stay Out of Syria

Syria's Assad Delivers Chilling Warning to Europe & the World
Syria's president warned that Europe "will pay a price" if it delivers weapons to the rebels fighting him, saying in an interview published Monday that arming them would backfire as the "terrorists" return to their countries with extremist ideologies.
This is not an empty threat, or warning. Libya and Egypt are already gone down the road to dystopia. It is so completely the wrong thing to do. It is as wrong as wrong can be. Which is precisely why I think they are going to do it. When there is a choice between right and wrong, progressives will always choose the wrong. And our government, Democrat and Republican, is full of progressives.

The dystopia is growing.

This SHOULD Worry You

I don't care who you are.

Democrat raves about Obama's epic database
In a video now getting attention once more, Waters said, "I think some people are missing something here. The president has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life that's going to be very, very powerful. That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it's never been done before," she continued

Here's Something Worth Reading

Welcome to my world! A world without guns!
Well, I live in Cambodia. I feel quite safe here compared to some other countries I have been too. You see guns are illegal, so only authorities like police and military have them; along with the criminals. Sometimes we don’t know who is who.

I want to invite you into my world so you can see my house in a gun-free world. You might need the design soon enough in America! My world in Cambodia is a world without guns (at least it is illegal for me to have a gun here). We have no protection from criminals and they are certainly not afraid of me and my smile, so we have to make protection around our house.

We All Gotta Go Sometime

Insane liberals in their own words
“Massive human diebacks would be good. It is our duty to cause them. It is our species’ duty, relative to the whole, to eliminate 90 percent of our numbers.”

"People are the cause of all the problems. We have too many of them. We need to get rid of some of them, and (malaria) is as good a way as any.”

“If I were reincarnated, I would wish to be returned to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.”

“One America burdens the earth much more than 20 Bangladeshes. This is a terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it’s just as bad not to say it.”
It has become obvious that their plans are coming to fruition. If you don't see it yet, you will - it will be too late to do anything about it, but you'll know.

The world is walking in darkness and loving it. Any light is immediately attacked and extinguished. Oh, our enlightened society, how we walk into the valley of death following the Pied Piper and flipping the bird to the True Shepherd.

Cutting Out the Middle Man

South Portland doctor dumps insurance, posts lower prices online
Before the switch, Ciampi had about 2,000 patients. He lost several hundred, he said. Some patients with health coverage, faced with having to seek reimbursement themselves rather than through his office, bristled at the paperwork burden.

But the decision to do away with insurance allows Ciampi to practice medicine the way he sees fit, he said. Insurance companies no longer dictate how much he charges. He can offer discounts to patients struggling with their medical bills. He can make house calls.

"I'm freed up to do what I think is right for the patients," Ciampi said. "If I'm providing them a service that they value, they can pay me, and we cut the insurance out as the middleman and cut out a lot of the expense."
More doctors need to do this. Insurance should be for emergencies and catastrophic events.

Do Nothing. Maybe They'll Go Away

Parking Tickets Issued on Wrecks while Stockholm Burns
But while the Stockholm riots keep spreading and intensifying, Swedish police have adopted a tactic of non-interference. "Our ambition is really to do as little as possible," Stockholm Chief of Police Mats Löfving explained to the Swedish newspaper Expressen on Tuesday.

"We go to the crime scenes, but when we get there we stand and wait," elaborated Lars Byström, the media relations officer of the Stockholm Police Department. "If we see a burning car, we let it burn if there is no risk of the fire spreading to other cars or buildings nearby. By doing so we minimize the risk of having rocks thrown at us."
What you will not find in this article is that the rioters are Muslim - just a little (apparently unimportant) fact. Only it is important and it is not a localized problem and it will not go away by ignoring it.

Intimidation Factor

Obama is not nearly so violent in his intimidation, but he is much more sophisticated in it, and it has been extremely effective. The same cold, heartlessness is behind it.

Sounds ... Devilish

Partisan Nation
Obama is not a creature of the old partisan politics of a balance of power. He prefers imbalances. He chooses chaos. By exercising power he destroys and in his ideological sphere, that destruction is creative. Destroying health care will usher in national health care. Destroying public trust in government will usher in an even more oppressive government.
It is devilish. Yes, but how do we get him out? Even the Republicans are sitting on their hands. We all know what's wrong but no one will do anything about it. Do they have the dirt on everyone? Everyone is scared? Go along to get along is the new Republican motto. So, we've already got the tyrant that no one will touch, and that's it then?

Yeah, I know some are trying but this should be a slam dunk, this administration is so corrupt that the only thing that surprises me is the complete lack of interest by the American people on this. Sign another petition, write another article, write a letter to your congressman - nothing works. We the people need to get outraged and let our government know it in no uncertain terms, without violence, but we must put some real pressure on those we elected. They have to feel it, their backs will have to be against the wall or they will do nothing. What we did for gun control barely squeaked by, there needs to be more pressure than that.

And if you are a believer, especially if you are a Christian, you're gonna need to get right with God. Whatever it takes, look at yourself through the eyes of the Word and repent of what doesn't belong. This is probably the most important thing, without it this country has no chance. We've drifted, time to get back.

It's Here

Probable Cause
Catherine Engelbrecht is a small businesswoman who three years ago, for the first time in her life, got politically active. In short order, she attracted an IRS audit of her personal taxes, and of her business, and the full proctological monty of her non-profit — plus visits from the FBI, OSHA, and the ATF. The most powerful government on the planet decided, for no valid reason, to go fishing in the Engelbrechts’ lives in a sustained effort to turn a law-abiding couple into criminals, and determined not to rest until they'd got the goods on them. There are no goods to be got, but to America's shame this is now a land in which there are laws against everything — or, at any rate, regulations (we're way beyond laws at this stage) — and any one of us is in non-compliance with something or other any hour of the day. So, if they’re serious about getting you on something, anything, eventually they will. And they’ll take as much time as they want: The process is the punishment.

Meanwhile, who regulates the regulators? The president's senior communications adviser dismisses media queries as “offensive“; the attorney general sneers at attempted congressional oversight as 'unacceptable"; and the IRS commissioner insists that to target individual citizens for bureaucratic harassment on the basis of their political beliefs is "absolutely not illegal."
Best argument for limited government is no longer just theory in the United States - it's REAL people. It's happening. What's next, jailing political enemies? Firing squads? We're not there yet but we are heading in that direction. It's time to put the reins back on our leaders. Wake up, you can't keep your head low enough forever.

Entrepreneurship

KFC smugglers bring buckets of chicken through Gaza tunnels
For six years, Rafat Shororo longed for the taste of a KFC sandwich he had eaten in Egypt. This week, he got his finger lickin' fix at home in the Gaza Strip after a local delivery company managed to smuggle it from Egypt through underground tunnels.
See a need, fill it.
The al-Yamama company advertises its unorthodox new fast-food smuggling service on Facebook. It gets tens of orders a week for KFC meals despite having to triple the price to 100 shekels ($30) to cover transportation and smuggling fees. The deliveries go from the fryers at the Al-Arish KFC joint 35 miles away to customers' doorsteps in about three hours.
Now if I can just get some Chicken Delight down here in Florida, that would be great.

When a Nation Forgets God

"Statism," someone has said, "is the Golden Calf of the modern world."
When a Nation Forgets God: 7 Lessons We Must Learn from Nazi Germany
"Whether it's Nazism, Marxism, or Secularism, the state is always in conflict with religious freedom. And the more power the state has, the more laws it will pass to diminish the role of the church. What makes this so difficult is that these changes are made under the rubric of freedom and "what is best for everyone." Thus the true nature of a totalitarian state is always hidden and always couched in the language of morality, progress, and liberty. As in George Orwell's 'Animal Farm,' slavery is defined as freedom, and suppression is defined as "the quest for equality and fairness."
I recently stumbled upon this book on Amazon and thanks to it's low Kindle price, I picked it up to see what it was about. It is a surprisingly good book and I highly recommend it. From the book description:
Years ago, a cartoon appeared in a Russian newspaper picturing a fork in the road. One path was labeled freedom; the other path was labeled sausage. As we might guess, the path to freedom had few takers; the path to sausage was crowded with footprints. When given a choice people will choose bread and sausage above the free market and individual liberties. The promise of bread gets votes, even if the bread is at the expense of freedom. The people of Nazi Germany weren’t any more barbaric, uncivilized, or depraved than any other Western nation of the early Twentieth Century, yet the Nazi regime will forever serve as an example of brutality and extreme racism run amok. What led so many people to such extreme ends? According to Dr. Lutzer, the German people’s progression from civility to barbarity was not extraordinary, and more than a few benchmarks from their transition can be observed in present day American society (Do any of these sound familiar?): - The Church is silenced - The economy is king - The lawmakers determine behaviors - The media controls beliefs - The Gospel and nationalism become inextricably tied to each other - And yet, heroes still have power This short, manageable book does not suggest the United States is definitely marching toward authoritarian oblivion, but that we — especially we believers — must be vigilant in our stand for truth, justice, and righteousness. We must take note of these lessons from history. The parallels are real, but the conclusion is not a foregone one.
Well worth the five bucks.

But, of Course, We Already Knew That

The Broken President's Broken Politics
It was so much easier for Obama to be president when all he had to do was come up with sunshine words and rosy promises, as opposed to, say, executing unworkable legislation, controlling a suspicious congress, creating policy that gave to the rich in order to secure “some liberty for most;” or following a budget that isn’t even written down on a napkin.

Talk is cheap- as is writing- but when you claim the mantle of leadership you actually have to do something. And in doing something Obama has revealed to Americans the underside, unspoken ideology that belongs to the spirit of the Bastille, rather than that of the Boston Tea Party.

It's the spirit that talks about immigration reform, but ignores immigration law -or not- depending on how the spirits move him. It's the spirit that plays the part of constitutional law professor, while ignoring the duty to defend the constitution. It's the spirit that tells banks to lend money to poor people, but punishes banks through extra-legal means- because they loaned money to poor people.

And those spirits create misgivings in most Americans; and those misgivings are strongly confirmed by the economic failures they have engendered.

When you measure those failures against the expectations that the liberal left pinned on Obama via speeches and skin color, and subtract out the deepening number of Americans who think the country is on the wrong track, we can quantify how cheapened the presidency has become. All you have to do is subtract the Obama expectations from the Obama result.

What you are left with is a remainder that confirms that this president is broken.

How broken?

Utterly, 100 percent, non-fixable broken.
Just can't wait until the American people realize it.

The Jubilee

The Jubilee is a concept with which most people are not familiar and when they find out it's origins, will most likely want to ignore. Nevertheless, it is fascinating to me to see how God would order a society because, frankly, it has been my experience that what God says works - whether we deliberately or accidentally follow His principles.

Book Review: The Jubilee Principle
Hopefully without oversimplifying White's thesis, he argues that a society can either plan for the inevitable economic cycles with predictable and controllable results or be blindsided by them with random results.
This is a book going on my reading list.

What Can We Do?

Joseph Farah has the right idea here: How to save America from itself
Because we are fighting with all the wrong weapons, strategies and tactics. We are fighting with both hands tied behind our backs. We are not recognizing that we are fighting supernatural powers and principalities unarmed and unequipped.

Though we are not doing battle with just men and evil ideas, we are fighting as if we are.
Because if it's not already too late, this is the only way.

Take Them At Their Word

No one applauds that they should have the right to marry, big applause when she says the institution of marriage should not exist. We need to stop pretending that Islamic terrorists are not trying to destroy the country from without and we need to stop pretending that progressives are not trying to destroy the country from within. Everything is not OK and everything will not be OK if we continue to ignore the problems. The bridge is out ahead and our leaders have painted a giant paper mural to hide it. But this isn't a Roadrunner cartoon and real people are going to suffer the consequences.

Stupid Helicopter Woke Me Up

3 St. Cloud schools on lockdown after students hear gunshots
According to St. Cloud Police, a group of students reported hearing gunshots coming from the direction of a wooded area near the schools.
As someone who lives in the area of these schools I can attest that it is not at all unusual to hear gunshots occasionally. It's a rural area, especially on the other side of the wooded area. Cows, horses, roosters and , yes, the occasional gunshot - the sounds of America and freedom.

Stop the Presses!

Report: Boston Marathon Bombers Broke Gun Laws to Acquire Weapons
Criminals don't obey laws. They don't get background checks, they don't use ID's to buy guns. Criminals don't buy guns from gun shops. Criminals don't buy guns in any legal form. Criminals steal guns or buy guns that other criminals have stolen - or if guns are outlawed in their country, they smuggle them in. Criminals don't obey laws. Criminals don't obey laws. Criminals don't obey laws. It boggles my mind how many people don't get this.

Doubling Down On What Doesn't Work

N.J. governor proposes measures to curb gun violence
New Jersey's gun laws are among the strictest in the nation. The state does not allow gun shows, for example, is one of seven states with an assault-weapon ban and one of three with a one-gun-a-month law. New Jersey is also one of 11 states with a waiting period for gun purchases and one of seven with a limit on magazine capacity.
OK, so they still have problems with violence? Maybe it's not the guns causing it. So, what's missing?
Gov. Chris Christie on Friday unveiled a multi-faceted plan to curb gun violence in New Jersey that includes expanding government-funded mental health treatment, requiring parental sign-off before children can buy or rent violent video games, and mandating that ID presented by would-be gun-owners is government-issued.

The Republican's plan also includes a ban on the sale of Barrett .50-caliber semi-automatic sniper rifles, bail reforms that would make it harder for people suspected of violent gun crimes to be released, and provisions to make it easier for courts and health care professionals to involuntarily commit people they consider violent to a psychiatric hospital.
Not that long a go New Jersey closed most of its government-funded mental health treatment centers (psychiatric hospitals), children are already prohibited from buying 'M' rated games, and criminals don't use id's to buy guns. I'm also quite sure the Barrett .50-caliber rifle has been a huge problem for New Jersey - used by exactly zero criminals to commit zero crimes. Bail reforms are fine, but how about making sure career criminals stay behind bars until they are incapable of resuming their careers - no more multi-page rap sheets. I also have no problem with committing the violently mentally ill as long as it can't be abused - disagreeing with progressive politicians is not mental illness.

New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts should get together and build a wall around their states to keep their tax revenues in, keep the people from migrating and spreading the progressive disease, and remind the rest of us not to go there. California, too, but they can keep the southern border open.

On Indiscriminateness

Once you subscribe to indiscriminateness, anything other than indiscriminateness is the evil of having discriminated.

--Evan Sayet
You can't reach them because obviously you are wrong for having discriminated and your opinion is blocked out. I'm still trying to figure out a way to use this theory to reach people. It's one thing to understand the thinking, quite another to change minds that are locked into this mindset. And yet, this mindset has so beset our nation that unless many of these 'zombies' wake up we are headed for disaster. You can't just ignore them and move on when they vote the rug right out from under you.

I thought that using zombies might not be a good choice of word (because of the popularity with "killing" zombies lately) and thought of 'walking dead.' And that may be a good description of what they are: spiritually dead. No oil in the lamp. It may be that only God can bring someone back from that state. And there are many, many "Christians" who follow this thinking of indiscriminateness. God is love, love is all they need, ignore anything else - no standards, no laws, there is only love. It's crazy.

I don't know, this is not a planned, thought out post, just some random thoughts.

Re: The Forgotten Children

Gosnell Trial: 15-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Helped Kill Live Babies at Hellish Pa. Abortion Clinic
Ashley Baldwin spoke Thursday of starting there at age 15 through a high school training program, and soon assisting with abortions and administering intravenous drugs. Baldwin, now 22, said she worked nearly 50-hour weeks, often well past midnight, when abortions were routinely performed.

At least twice, she saw aborted babies move after the procedure, only to have Gosnell explain that it an (sic) involuntary response. In one case, she said, "the chest was moving."
If we can 'save even one child' we should. --Obama. Except the ones the "Progressive Elite" deem undesirable.

I don't know what is worse, what went on in that clinic (and I'm sure it's not the only one) or the lack of reaction to it. I mean, shouldn't they be trying to ban scissors by now?

Technological Marvel

The electronic magic they put into this car is amazing and I guess if you can afford the car you wouldn't have to worry about what it costs to fix, but, when this technology becomes more mainstream you will never again be able to get your parts down at the local Autozone and spend an afternoon wrenching in your driveway. In fact, the cars today that use a lot of technology to control everything are too expensive to fix for it to be worth it. We are heading toward throw away cars with maybe a 10 year life. After 10 years the electrical systems start giving problems, you get all kinds of gremlins, and corrosion sets in. I've had German cars before and they are far from immune to this problem.

That being said, this is one very sweet car.

The Liberal Mind

Uproar After Campus Police Respond to Gunman Scare With Pepper Spray & Batons Because of State Gun Law
University of Rhode Island (URI) police responded to a call of a gunman on campus last week with pepper spray and batons,

Deputized campus police officers in Rhode Island are apparently prohibited from carrying firearms on public campuses,

“Simply more guns in the mix isn’t a solution to violence on university and college campuses,” Christine Hunsinger, the communications director for the state’s Gov. Lincoln Chaffee, told Campus Reform.
Basically, if a bad guy has a gun, a good guy with a gun only makes matters worse. So take away all the guns from the good guys and things won't be as bad. See? Simple!

Tony Soprano Wannabe Steps Over the Line

One of Bloomberg’s ‘Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ Arrested For Trying to Force Man to Have Sex With Him … at Gunpoint
One of the gun-grabbing members of Michael Bloomberg’s organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, recently found himself trying to lure a man into a sexual encounter through the liberal use of alcohol. When the charm and alcohol didn’t do the trick, James ‘Jay’ Schiliro (R) decided to go a different route – firing a handgun into a wall in an attempt at intimidation.

Schiliro, 38, allegedly ordered a local police officer to bring a 20-year-old male friend to his home, where the mayor plied him with alcohol, and made sexual advances which the man refused. Schiliro allegedly brandished several handguns and fired one of them into the floor in an apparent attempt to intimidate the young man, who reportedly was in fear of his life.
Organized crime has moved into the government in a big way (because that's where the money and power is). Sometimes they forget themselves and think they are back in the old days of brazen criminality with no consequences. To top it off - using the police to bring his "playthings" around. Pathetic.

I Hate New York

Pregnant Mom Arrested in New York for Unloaded Handgun in Checked Baggage
You're an honest citizen who followed all the rules. When you left AnyTown, USA Airport, you were treated respectfully when you made your firearm declaration. Your luggage, with the TSA lockbox, was inspected and cheerfully accepted for your flight to JFK or LaGuardia and you had no problem retrieving your luggage in New York,” Kane’s website states. "But when you came to the airport to return home and followed the same approved procedure, all hell broke loose. You were arrested, spent several hours or overnight in custody, appeared before a judge where the DA asked for humongous bail, and you were finally released and told to come back with a lawyer. Now you're scared and fighting mad at the same time. What's going on?"
It's perfectly legal anywhere else but in New York it can get you a felony and 15 years in jail. There is no way that should ever happen to anyone, it's completely ridiculous. I think New Jersey is similar.

It's easy to say don't fly with a gun if you are going to New York, but what if you are not going to New York and your flight is diverted? They don't care, same thing happens.

There is a Way Which Seems Right to a Man...

The Bible vs. the Heart
We live in the Age of Feelings, and an entire generation of Americans has been raised to consult their heart to determine right and wrong.

If you trust the human heart, you should be delighted with this development. But those of us raised with biblical wisdom do not trust the heart. So when we are told by almost every university, by almost every news source, by almost every entertainment medium that the heart demands what is probably the most radical social transformation since Western civilization began – redefining marriage, society’s most basic institution, in terms of gender – it may be wiser to trust the biblical understanding of marriage rather than the heart’s.

My heart, too, supports same-sex marriage. But relying on the heart alone is a terribly flawed guide to social policy. And it is the Bible that has produced all of the world’s most compassionate societies.

This, then, is the great modern battle: the Bible and the heart vs. the heart alone.
Yes, the Bible AND the Heart.

The Spirit of the Times

When the survivors of the Holocaust speak, the rest of us would do well to listen. As one of the survivors of their liberation told his story, he included how the SS guards changed into civilian clothes and tried to hide. The G.I.s had the survivors point them out so they could be dealt with. Then he said something never to be forgotten: "These men were not human. Human beings don't do what they did." How literally should that be taken? Was he speaking figuratively, saying that the men responsible for the camps were lacking pity, kindness or mercy? Or was he speaking literally, suggesting a nonhuman class of beings?
Demonic Warfare is an excellent 30 minute talk that deals with what we are fighting right now. If you don't understand this then you can't understand what is happening to us.

Caution is in Order, but...

Full speed ahead!

Gay Marriage and the Dysfunctions of Modernity
The fact is, no one knows what will be the long-term effects of such a massive redefinition of society's most important social institution. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan thought she scored some points when she demanded that the lawyer defending California's Proposition 8 tell her the exact "harm" gay marriage would cause. Of course, the point is that we don't know how such a social experiment will turn out, or what specific "harm" will follow, no more than we know the benefits. Nor can Kagan or anyone else assure us that no harm whatsoever will result from redefining an institution thousands of years old. That's why prudence is in order. Think back to the "liberationist" movements of the 60s that radically reshaped sexual mores and gender roles, which in turn led to easy divorce, abortion on demand, and guilt-free sexual experimentation. No one at the time, except for repressed and despised neo-puritanical squares, said anything about the possible harmful consequences of such massive social experimentation. We sure know now what they are -- fatherless children, broken homes, illegitimate birth, venereal plagues, sexuality dehumanized in popular culture, women debased into sexual instruments, and a declining birthrate that threatens our economic future.
Again, the spirit of evil behind the agenda, behind all of the destructive agendas of our time, is not interested in the happiness of gays, or about fairness, or about poor people. It is about destruction of what is and when the house of cards falls, it falls on all the people inside. ALL.

Be very careful what you wish for because you just might get it - along with all the consequences that come with it.

"Evil peddles tolerance until it is dominant then seeks to silence good"

You Will Be Made to Care
In short, you may choose not to care and in so doing sit on the sidelines or give aid and comfort to the open minded and tolerant who want gay marriage so everyone can have equal rights.

But the world will one day make you care. Your church, should it open its doors to all, but refuse to perform a same sex wedding, will be accused of discrimination. In some places, the church will be forced to stop performing weddings. Many churches will lose their tax exempt status. The costs of sharing the gospel will go up.

Already Christians are being harassed by fellow American citizens for not wanting to participate in a gay marriage.

The time will come, more quickly than you can imagine, when you will be made to care.
It may appear, by my choice of quotes, that by evil I mean gays and that is not the case. The evil is behind and under the issue, it is using this issue, and many others, and cares not a whit for the people involved. When America falls - whatever form that takes- poor people and rich, gay or straight, black, white, hispanic or mixed-- we all go down together.

Fear the Christians!

Why Worry About the Deficit...

when you can just steal the money from your citizens? Quite literally.
Deposits above 100,000 euros in both banks, which are not guaranteed under EU law, will be frozen and used to resolve Laiki's debts and recapitalize Bank of Cyprus through a deposit/equity conversion.

No Escaping North Korean Hell

What kind of people send back those fortunate few who have escaped the hell-hole that is North Korea?
Meanwhile, China is still apparently sending back North Korean civilian defectors as well. Eight North Korean defectors who were caught by Chinese security officers in Yanji earlier this month were transferred to a camp for defectors in Tumen and all sent back across the border, according to a source.

Five of them were children, some of whom had reportedly scraped a living by begging for food.
Sent back to their deaths, no doubt. How heartless can people get? Wait, don't answer that. I don't want to plumb the depths of that darkness.

Janet Napolitano upgrading Saudis into 'trusted traveler' program
Saudi Arabia, which gave us 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers, will soon get the coveted "trusted traveler" status from the Department of Homeland Security.

Only a few other countries - Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands and South Korea - have been granted the same status, which is designed to ease entry into the United States for low-risk airline passengers
Shut down homeland security. Seriously. What is the point? Homeland security is becoming the KGB of America. It's a massive agency designed to keep Americans in line. It barely pretends to protect our borders or even acknowledge terrorists exist outside of the TEA party.

*FYI: there are no terrorists in the TEA party.

IT's NOT a CRIME!

3-year-old boy punished at school for 'shooting' his friends with his fingers
Dobbs was not satisfied with the school official's answer. She states that she does not feel that the crime fits the punishment. The conversation reiterated that he was not being disruptive or disrespectful in his actions. His "crime" was simply "shooting" at his friends with his fingers during playtime.
It's 100% normal behavior, it hurts NO ONE, little boys who play cops and robbers, or whatever, grow up to be normal adults. Little kids who are ABUSED by school teachers and government schools will be the ones who grow up with deep psychological problems. Read how the mother tries to reason with school officials. You can't reason with school officials, they are unreasonable. He's 3 years old! Why are your kids still in government schools?

Institutionalized Child Abuse

Government schools and the culture of cowering
Mark [Steyn] reminds us that "these small things are not small," and he's right:
. . . the scars left by being raised in a culture in which you're expected to go to the trauma counselor if you've been exposed to a gun-shaped Pop Tart does far more damage than being exposed to the gun-shaped Pop Tart.
Creating irrational fears in children is abusive. Also damaging to young souls and minds is the institutionalized squelching of the imagination and the subverting of rationality (kids know that gun-shaped Pop Tarts can't hurt them), both evident in the Pop Tart incident. One wonders if the cogs in this machine ever speculate on the real purpose behind bureaucratic promotion of absurd, arbitrary rules, baseless fears, and mental paralysis. Hint: In what kind of society is a cowering populace a necessity?
And they are doubling down on this stuff, they make no apologies, they give no quarter. And you're OK with that? Where is the outrage, except among the few?

Because the Federal Government Wants to Know

Feds Spend $1.5 Million to Study Why Lesbians Are Fat
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $1.5 million to study biological and social factors for why "three-quarters" of lesbians are obese and why gay males are not, calling it an issue of "high public-health significance."
If someone wants to study why lesbians are fat I don't have a problem with it, study away! Just NOT with federal funds, I don't care if it's a drop in the bucket, there are thousands of these drops in the bucket and they add up to buckets full.

Terroristic Threats?

N.J. Mother Arrested, Guns Confiscated- By Attending Property Tax Dispute Forum

It's a bit of a read to get through what is said to have happened, and I'd really like to see video of the event, but in the end:
She was arrested and booked for "terroristic threats" and "contempt."
Terroristic threats? The Fort Hood shooter (Hasan) was never even charged with terroristic anything - and he killed 13 people. He was "charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted murder by the Army;" No terrorism.

Why are they so quick to label Americans as terrorists or possible terrorists when they go out of their way to avoid calling REAL terrorist what they are? And they are dumbfounded when we ask Eric Holder if they think they can target American citizens with drones?

The Jayhawkers

A pretty good movie from 1959 which illustrates the attractiveness and likability of evil, tyrannical leaders. Interesting in light of what we are going through now. On Netflix streaming.

The Jayhawkers
In pre-Civil War Kansas, megalomaniac Luke Darcy (Jeff Chandler) aims to take full control of the territory with the help of a band of the titular militant freedom fighters. But ex-convict Cam (Fess Parker) wants to stand in his way. Cam wants revenge for Luke's role in the death of his wife and the loss of his farm, but once he joins the Jayhawkers himself he wonders if it might be best to join Luke's cause.

And Another Thing

What's with all the hit and runs lately? A couple times a week at least. Is that just a Florida thing or is that nationwide. too? Seriously, it's an epidemic.

Teachers Behaving Badly

I don't know if it's just Florida or it's nation wide, but this kind of thing happens WAY to much for my comfort. What is wrong with these teachers?

Time for John McCain to Retire*

McCain calls Paul, Cruz, Amash ‘wacko birds’
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is continuing to criticize his fellow Republicans for their filibuster of incoming CIA Director John O. Brennan over drone policy. In an interview with the Huffington Post, McCain referred to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) as "wackos."
Huffington Post? And he is calling other people wackos? There is only one reason I vote Republican. ONE. There is no other choice that has a legitimate chance to win an election. But I am honestly on the verge of not caring anymore. Other will be getting my vote. John McCain is the Republican Biden.

* Lindsay Graham and John Boehner, too. The list is longer, don't know all the names.

Embrace the Crime

Submitted as further evidence the world is going insane.

Guerilla knitting in Leicester 'to reduce crime fear'
Hundreds of pom-poms and knitted items have been strung from trees and lampposts to help reduce the fear of crime in an area of Leicester.

Leicestershire Police hope the "guerilla knitting" or "yarn bombing" will encourage more people to use Bede Park and Great Central Way.
People are not using Bede Park and Great Central Way - presumably because of crime - so they want to encourage people to go there anyway and not fear the crime. Because criminals and police officers need the work?

Universal Healthcare

Japanese man dies after being turned away from 25 hospitals
The man, who lived alone in a city north of Tokyo, called an ambulance after suffering breathing problems at his home in January.

Paramedics rushed to his house but were told in turn by all 25 hospitals in the area that they could not accept the man because they did not have enough doctors or any free beds, a local city official said, adding some institutions were contacted more than once.
Can't wait till it kicks in here.

How Can Something So Right, Sound So Wrong?

Negative conditioning. Especially in our schools, where it is NEVER OK to fight back, to protect yourself. If you do you get suspended while the bully goes free.

Yes, My Son, It Is Okay To Hit People
A couple of months ago, while attending a play group with my four-year-old son and one-year-old daughter, another little two-year-old girl lashed out and hit another child. Her mother, ripe with indignation, swept the girl into her arms and scolded, "No! It is NEVER okay to hit people."

My skin crawled. The scenarios flowed through my head and I couldn't restrain myself.

"Would you tell her that if she was being abducted?" I asked.

The mother stopped and blinked a few times and then stuttered, "Well... that's different."

"Yes, it is," I said. "But you just told her that it was never okay to hit people. That's not entirely true. There are times it's okay to hit people and to hit them hard."

Project Much?

Reich: Tea Party 'Conspiracy to Undermine the Government of the United States'
Reich, who has steadfastly supported President Barack Obama's big-government, tax-and-spend agenda, wrote that the Tea Party had "infiltrated" the government at every level, and had used the budget cuts in the sequester to begin "dismantling pieces of it." He outlined the rest of his conspiracy theory at the left-wing Salon.com:

Imagine a plot to undermine the government of the United States, to destroy much of its capacity to do the public’s business, and to sow distrust among the population.

Imagine further that the plotters infiltrate Congress and state governments, reshape their districts to give them disproportionate influence in Washington, and use the media to spread big lies about the government.

Finally, imagine they not only paralyze the government but are on the verge of dismantling pieces of it.

Far-fetched? Perhaps. But take a look at what’s been happening in Washington and many state capitals since Tea Party fanatics gained effective control of the Republican Party, and you’d be forgiven if you see parallels.
Wow, "the Tea Party had "infiltrated" the government at every level" in, like, 5 years. In fact, and let me quote the Wikipedia article:
The Tea Party movement is not easily defined, primarily because there is not a single "Tea Party." It consists of hundreds of groups at the grassroots level, of varying size, influence and priorities. It is highly factionalized, with no clear leadership or centralized structure.
it did all Robert Reich claims "with no clear leadership or centralized structure." Now that's incredible! That's amazing considering it took communists many decades to finally get to the point of fundamentally changing our government and then claiming America has always been a socialist nation and anyone who disagrees and tries to block their fundamental change is a terrorist.

The problems is, the young people they are teaching believe them. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.

It's Policy

Nurse Refused to Give CPR to a Dying Woman
An elderly California woman died after a nurse at her senior living facility refused to perform CPR, despite a 911 dispatcher begging her over the phone.

Instead, the nurse said the facility's policy prohibited her from stepping in to save the woman's life.

"It's a human being," dispatcher Tracey Halvorson said in 911 audio released by the Bakersfield, Calif. fire department, according to the Los Angeles Times. "Is there anybody that's willing to help this lady and not let her die?"

"Not at this time," came the answer.
And the love of many will wax cold.

It's Preposterous

Mayor Bloomberg on spending money we don't have:
"We are spending money we don’t have," Mr. Bloomberg explained. "It's not like your household. In your household, people are saying, ‘Oh, you can’t spend money you don’t have.’ That is true for your household because nobody is going to lend you an infinite amount of money. When it comes to the United States federal government, people do seem willing to lend us an infinite amount of money. … Our debt is so big and so many people own it that it's preposterous to think that they would stop selling us more. It's the old story: If you owe the bank $50,000, you got a problem. If you owe the bank $50 million, they got a problem. And that's a problem for the lenders. They can’t stop lending us more money."
So that's how it works, eh. Well, since we're talking an infinite amount of money, how about giving all of us a million dollars a year? No more poor! Imagine! It's preposterous to think that would be a problem.

Schools Becoming Child Abuse Centers

Schools locked down over "ambiguous message" taken as threat
Beaver County schools had their lives "flipped, turned upside down" Thursday morning when a phone greeting involving the theme song from the 1990s sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" was taken as a threat.

All schools in the county were advised to lock down for about 20 minutes while police searched for a 19-year-old Ambridge Area High School student whose greeting to callers was mistakenly taken as a threat about "shooting people outside of the school."

The actual line from the song is "And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school."
Aren't they embarrassed to be so stupid? Doesn't someone - anyone - between the school secretary to the police department have any sense at all. Seriously. They locked down all the schools and took the kid (who was in the guidance office) into custody because he sang the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on his voice mail greeting?
"The procedures in place were efficient and quickly implemented and proved to be successful,"
Successful? It's the exact opposite of successful. They double down on stupid. It's child abuse.

They make it sound like it's funny in this newscast. And police say the student has learned his lesson? What lesson is there for the student? That adults are idiots? It took the police 3 hours and searching his locker to determine there was no threat? Couldn't they just listen to his phone greeting before flying off the handle? And yes, you can be too careful.
