That's the First Thing I Thought Of

Gutfeld rips paper publishing gun owners addresses: Makes non-gun owners ‘the easiest marks’
"If anything, non-gun owners should be livid for the paper made them the easiest marks. Just look at this map — what do you see? Not just pockets of gun owners in red, but pockets without. How comfy would you feel knowing your gun-free zone is now public?"

You Can't Ban Crazy

And in a country of no guns in the hands of civilians: Chinese man drives car into students, injuring 13
A man angered by a court ruling in the murder of his daughter rammed a car loaded with a gas tank and firecrackers into a group of middle schoolers, injuring 13 in the country's latest attack on students.

Where Have I Been?

There is a world record for a person holding the most rattlesnakes in their mouth? Why? Who thought that up?

There is a show called Rattlesnale Republic? Wow.

Brandishing. How Completely Silly.

DC Police Investigating NBC's David Gregory for Brandishing Illegal Magazine
Washington D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier has confirmed that the department is looking into allegations that NBC's David Gregory violated D.C.'s gun banning laws during a recent taping of Meet the Press.
As is always the case, the only people negatively effected by gun bans are the law abiding. Brandishing a magazine! He could have put an eye out!

How about disarming and putting gang members away? No, that would be too dangerous and politically incorrect.

Sums It Up

Ready to eat: the first GM fish for the dinner table
A GM [genetically modified] salmon which grows twice as fast as ordinary fish could become the first genetically-modified animal in the world to be declared officially safe to eat, after America's powerful food-safety watchdog ruled it posed no major health or environmental risks.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it could not find any valid scientific reasons to ban the production of GM Atlantic salmon engineered with extra genes from two other fish species – a decision that could soon lead to its commercial production.
If the government puts its stamp of approval on it it must be safe. Right?

I just hope they label them genetically modified (they won't) because I hate the thought of not eating salmon ever again.

Hebrew is a Fascinating Language

"The purpose of giving is to give to the point where the person doesn't need you anymore, to create independence, I want to give to the point where I can give the real gift; you don't need me, I've stopped giving. Real giving is to create an independent person"
There are many insightful tidbits in this video, definitely worth watching.

Only Sensible Solution

Now, we must speak … for the safety of our nation's children.

Because for all the noise and anger directed at us over the past week, no one — nobody —has addressed the most important, pressing and immediate question we face: How do we protect our children right now, starting today, in a way that we know works? The only way to answer that question is to face up to the truth. Politicians pass laws for Gun-Free School Zones. They issue press releases bragging about them. They post signs advertising them.

And in so doing, they tell every insane killer in America that schools are their safestplace to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk. How have our nation's priorities gotten so far out of order? Think about it. We care about our money, so we protect our banks with armed guards. American airports, office buildings, power plants, courthouses —even sports stadiums —are all protected by armed security.

We care about the President, so we protect him with armed Secret Service agents. Members of Congress work in offices surrounded by armed Capitol Police officers.

Yet when it comes to the most beloved, innocent and vulnerable members of the American family —our children —we as a society leave them utterly defenseless, and the monsters and predators of this world know it and exploit it. That must change now!

Massad Ayoob: Understanding Both Sides
The "gun control" debate has, from its beginning, been a battle fueled by emotion and symbolism on the banning side, and by logic and common sense on the side of the responsible gun owners. The fires of emotion flare brightly, but they burn down with time, particularly when dampened by logical public discourse.

I suspect this is why POTUS is moving so quickly on his long-promised gun banning legislation, which he has said he wants to see on his desk by sometime next month. It is why he appointed to lead a supposedly impartial fact-finding commission none other than long-time gun ban advocate Joe Biden, which is rather like appointing the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church as chair of a committee to study gay rights.

Leading the charge are "journalists" who've abandoned all pretense to impartiality and fact finding. CNN has become "all gun control, all the time" over the past week.

In a World Without Guns...

Woman Robbed By Man With Sword
Police say the woman was pumping gas at Sweet Pea’s Food Mart, when a man with a sword approached her and held it to her throat.

The victim handed over her purse, and the suspect took off with it.

Ignoring the Facts. Again.

After School Shooting, Anti-Gun Advocates Want NRA President, Members to Be Shot

#1. Shooter was not an NRA member.

#2. Shooter was not even a gun owner. And he was turned down when he tried to buy a gun.

Thomas Sowell, who continues to impress me, writes: Gun-control zealots rise, again
Gun-control zealots’ choice of Britain for comparison with the United States has been wholly tendentious, not only because it ignored the history of the two countries, but also because it ignored other countries with stronger gun-control laws than the United States, such as Russia, Brazil and Mexico. All of these countries have higher murder rates than the United States.

You could compare other sets of countries and get similar results. Gun ownership has been three times as high in Switzerland as in Germany, but the Swiss have had lower murder rates. Other countries with high rates of gun ownership and low murder rates include Israel, New Zealand and Finland.

Guns are not the problem. People are the problem – including people who are determined to push gun-control laws, either in ignorance of the facts or in defiance of the facts.

If Only...

Family, friends remember the brave, caring legacy of Sandy Hook teacher Vicki Soto, 27
Teacher Victoria Soto used her body to shield her students from the maniacal gunman who launched a massacre at a Connecticut school, relatives said Saturday.
If only she'd had a gun. Of course, that's not her fault, it's verboten in schools. Gun free zone, don't you know. Except when it's not.

Laws do not alter a persons behavior except voluntarily. I choose to obey laws and you choose to obey laws, criminals choose NOT to obey laws. How many laws did this monster break before he even got to the school? He lived in New Jersey, not a gun friendly state by any means. Most likely he could not have gotten his guns legally, certainly it was illegal for him to transport them in his car. Connecticut is not a gun friendly state either. He didn't care. He killed his mother and kindergarteners, they don't come much sicker than that. And more deserving of death.

Love. But God says to love everyone. You don't stop violence with more violence. Really? Would it not have been an act of love if Vicki Soto could have pulled a gun and stopped the monster before he could slaughter so many kids? Was it not a waste - but heroic, yes - that she could only be the first to die? Is it love to let monsters like this do what they want at the cost of so many innocent lives? I think not. It's not love if I let a monster hurt my family and, damn straight, I want to have the advantage if a situation like that arises. The gun is the equalizer. It's my fire extinguisher. I hope against hope I never have to use it, I don't even like to think about having to use it like that, but I hate the thought of what could happen if I don't have the right to use it. Do-gooders who think they are saving the world are, in their ignorance, doing much more harm than good.

Now, watch the video, he's got some good points, too.

Socialists Don't Like Rich People

So they demonize them and harass them and endlessly take from them, then can't figure out why everyone is destitute. It's such an easy thing to think through, why do so many people miss it?

There are evil rich people, yes. But there are also evil poor people. I'd venture to say there are many more evil poor than evil rich. Having money or not having money does not make one evil or good. Coveting and/or stealing another persons property however, that is an evil. We have laws against it. God has laws against it. You don't even need a law to tell you it is wrong, you know how you feel when someones steals from you. Generous? Even if you are forgiving, it hurts.

So, we want to base our government on theft? How does that even begin to make sense to an atheist, let alone some of the "Christians" I hear proclaiming the "virtues" of socialism. Mob rule. Mob rule crucified Jesus.

How Socialism Has Doomed France
"It is the tragic flaw by which the grand ambition of socialism has always failed, and will always fail. Human nature resists any attempt to seize one's property beyond what he would willingly give. This is the very basis of the social contract between a free man and a just government. A man chooses to take part. If that social contract is amended to be uniquely biased against his right to property, absent his consent, he may rightfully exercise his right to liberty and seek avenues to establish a new contract with a government, either by revolution or, more commonly today, expatriation."

Rivals

Kingdoms in Conflict
Luke’s account of the birth of Jesus has a specific reference to the most powerful man in the world. “And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.” (Luke 2:1)

Thus we are introduced to two kingdoms, the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Caesar. And they were – and are – rivals.

This is Not a Government, this is a Tumor

They Should Have Built a Wall

Despite Tax Increase, California State Revenues in Freefall
Democrats thought they could hammer "the rich" by convincing voters to pass Proposition 30 to create the highest state income tax in the nation. But it now appears that high income earners have already “voted with their feet” by moving themselves and their businesses out of state, resulting in over $1 billion shortfall in corporate and income taxes last month and the beginning of a new financial crisis.
That's one reason they can't let people out of a communist country, if all the wealth creating people leave they run out of other people's money faster. Not that they would keep working so hard to create wealth when it is confiscated from them anyway. Will they never admit they are wrong?

Managing the Problem IS the Problem

The Python Challenge
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission touts the month-long contest as a way to raise public awareness about the threat the exotic constrictors pose to native wildlife in the Everglades and potentially put a dent in their population. Scientists estimate that thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of the once-popular pets now live in the wild
Why not just put a bounty on the snakes? It doesn't have to be large, just enough so people can put some food on the table doing us the favor of ridding the Everglades of an alien species. Open season all year - we're not trying to manage the population, we want them all gone. Believe me, we can hunt a species to extinction if we put our minds to it, it wouldn't be the first time. In this case it would be the right thing to do. Instead, we have:
Increasing public awareness about Burmese pythons and how this invasive species is a threat to the Everglades ecosystem, including native wildlife, is the goal of the 2013 Python Challenge.
Here we have the typical government reaction to a problem - manage the problem so it always exists and government bureaucrats always have a job while bitching about how terrible the problem is. It's enough to make you scream.

Because It Bears Repeating

Over and over.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep on saying it until such a time as communism finally falls for good: In practice, communism has only ever been about the wealthy and well-positioned maintaining their power and privilege over the meticulously brainwashed masses. Communism is not and never has been about ensuring the happiness of equality, preventing the misery of suppression, and socio-economic justice for all mankind, or whatever baloney it is the regime force-feeds the masses from all sides — the state runs or regulates the media, the schools, the Internet, just about everything over there. Ain’t no income disparity like communist income disparity, and while the city-dwelling members of China’s billion-strong population generally appear fairly materially well-off, the other hundreds of millions of rural peasants living in back-breaking, dirt-scraping poverty are largely kept out of sight.
Chinese communist party officially bans pomp and circumstance

I Witnessed a Police Chase Today

A middle-aged, heavy black male was jogging down the sidewalk - barely jogging - right around midnight. Following closely behind on foot was a police officer, matching the cadence of the suspect. Slightly to the rear a patrol car was inching along behind on the side of the road, lights on. It was like the O.J. chase on foot. At one point the suspect tripped and fell to the ground.

I was working at the time and that is all I saw, it wasn't a time I could stop and gawk at all the excitement. I so wanted that on camera though!

Patriotism

So what is patriotism? Here’s what it's not: it's not an allegiance to the government of the day, or to its invariably wicked, un-American policies. It's an affinity for your community; it's an understanding of the great principles upon which this country was founded—which have been excised by successive governments, Republican and Democratic alike. And it's a commitment to restoring the republic of private-property rights, individual freedoms, and radical decentralization.

What You Don't Know Can Kill You

Yes, it's a long video but it is very interesting in that you will learn about what John P. Holdren, the current White House science czar, has written and advocates and why, being in the position that he is, it is a very scary proposition for America and the world. This is someone - one of many - that the President of the United States has chosen to surround himself with as advisors and fellow fundamental changers.

Given what has transpired in the past, over and over again, it is no great leap to think it may happen again in the future, and if it does, these are the among people who will help bring it about.

Jesse Jackson Jr. Resigning From Congress
Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has resigned from Congress, citing health reasons and an intensifying federal investigation into the use of his campaign funds.
You know it's bad when a Democrat resigns. Republicans resign the first chance they get but Democrats push on through regardless of the circumstance. Usually. Sitzen Machen!

Three excellent James Cagney movies. I've seen his most famous movies on TV a long time ago but I'd never seen, or even heard of, most of his work and thanks to Netflix I found these three gems.

The first, Run For Cover, is a western. This is the first one I ran across and I really enjoyed it. Made me want to watch more James Cagney.

Next: The Gallant Hours. He is Adm. William Halsey in this one during the war at Guadalcanal.

Next: One, Two, Three. I don't know where the title comes from (Yes, I do. He talks fast, missed it the first time) but this one is funny and it highlights the fact that we have already been through the whole communist/free market thing before. It takes place in 1961 Germany after the Communists sealed off the border of East Berlin and James Cagney works for Coca-Cola. His boss sends his daughter to stay in Berlin with Cagney's family and she ends up falling in love with a communist. Hilarity ensues.

Comrade 1: "...then we just cross the border into West Berlin."

Comrade 2: "That's easy for you to say, you're a bachelor, but if I defect, you know what they will do to my family? They will line them up against the wall and shoot them - my wife, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, my brother-in-law... Comrades, lets do it!"

The Road We're On

Special Report: How a vicious circle of self-interest sank a California city
San Bernardino's problems appear to be mainly the result of back-scratching on an epic scale.
This goes on at all levels of government all over the country. It's only a "problem" in San Bernardino because they ran out of other peoples money before the rest of us. They are one of the first to find the cliff.

What is Freedom?

Rush hits the nail on the head here.
We are the party of liberty. We are the essence of liberty and freedom. That's what it's all about. When I made my CPAC speech, the theme was liberty. We want this to be the greatest country ever. We want you to be the best you can be. We want everybody to be the best they can be. We want to get all the obstacles out of people's way. Freedom. Why is that a hard sell? Because it is. Freedom did not win in this election. Freedom did not win. Why is it a hard sell? Why are those of us proclaiming freedom, why are we the ones mocked, laughed at, insulted or impugned? 'Cause that's all we stand for, that's all we want for anybody and ourselves is liberty and freedom.

And yet look at how we're really viewed. We are seen as the deniers of freedom. And why? Well, we don't believe in abortion, and to the left the ultimate freedom is aborting your baby. Gay marriage. We're said to be on the wrong side of gay marriage. To the left, especially to the young today, gay marriage, gay rights is the legalized pot issue of the sixties. It is the thing they care most about. It is the civil rights issue of the sixties. Gay rights and gay marriage, among young college people, age 30, maybe a little older.

We are not looked at as people who believe in freedom. They see us as thwarting their freedom. Figure that. Now, there's a reason why. I know the answer. That is because on our side, along with freedom, there are natural limits to it that we call morality. And that's what the other side doesn't want any part of. You start talking about morality, that's judgmental. That's not freedom. If you start implementing morality, they say you're imposing your moral views on everybody, when all we think we're doing is continuing traditions and institutions which have been shown to maintain the freest, most productive, conducive, peaceful society the world has known.

Morality is a key element. Don't talk to them about that. Morality, it's old-fashioned, it's none of your business. I mean, when Romney goes around and talks about limiting regulations on entrepreneurs, it's the essence of the liberty agenda, it's the essence of an economic free agenda. But culturally, freedom in pop culture means no obstacles on the road to what we call depravity and decadence. They call it enlightenment, emancipation. I'm sorry. To fix this is going to be a cultural undertaking, in addition to or instead of political.

That's just how they define it, Congressman. What he thinks is liberty and freedom is the absence of totalitarianism, authoritarianism. It's not at all how pop cultural leftists see freedom. They see freedom as no conservatives around. They see freedom as no corporations. They see freedom as you don't have to work, and you can still live. You don't have to have to accept any responsibility or accountability. It will be taken care of. A doctor shouldn't profit from making somebody well. You want to talk about morality, to them that's immoral. Because at the top of all this has been decade after decade after decade of the trashing of capitalism.

What do you think free markets means to the vast majority of people that voted for Obama? You think it means anything? Do you think the phrase "free markets" means anything to them? Greed, exploitation, taking advantage of. Free markets to them is evil corporations outsourcing jobs or paying people the minimum wage. It's the opposite of fair markets. Fair markets, of course, are when authoritarians make rules for everybody that they must follow.
God's formula for freedom works, the world's formula does not. However, in the history of man, being wrong has never stopped him from moving full speed ahead with what it thinks is right and failing miserably.

Mark Steyn rips White House press corps 'court eunuchs': 'You made fools of yourselves'
"The idiot from The New York Times asking a question on global warming? Some giggly little schoolgirl from Chicago wetting her knickers, saying she's watched Obama win every time?"

"I mean, you're supposed to be grown men and women," Steyn continued. "You made fools of yourselves. He gives his first press conference in whatever it is — in one, two, three, twelve years — and you don't even think about extracting any meaningful information from him."
My biggest beef with so-called journalists is that all during the breaking of Fast and Furious and the Benghazi scandal they act like nothing is happening but the minute a general gets a little nooki on the side they are all over it and come out with the minutest of details - pictures, emails, everything comes out of the woodwork - and go on and on for days about, only interrupted by Israel defending itself (How dare they!).

Journalism is a joke!

A Letter to the Country from an Emergency Physician
I am an emergency physician with an apolitical message in this rather politically charged, polarized time in our country. I have worked for some time in this profession, and have noticed a disturbing trend about which I must speak out — the growing number of emergency department scenarios in which the selfishness and entitlement of those without real emergencies drown out the quiet suffering of those in real need.

Amazing story of survival after Toms River man leaves 'farewell' note
He said he was at his home in the Green Island community of Toms River when his kitchen was swept away, so he walked out of his house and was swept up in the current. He said he was pulled a half-mile into the bay and then spent about four hours trying to swim back home.

"Well, the current took me to somewhere, which I didn't even know where I was, and it threw me back into the bay. And I tried to swim back to my house for some reason," Mike said. "You know, sometimes you don't think."
He ends up in a strangers house that has towels on the sofa and wool blankets laying around, seemingly prepared for him. Amazing.

US Government Invited Brazilian Psychic to Avert Sandy
According to Istoé, a major Brazilian magazine, Brazilian psychic Adelaide Scritori had travelled in a hurry to the Caribbean Islands by invitation from the US government and an insurance company in New York. Her purposed mission was to weaken Superstorm Sandy.

Her husband, who is also the spokesman for Chief Coral Snake Foundation in Brazil, said that her mission was a success, because without her intervention the superstorm would have claimed thousands of lives.

This is not the first time that psychic Scritori intervenes in America. During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, she also invoked spirits and, according to his followers, she “saved” thousands of people.
I partly believe this because it sounds like Obama, he "saved" thousands of jobs. Or is it millions? Does it make a difference?

The Marathon Must Go On?

Bloomberg diverts food, generators from devastated Staten Island to NYC marathon
Considering all the volunteer help and NYPD attention that's already being diverted to the Marathon, the added sight of generators and food being channeled to the event is probably going to strike some New Yorkers as a little misplaced—we're thinking of the ones who are currently lined up waiting for the National Guard to ration out MREs and bottles of water.
Yes, that's it, a little misplaced. The runners should refuse to run the marathon this year.

Update: Marathon cancelled.
It is the right thing.

Really? New Jersey Turns Away Non-union Relief Crews
How desperate is hurricane-ravaged New Jersey? Not desperate enough to suspend a union monopoly that keeps the state in the bottom ten states for economic competitiveness (and #48 for business friendliness). Relief crews from Alabama who were specifically called to New Jersey found themselves diverted to Long Island, NY after they arrived because they use non-union labor.
I hate New Jersey, grew up there, escaped.

But wait, there's more.
A business coordinator at a power company in western Georgia told The Daily Caller Friday afternoon that workers from his electric-utility employer were not permitted to help restore power to New York consumers because they would not join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

On Thursday evening WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Ala. reported that the devastated coastal town of Seaside Heights, N.J. turned away a crew from Decatur Utilities in Decatur, Ala., saying they couldn’t do any work there because they’re not union employees.

I've been looking at photos of the devastation at the Jersey shore - I grew up there, so it's what most interested me- and I have to say it is beyond belief. The Jersey shore is no stranger to storm damage but it really looks like all the stars aligned for Sandy. Thank God the loss of life was minimal.

And I don't want to make light of anyone's pain or suffering but this one sentence taken from the linked article above belongs in the "there's always one" category:

I don't think anyone will be going to jail over this - let alone the president - but not because they don't deserve to. Gun running, murder and cover-up is apparently not a crime if you are the government, or at least a Democrat.

This is like they thought, "We got away with Fast and Furious, let's try it bigger and more spectacular!"

Life is Unfair

French Socialists: Unfair That Some Children Have Good Parents
Socialist French President François Hollande is unhappy with the "inequality" of education in his country. He thinks it's unfair that some children get schoolwork help from their parents at home while others don't. To address this perceived injustice, Hollande plans to ban all homework in French schools and force all students to complete their work at school. In typical socialist fashion, he wants to "foster educational equality" not by raising performance standards and increasing educational opportunities for everyone, but by punishing those children whose parents take an interest in their education and dare support them at home.

This latest education reform spectacle in France showcases the intellectual and moral bankruptcy of socialism. In the delusional view of leftist ideologues, good parents and stable families have no right to support their offspring's education. Their children must be prevented from unfairly getting any educational advantages over other students from "disadvantaged" households. However, parents who are derelict in their duties and fail to educate their children will be protected and rewarded by the state.
Life is inherently unfair and there is nothing anyone can do to change that. What's next, lobotomies for anyone with a greater than average IQ? Restraints for people who are athletically gifted? Where does it end?

At any rate, the entire premise of lowering standards for equality of outcome is 180 degrees out of phase. We should be encouraging everyone to attain as high a standard as they can with full knowledge that some will always exceed others - and that's OK.

Who doesn't enjoy seeing the truly talented perform, whatever the talent? You know when you see it and you appreciate it for the gift that it is and all the hard work that went into developing that gift. It blesses everyone, instead of cursing everyone as socialism does.

Bullied by Government

Teen Gets Bullied During TV Interview About...Bullying
Just one week before the media came to interview the boy, he was suspended from school for three days. The harsh action was taken after Deener fought back against a student who was harassing him during a separate incident.
This is one of the reasons for school shootings, I'm sure of it. The kid is being bullied, he's supposed to tell a teacher. He does. The teacher does nothing. The kid continues to be bullied. The kid fights back, teacher suspends the kid for fighting. Kid comes back and continues to be bullied. Teachers do nothing.

Here in Florida we've had a couple of cases of parents getting on the school bus to confront the bullies. How can you blame them when this goes on. Not only does the good kid get bullied, he gets punished by the school as well. That's got to do wonders for a child's psyche.

That's also the way the criminal justice system works now, especially in liberal cities.

Whatever You Do,

Avoid socialism
"America's wealth comes from the efforts of people striving for success. Take away their incentive with badmouthing success and you take away the wealth that helps us take care of the needy,"
"I grew up in a socialist country and I have seen what that does to people. There is no hope, no freedom, no pride in achievement, The nation became poorer and poorer, and that's what I see happening here."
The proof is out there, there is historical record. Venezuela is going down the rat hole as we speak and Europe is nearing the end of another failure cycle. Failure is the inevitable result of socialism.

The Real Secret

Dreams From My Real Father is now available to stream on Netflix. I urge you to watch it, it puts all the puzzle pieces we have learned of Obama's life together into a cohesive and clear picture of the true Obama.

Hey, if you're a Marxist and you want that for America, go ahead and vote Obama. But if not, you owe it to yourself and your country to know the truth and not be fooled into voting for something you don't want. Don't take this lightly, they don't.

Jim Wallis is Wrong.

Lib Pastor Jim Wallis Accuses Conservative of ‘Hatred’ & Begs Her to ‘Stop Talking’ During On-Air Clash Over Anti-Jihad Subway Ad

If Jim Wallis is correct, then any ad or anyone who stands up against child abuse, spousal abuse, drug abuse, theft, kidnapping, the slave/sex trade, murder, rape, or pedifiles is using hateful language and they better stop talking. Calling someone out on a lie? Hateful language. Telling the truth is hateful language.

The Bible does not teach us we must roll over and die in the face of evil. If the bad man puts a knife to the throat of your beautiful little baby and you shoot him before he can do any harm, YOU DID NOTHING WRONG.

On the other hand, if you see a growing evil - pick one, oh, I don't know, say this one - and everyone (EVERYONE - including the police, the government) just ignores the problem because they don't want to get involved or be accused of hatred or racism, THAT IS WRONG. It's not going to get any better. It's not going to go away. They are not going to feel sorry for you or have mercy on you when they get to your house.

Love your neighbor as yourself. So what do you do if your neighbor on the left puts a gun to the head of your neighbor on the right, intending to kill him? I guess, if you misunderstand the scriptures like Jim Wallis does, you go to Walmart.

Holder Lied, Mexicans Died!
So the Left’s it's-different-when-we-do-it card applies not just to unmanned drones on Waziristani villagers, but Mexican adolescents gunned down at a birthday party. The coolest president ever is doing a photo-op with Beyonce!

This is Crazy

A man armed with a plastic gun attacked Czech President Vaclav Klaus on Friday, firing plastic pellets at him at close range while his bodyguards just stood by.
Not only stood by while it happened, but did nothing at all afterward. The guy just walked away and did TV interviews. I think some bodyguards just lost their jobs. They show the gun at the end of the piece, it looks real, it's a CZ P07 replica, there's no way you can tell it's not a real gun if it was pulled on you quickly. The Czech president is one of the good guys.

Power Currupts...

A convicted TSA security officer says he was part of a "culture" of indifference that allowed corrupt employees to prey on passengers' luggage and personal belongings with impunity, thanks to lax oversight and tip-offs from TSA colleagues.
I think it's gone a little beyond indifference. America is coming down with the culture of corruption that plagues the Third World, it's not quite there yet but the snowball is rolling down the hill.

Americans Still Send Their Kids to Government Schools?

American High School Band Marches with Hammer & Sickle
A Pennsylvania high school marching band is raising eyebrows with a halftime performance that commemorates the Russian revolution, complete with red flags, olive military-style uniforms, and giant hammers and sickles.
What's next? Swastikas and jack boots? Not a lot of difference between the two, both killed multi-millions of people. Yet what the the hammer and sickle stand for is glorified by the left. Go figure. What kind of people are educating our children?

A call to return.

Also read The Harbinger: The ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future by Jonathan Cahn

It is written in the form of a story rather than strictly informational - not my preference, but it works. Read how Isaiah 9:10 came to life in modern times, and it is factual, you can look up each point for yourself. There is no stretch required to fit the prophecy, it cannot be denied. Ignored is another story.

Nation of Whiners

How Whining Grows Government
When politicians hear us complain about our problems, they try to solve them. Just look at our massive, bloated government and our ginormous national debt — that was all built by complaining. People whined about stuff, and some politicians overheard and were like, "I bet I can solve this problem and be super popular! And I know the perfect solution: a new massive bureaucracy that costs billions of dollars!" And, of course, the only thing a massive government bureaucracy has ever solved is the problem of Americans having too much time and money.
Not to mention there is also truth in the 'power of positive thinking' and it works even better in reverse, negative thinking causes negative outcomes. In fact, beyond thinking, positive or negative talking brings an even stronger response.

Quote of the Day

"I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe . . . Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing. Make them intelligent, and they will be vigilant; give them the means of detecting the wrong, and they will apply the remedy."

Safety Net, or Trap

Somewhere on the way to 50% of the population on the public dole, it ceases to be a safety net and becomes a trap, a way of life, a government boot on the neck of the people.

Depending on Dependency
"The theme that most seemed to rouse the enthusiasm of delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte was that we are all responsible for one another — and that Republicans don't want to help the poor, the sick and the helpless. All of us should be on guard against beliefs that flatter ourselves. At the very least, we should check such beliefs against facts. Yet the notion that people who prefer economic decisions to be made by individuals in the market are not as compassionate as people who prefer those decisions to be made collectively by politicians is seldom even thought of as a belief that should be checked against facts."

"Helping those who have been struck by unforeseeable misfortunes is fundamentally different from making dependency a way of life. Although the big word on the left is 'compassion,' the big agenda on the left is dependency. The more people who are dependent on government handouts, the more votes the left can depend on for an ever-expanding welfare state."
God brought Israel, mostly kicking and screaming, out of Egypt, out of an oppressive government, to freedom. Our Founding Fathers wanted to recreate that same freedom for America as much as possible and it is unique in the world and to be highly prized, and yet... Why do people always want to go back?????

People want to be free but they don't want other people to be free.

Evolution Answers Life's Deepest Questions?

Richard Dawkins Echoes Bill Nye: 'Who Cares About Creationists' & Their 'Deep, Profound Ignorance'
You can’t even begin to understand biology, you can’t understand life, unless you understand what it's all there for, how it arose – and that means evolution.

I think it needs serious attention, that children should be taught where they come from, what life is all about, how it started, why it's there, why there's such diversity of it, why it looks designed. These are all things that can easily be explained to a pretty young child.
Well, explain it to me, because I don't see those answers in evolution, they are not there. Clearly, you are being disingenuous to say evolution answers those questions. Science is a wonderful tool, and is in no way incompatible with a God created universe when used honestly. Science helps us to understand the world we live in, and that's wonderful. Just don't try to tell me it answers those big questions. Say, "We hope it will someday," or "This is my opinion," but don't lie about it. The fact is, the more science answers our questions, the more it gives us to be answered.

The 'Progressive' Spirit Is Not New

And they said, No, but we will have a king over us.

And we shall be, also we, like all the nations, so that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.
--1 Samuel 8:19-20
We Belong to the Government
This is the philosophy of the Democratic Party. This is the way the hierarchy of the party thinks. Democrats really believe in government – the bigger the better.

But, more importantly, they believe the people are subjects of government. The government doesn’t belong to the people, rather we belong to the government.

This, of course, is quite at odds with the kind of government our Founding Fathers conceived for America – a government, as Abraham Lincoln explained, “of the people, by the people and for the people.” In America, from the very beginning, the difference would be that we don’t belong to the government, it belongs to us.

Democrats don’t get that concept. They want America to renounce its unique experiment in liberty and go the way of the rest of the world.

I Hope You Never Need One...

But when you do need a gun, it sure is nice to have one available. Mother with shotgun saves her daughter from kidnapping.
The man threw the woman to the floor but she continued to fight him as he struck and kicked her. He then grabbed the 2-year-old and tried to get to his car.

The woman then got the shotgun and ordered the man to release her daughter. The suspect dropped the child and then drove south on Maple Avenue.

Government Waste

Gun ID legislation may trigger exodus of gunmakers Remington, Colt
Microstamping, or ballistic imprinting, is a patented process that uses laser technology to engrave a tiny marking of the make, model and serial number on the tip of a gun’s firing pin to allow an imprint of that information on spent cartridge cases. Supporters of the technology say it will be a "game changer," allowing authorities to quickly identify the registered guns used in crimes. Opponents claim the process is costly, unreliable and may ultimately impact the local economies that heavily depend on the gun industry, including Ilion, N.Y., where Remington Arms maintains a factory, and Hartford, Conn., where Colt's manufacturing is headquartered.
First of all, Remington and Colt should have moved out of those states a long time ago, what they're still doing there, I don't know.

Second, did they ever stop to think that right after they implement their "game changer" technology, criminals would just sand off the tip of the firing pin or install a different pin? Criminals can say, "game changer," too. They already sand off the serial numbers or just use a stolen gun.

Third, this is a complete waste of time and money.

Criminals - political or street - don't want citizens to have guns. Why? Because people with guns can fight back. Why do you think the mafia stronghold of the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area is one big gun-free zone? Chicago, too. Think about it.

He's Still the Best in My Book

USADA to Strip Lance Armstrong of 7 Tour de France Titles, Ban Him For Life
Armstrong, who retired last year, declined to enter USADA's arbitration process – his last option – because he said he was weary of fighting accusations that have dogged him for years. He has consistently pointed to the hundreds of drug tests that he has passed as proof of his innocence during his extraordinary run of Tour titles stretching from 1999-2005.

"There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now," Armstrong said in a statement sent to The Associated Press. He called the USADA investigation an "unconstitutional witch hunt."

"I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999," he said. "The toll this has taken on my family and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense."
They've been after Lance Armstrong for years and have found no proof of their allegations and yet they just keep going after him year after year. I don't blame him at all for his decision.

It seems like someone at the USADA has a personal vendetta against Armstrong. He has probably been tested more than anyone else and all tests have been negative. Leave him alone already. My guess is the USADA is populated by liberals. That is not a joke.

Managing the World...

Somebody has to do it.

Bill Gates and Microsoft have long had the reputation of 'evil' capitalist, while Steve Jobs and Apple have been the darling of the left for as long. The funny thing is, it seems the opposite is closer to the truth. Steve Jobs was more the capitalist, while Bill Gates has his hands and money in the leftist ideals of big government managing population growth and CO2 emissions. He wants to bring CO2 emissions to zero. Yes, zero. But in the following quote he is talking about population control.
Discussing the "P," or population portion of the equation, he stated, "Let's take a look. First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent"
I guess I'm a bit naive, but I always thought the purpose of vaccines, health care, and reproductive services were to help people live long, healthy lives. No? Didn't you think that? Kind of makes you think of Obamacare in a different light, doesn't it?
The entire world will beg to bow before me, their charismatic despot. --The Brain

FBI Getting to the Bottom of a Priority Case

FBI Investigates GOP Members Over Israel Skinny Dip Mishap
During a 2011 fact-finding trip to Israel, a contingent of GOP freshmen lawmakers and "top leadership staff" allegedly had a few drinks and went for a late night swim in the Sea of Galilee.

And, yes, the FBI interviewed those involved over reports that they might have engaged in "inappropriate behavior."

About 20 people took part in the swim (most of them clothed or partially disrobed) and Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) actually took off his all his clothes, according to POLITICO.
They are investigating the crime of skinny dipping in the Sea of Galilee while Republican. Because, if Obama had done this thought of doing this, don't you think it would be a chapter in one of his autobiographies? And everybody would be gushing about how cool he was?

Putting the Cart Before the Horse

Atheists claim Ground Zero cross sickens them
A lawsuit that challenges the placement of the cross at the site of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center alleges atheist plaintiffs have suffered serious physical and mental illness because the religious symbol has made them feel excluded.
No, no, no. They feel excluded because they suffer serious physical and mental illness. There's a difference.

I consider myself a Christian, for lack of a better name - I follow Jesus, although I personally prefer to use the name Yeshua for reasons I won't go into here. But I don't quibble, I use both. The point is, I don't use the cross. I don't believe we should be making or using crosses. I don't think it's biblical to use it as a symbol, it's something people have added. I don't bother other people with my belief, it's just a personal thing for me. If you like it, more power to you.

Now, if I go somewhere and see a cross, it doesn't offend me. I don't become physically or mentally ill. I don't care where I see it, same effect. Nothing. If I see a Jewish Star of David, that also has no effect on me. Even if I see a Muslim crescent, which if anyone's religion offends me it's that one, it also has no physical or mental effect. I just go about my life. The little Darwin fish thingy doesn't make me sick either.

If any of these symbols seem to effect you physically or mentally, may I suggest you get some help because you seem to need it. It may not be a full-blown mental illness, but something is unbalanced in your brain.

The above does not say all atheists are mentally ill. It also does not say only atheists are mentally ill. It does say, "People, get a grip."

Cows Eating Candy?

What could go wrong?

Cows eating candy during the drought
His 1,400 cattle are no longer feeding off corn. The prices, Watson says, are too high to keep corn in stock. So earlier this year, he began to buy second-hand candy.
Corn prices are too high, of course, because the government in its infinite wisdom has decided that we are required to put ethanol in our gasoline. Ethanol is made mostly from corn. The government subsidizes this because no one actually wants ethanol in their gasoline as it reduces gas mileage and can damage the engine. No one wants to pay the ever higher prices for food that this is contributing to, either. Some can't.

Bonus points for more people on food stamps. Double bonus points for more sickly people (because our food is eating candy) who can't afford health care and must bend the knee to government for help.

Does anyone who voted for Obama see how government intervention in the private market causes EVERYTHING to cost more? People have to pay more for their personal needs and also pay more taxes because the government has to pay for the subsidies and take on the ever increasing numbers of people who just can't afford to live anymore.

Lying in Jesus' Name

Because suddenly the atheist*, baby killing, money grubbing, elitist liars want you to believe they are for wealth redistribution because Jesus wants us to help the poor. I'm sorry, but where are all the poor people that have been helped by all the trillions of dollars that have been stolen from the American people and given to special interests of the Obama administration? Do I hear crickets? How are all these poor people being helped by tripling gas and electricity prices? Or losing their jobs because coal is not politically correct? Or dwindling donations to charity because people just can't afford to give anymore? How exactly are poor people being helped by the 'progressives' running the country into the ground? By adding to their number because misery loves company?

Funny how the politicians don't seem to have any problem accumulating wealth. How does that happen?
Stop ignorantly using Jesus to justify confiscation by a soulless government. It's very offensive to my religion. Frank J

The Truth Shall Set You Free
God does not want you to be manipulated by political or religious leaders. If there is one thing that ticked Jesus off, it was that very thing as practiced by the Sadducees and Pharisees. Freedom is a precious thing that propaganda will jeopardize. Jesus knew what he meant when he said the truth will set you free.
*No offense to atheists, by Marxist leaning governments are traditionally atheist and doing it in the name of Jesus is a new lie they have come up with.

Wait. What?

$100K Karma Hybrid Reportedly 'Bursts Into Flames' in CA Parking Lot
A Fisker Karma driver from Woodside, California parked his hybrid at the grocery store... and after grabbing the items he needed, returned to the parking lot to find that his vehicle was on fire.

He walks out of the store, sees his car on fire, and immediately calls... the manufacturer?

Where's the Outrage?

I guess when the price of electricity triples the American people will finally notice. Why wait? We know what is happening now. CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, New York Times won't touch this story. No mainstream media outlet is covering this.

Who is the Job Destroyer?

Why isn't Romney using the coal industry as an example of Obama destroying jobs? Where are the Republicans on this? It's like they are relying on people voting against Obama and just trying to keep quiet until it's over. Sometimes you have to get aggressive. The Democrats treat this like war, and they do and say anything regardless of truth or legality. Republicans treat it like it's in God's hands, but God won't do anything for you if you don't do anything for yourself. Get up and take a stand. Republicans have no idea how to use the media. This election shouldn't even be close, there should be no contest. Look at Chris Christie, I don't agree with him on everything (like gun control) but he knows how to work the system and get things done.

Allen West Sends Chick-Fil-A To Black Caucus Meeting And Offends Everyone, Says Dem Rep

They didn't know they were supposed to be offended by Chic-Fil-A 6 months ago but, in retrospect, that was offensive. When I first saw this article I thought it had just happened. Nope.
Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) told The Huffington Post that the incident happened about six months ago but is now fresh in his mind given West's recent comments in support of the fast food chain,
Then I thought, maybe they are saying it was offensive because it was fried chicken. Nope.
"We have fried chicken. And we have catfish and BBQ. We do not have watermelon, although sometimes people will have fruit. We serve a full course meal with collard greens. We have Jamaican beans and rice," Hastings said. But West "sent Chick-fil-A with biscuits. Ok?"
OK!! I want to wake up tomorrow in a sane world, please. Or at least a sane United States.

P.S. I would vote for Allen West in a heartbeat.

Behold your King!

Mocking Jesus
Given the notion of the three figures–with Jesus’ disciples asking about sitting at his "right and left hand" in his glorious kingdom, isn't it likely that the Romans intended the two others crucified with Jesus, one on the right, the other on the left, to be a way of mocking him as "King of the Jews"?
Who really knows what they were thinking when they did this or how much they knew of what transpired with His disciples, but they are still mocking today, aren't they? They like mocking.

There Must Be Something Wrong With Me

I can't get that excited about anything.

I'm Missing Something Here

Lifeguard gets bill after ocean rescue
Seventeen-year-old John Clark, a senior at Hudson's Bay, says he didn't think twice about running into the ocean to save a drowning 12-year-old.

But what he hasn't stopped thinking about, is the bill he received as a result of his effort.

The emergency room bill came to $449. The physician's bill was $227. The 15-mile ride in the ambulance to Tillamook: $1,907. The total bill for saving a young man's life? Nearly $2,600.
I'm missing the part about where it is the responsibility of John Clark to pay the medical bills of a 12-year old that he saved from drowning. It is not his child. Why is it not the responsibility of the parents to pay it? John may not have thought twice about saving that kid but if it happens again he sure will.

Government Sponsored Crime

Truck 793 - Built by the Obama DEA
The Houston Chronicle recently reported a noteworthy story. The story is noteworthy solely as a rare act of journalistic practice (the full article is well researched and a good read) but also as just another prominent example of imprudence, incompetence and subsequent denial at the federal level. Although this case involves the DEA, it shares the same brutish Fast and Furious/Gibson Guitar/drilling moratorium genetic defects that are so common to all Obama agency actions.
You have to read the whole thing but basically, the DEA used a business owners truck without his knowledge or consent for illegal activity resulting in a dead driver, damaged truck and a business owner left holding the bag - unable to collect insurance or get reimbursement from the government for the damage to his business.

This is becoming old-hat for this administration and most people will never hear of these things because it's being ignored by the mainstream media. This is outrageous. I feel like I'm living in Bizarro America. If the mafia had taken over our government and was in charge of everything, how would it be any different than what we have under the Obama administration?

Cho said it took police 30 minutes to reach his store after the 911 call went out about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.
What if mobs start going beyond shoplifting? This is a very dangerous situation and I don't believe law enforcement is taking it serious enough. If they continue to get away with this behavior it will get worse.

Mark Stein points out the utter hypocrisy of the mayor of Boston and Chicago wanting to deny Chick-fil-A business permits because of the opinion of one of the owners while falling all over themselves to accommodate Muslims who's opinions are off the scale worse: Don't cross the forces of tolerance
The mayor couldn't have been more accommodating (including giving them $1.8 million of municipal land) of the new mosque of the Islamic Society of Boston, whose IRS returns listed as one of their seven trustees Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Like President Obama, Imam Qaradawi's position on gays is in a state of "evolution": He can't decide whether to burn them or toss 'em off a cliff. "Some say we should throw them from a high place," he told Al-Jazeera. "Some say we should burn them, and so on. There is disagreement ... . The important thing is to treat this act as a crime." Unlike the deplorable Mr. Cathy, Imam Qaradawi is admirably open-minded: There are so many ways to kill homosexuals, why restrict yourself to just one? In Mayor Menino's Boston, if you take the same view of marriage as President Obama did from 2009 to 2012, he'll run your homophobic ass out of town. But, if you want to toss those godless sodomites off the John Hancock Tower, he'll officiate at your ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Liars Lie, That's What They Do

Immigrants don’t have to prove they meet DREAM Act criteria to avoid charges, ICE union chief says
Under the new orders, however, illegals can escape federal charges simply by claiming — whether it's the truth or not — that they meet the DREAM Act rule's requirements issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Crane did not specify who has given his officers these new orders.

The new directive would contradict Homeland Security's own words in announcing the policy, which said that "only those individuals who can prove through verifiable documentation that they meet these criteria will be eligible for deferred action."
The entire Obama administration is a lie from top to bottom.

America Demolition Act

You're not even going to believe this.
Do you remember that thing about how the banks wouldn't lend to blacks and Hispanics because they were racists? And do you remember how they passed the Community Reinvestment Act so that banks were forced to reduce down payments practically to zero and lend to a lot of people they knew were bad credit risks? And do you remember how Wall Street bundled all these risky subprime mortgages and sold them to investors around the world so that when it became clear that those people weren't going to be able to pay their mortgages banks everywhere were left holding the bag and all five of the Wall Street investment houses either went under or had to be bailed out by the federal government?

And do you remember how, when it was all over, liberals said it was actually the banks' fault for "deceiving" all those people into thinking they could afford to buy homes and that the banks should be punished for it and some of those people be allowed to keep their homes anyway? And do you remember how all this cost the government close to a trillion dollars and put the whole economy in a hole that we really haven't begun to dig ourselves out of yet?

Well, get ready because the whole thing is about to happen again.
How can this be anything but deliberate sabotage of our economy?

They Don't Need No Stinkin' Guns

This was an interesting read: Going Postal, Pre-Pistol
Guns aren't even the most lethal mass murder weapon. According to data compiled by Grant Duwe of the Minnesota Department of Corrections, guns killed an average of 4.92 victims per mass murder in the United States during the 20th century, just edging out knives, blunt objects, and bare hands, which killed 4.52 people per incident. Fire killed 6.82 people per mass murder, while explosives far outpaced the other options at 20.82. Of the 25 deadliest mass murders in the 20th century, only 52 percent involved guns.

What Does That Even Mean?

Pelosi: Republican Jews Are Being ‘Exploited’ as an Excuse for ‘Tax Cuts for the Wealthy’
HUNT: Do you think he’ll do as well with the Jewish vote this time as he did last time?

PELOSI: The election will tell us that.

HUNT: What do you think?

PELOSI: But I – I think that he will. I think that he will, because the fact is when the facts get out. You know, as many of the Republicans are using Israel as an excuse, what they really want are tax cuts for the wealthy. So Israel, that can be one reason they put forth.
What? That's not even a coherent thought, it's gibberish.
If the Prez decides he wants to explore deep space, he can look into Pelosi's eardrum. --Dennis Miller

One for the Good Guys

Gun carrying man ends stabbing spree at Salt Lake grocery store
A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith's store.

...the knife wielding man seriously injured two people. "There is blood all over. One got stabbed in the stomach and got stabbed in the head and held his hands and got stabbed all over the arms."

Then, before the suspect could find another victim - a citizen with a gun stopped the madness. "A guy pulled gun on him and told him to drop his weapon or he would shoot him. So, he dropped his weapon and the people from Smith's grabbed him."
Thank God he was not prohibited from carrying in that store.
By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and shoppers. Police had high praise for gun carrying man who ended the hysteria. Lt. Brian Purvis said, "This was a volatile situation that could have gotten worse. We can only assume from what we saw it could have gotten worse. He was definitely in the right place at the right time."

Dozens of other shoppers, who too could have become victims, are also thankful for the gun carrying man.
This is how you do it. Thank you, whoever you are.

Wow.

Just wow. Shouting 'Fire!' at the Policemen's Ball
In Britain, if a member of the public essays a mild jest about bombs or terrorism to the authorities, he faces seven years in jail. But, if a Muslim police officer does it in Dorset, where Olympic events are being held and where the constabulary is stretched to the limit by the biggest security operation in years, it just shows what a great sense of humor the guy has...
The mental gymnastics liberals must do everyday to keep a straight face. There are no words.

Control Freaks & Tyrants

"After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it."

-- William S. Burroughs
And never would.

Obama calls for strengthening gun rules, Reid says no time for debate

Because it's not already against the law to kill someone? This is not about saving lives, if it were they would be doing something about cars and trucks.

There is nothing to debate, the truth is on the side of gun owners - guns are tools, life saving in the hands of good people - which are the VAST majority - and tragically lethal in the hands of criminals. As are knives, cars, power tools, axes, saws, bats, clubs, fire, explosives, the list is endless. You can't ban everything! And laws against guns only effect the honest. Criminals by definition do not obey laws. Gun laws make the honest more vulnerable. "Gun Free" zones are killing fields - there is no one to stop the madman.

We Know

"Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values."

Oh, how we know. So now, if you have Biblical values the government has it's foot to your throat. That's constitutional - Chicago style. Notice it is not because the company discriminates in any way toward employees or customers, it is merely because of what the owners believe. And that's yet another reason Obama and his Chicago thug rule will be out of a job soon.

And another thing. Chicago's thug values are not America's values. Thank God.

Say It Ain't So

Syria has chemical weapons
"All of these types of weapons are in storage and under security and the direct supervision of the Syrian armed forces and will never be used unless Syria is exposed to external aggression," he said.

The Syrian regime is believed to be in possession of large stockpiles of sarin, other nerve agents, and mustard gas.
Gee, I wonder where they came from? Couldn't have been Iraq, right? They never had weapons of mass destruction, did they? I heard on the news that ole' George Bush lied about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. It must be true.

Aurora, Colorado

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the horrific murders in Colorado. Things like this shouldn't happen and I hate that they do. If more law-abiding, able bodied people would carry guns, situations like this would end very differently. The good guys of our society have been brain-washed to cower and die while waiting for help that comes too late. The guy in the video below made some good points regarding this.

The Race?

Remember how shocked you were when they started calling George Zimmerman a white Hispanic? Where did that come from?

Whenever you filled out a government form Hispanic was always a race - white, black, Hispanic. I always thought that was strange because Hispanics come in every shade from black to white and everything in between. The separating factor of Hispanics seemed to me to be language and culture, not race. But, the government always said race, so race it was. Until Zimmerman anyway. What happened there?

So I happened to be watching the following video on YouTube. It seems that the government - the ATF, at least - has changed the way they break down races earlier this year. Now everybody picks a race, then indicates whether Hispanic or not separately. @5:35 in the video.

The Zimmerman/Trayvon incident happened on Feb. 26, 2012. The ATF form is dated April 2012. The gentleman in the video said they decided to change the format on Jan. 9, 2012 (@4:57). I don't know where that information comes from, though.

I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here, it just seems weird that the people accusing Zimmerman of being a racist murderer were very tuned in to a change that was in the works but hadn't actually happened yet while most Americans were looking at each other saying, "Where did that come from?"

Stand Your Ground: The Truth

There is so much ignorance concerning this law. For those seeking clarity and insight, Massad Ayoob, with decades of experience on the subject, explains in plain language what it's all about and when it applies.
