Sandy Cuts Wide Swath of Damage
I've been looking at photos of the devastation at the Jersey shore - I grew up there, so it's what most interested me- and I have to say it is beyond belief. The Jersey shore is no stranger to storm damage but it really looks like all the stars aligned for Sandy. Thank God the loss of life was minimal.
And I don't want to make light of anyone's pain or suffering but this one sentence taken from the linked article above belongs in the "there's always one" category:
On Long Island, a man lit a firework that he mistook for a candle, and blew his hand off, police say.Was his name Curly Howard?
