Obama camp cites Pentagon in scrapping troop visit
"Obama would have faced criticism if the trip had taken place."
Is that the kind of leader he is? He decides what to do on the basis of whether or not he would be criticized? A strong leader does the right thing regardless of criticism. And he would not have been criticized if he visited the troops privately, sincerely and without fanfare, except perhaps by some of his own military hating supporters.
The right thing to do is the right thing to do and he chose wrong - again.
