Lessons Learned

From Forty Summers in the Word by Lenny Cacchio

*If there is a God, I want to know what he has to say.

*If there is no God, then nothing anyone says or does will matter.

*What the Bible says and what people say it says are two different things. Read it for yourself and learn the difference.

*The Bible has all the basic principles of a successful life.

*We are all free moral agents. Therefore I cannot impose my religion on others.

*The Bible is the foundation of all knowledge, but it is not all knowledge. Read widely. Learn from those smarter than you.

*Your god is what you think about most of the time.

*We have two major political parties in this country: the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
