A "Christian" Nation

Shining Light in Darkness

What do we mean when we say that America is a "Christian" nation? People hear these words and start backpedaling. "Oh, you can't impose your religious views on others," they say, and immediately tune us out. But what if we were to say that being a Christian nation is more about the foundational basis for law and action, and not the attempt to set up a theocracy where the state steps in and compels religious belief?

Being a Christian nation is more about the heart and character of the people having a foundational biblical basis, those attributes that build societies based on freedom and justice, those characteristics that build schools and hospitals.
