Insanity Sweeping Across the Globe, Hits Germany Hard

I'm thinking this has to be a joke but as far as I can tell, it is real.

Germany plans to give vote to babies

The bill, which has won the cross-party backing of some heavyweight German politicians, would wipe away decades of "exclusion" and "discrimination" against minors, according to its supporters.

Still, this has got to be a joke or just something Germany's version of Dennis Kucinich dreamed up. It can't have a chance of passing.

If the bill gets adopted, babies will have the same powers to voice their opinion on government handling of macro-economic performance in a global downturn enjoyed by their parents.

Toddlers will be able to take a stand on issues such as whether German armed forces should be deployed abroad.

Should I take solace in the fact that it won't pass - this time?
