We Found It

We found the $5.00 James lost the other day. It was in the bottom drawer in the kitchen where we keep light bulbs and other assorted junk. I did open the drawer that day to get the glue gun and I was plugging it in when this started. I knew it would show up.

The Temple

I think most people are aware that the Jews want to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. Well, maybe not, it isn't a hot topic that's for sure, but it must be rebuilt before the Messiah can come. They already have two (at least) cornerstones.

I just learned that they are building a full size replica of the Temple near the Dead Sea.

"Covering an area of 25,000 square meters (269,000 square feet), it will function as a training site to prepare priests (kohanim) for service in the Third Temple in Jerusalem."

They are building it to prepare to restore the priestly service in the Temple.

"Among the Biblically mandated tasks of the priests are offering sacrifices, inquiring of God concerning His will, handing down judicial and ritual rulings, accompanying the holy Ark, and teaching the Divine commandments to the people. The regulations for the sanctified work of the Temple priests were codified in rabbinical writings many years ago. “A man who wants to serve as a priest in the Temple must be extremely responsible,” explained Rabbi Kreuser. “It is not a job for everyone. The Temple priests are the ambassadors of the Almighty on earth.”

I'm not sure why they don't offer sacrifices now, maybe because it's such an elaborate and bloody ritual.

At any rate they are very serious about rebuilding this Temple and I don't think I have to tell you what the Arabs will think of it. Another bloody day of rage after another. How is it possible for anyone to hate so much, let alone an entire people? Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I have since found a web site for the replica itself and it is already built if it is the same one. Take a look at the pictures of the furnishings, very beautiful and fascinating to see the words of the Bible come alive. It is not a replica of the Temple in Jerusalem as I thought, it is a replica of the portable Temple the Israelites used while wandering the desert for 40 years.

The original article I saw says the replica is of the Third Temple so these two may not be the same. Perhaps they are also building the Third Temple replica near the temporary one. I plan to find out.
