This Is Incredible!

I still can't believe what I'm reading. Well, I do believe it, I just can't believe it was written by the Catholic Church.

Over one hundred years ago the Catholic Mirror ran a series of articles discussing the right of the Protestant churches to worship on Sunday. The articles stressed that unless one was willing to accept the authority of the Catholic Church to designate the day of worship, the Christian should observe Saturday.

What a completely thorough examination of the subject!

The Christian world is, morally speaking, united on the question and practice of worshiping God on the first day of the week.

How true.

The Israelite respects the authority of the Old Testament only, but the Adventist, who is a Christian, accepts the New Testament on the same ground as the Old: viz., an inspired record also. He finds that the Bible, his teacher, is consistent in both parts, that the Redeemer, during His mortal life, never kept any other day than Saturday. The Gospels plainly evidence to him this fact; whilst, in the pages of the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles, and the Apocalypse, not the vestige of an act canceling the Saturday arrangement can be found.

The article goes on to prove, irrefutably, that the seventh day Sabbath is the one and only Sabbath day ordained by God and known by everyone in the Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. Period. Jesus kept the seventh day Sabbath, so did the Apostles, and the seventh day Sabbath was "an everlasting covenant" (Exodus 31:16), "and a perpetual sign," (verse 17). It goes on.

The Bible and the Sabbath constitute the watchword of Protestantism; but we have demonstrated that it is the Bible against their Sabbath. We have shown that no greater contradiction ever existed than their theory and practice. We have proved that neither their Biblical ancestors nor themselves have ever kept one Sabbath day in their lives.

The Israelites and Seventh-day Adventists are witnesses of their weekly desecration of the day named by God so repeatedly, and whilst they have ignored and condemned their teacher, the Bible, they have adopted a day kept by the Catholic Church. What Protestant can, after perusing these articles, with a clear conscience, continue to disobey the command of God, enjoining Saturday to be kept, which command his teacher, the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, records as the will of God?

This article really pounds Protestants with this issue. This is the Bruce Lee of articles.

The Catholic Church for over one thousand years before the existence of a Protestant, by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday. We say by virtue of her divine mission, because He who called Himself the "Lord of the Sabbath," endowed her with His own power to teach, "he that heareth you, heareth Me;" commanded all who believe in Him to hear her, under penalty of being placed with "heathen and publican;" and promised to be with her to the end of the world. She holds her charter as teacher from Him — a charter as infallible as perpetual. The Protestant world at its birth found the Christian Sabbath too strongly entrenched to run counter to its existence; it was therefore placed under the necessity of acquiescing in the arrangement, thus implying the Church's right to change the day, for over three hundred years. The Christian Sabbath is therefore to this day, the acknowledged offspring of the Catholic Church as spouse of the Holy Ghost, without a word of remonstrance from the Protestant world.

POW!

Let us now, however, take a glance at our second proposition, with the Bible alone as the teacher and guide in faith and morals. This teacher most emphatically forbids any change in the day for paramount reasons. The command calls for a "perpetual covenant." The day commanded to be kept by the teacher has never once been kept, thereby developing an apostasy from an assumedly fixed principle, as self-contradictory, self-stultifying, and consequently as suicidal as it is within the power of language to express.

Nor are the limits of demoralization yet reached. Far from it. Their pretense for leaving the bosom of the Catholic Church was for apostasy from the truth as taught in the written word. They adopted the written word as their sole teacher, which they had no sooner done than they abandoned it promptly, as these articles have abundantly proved; and by a perversity as willful as erroneous, they accept the teaching of the Catholic Church in direct opposition to the plain, unvaried, and constant teaching of their sole teacher in the most essential doctrine of their religion, thereby emphasizing the situation in what may be aptly designated "a mockery, a delusion, and a snare."

Ouch!

The Catholic church, by virtue of her divine mission, changed the Sabbath day from the seventh day to the first. They did this more than a thousand years before Martin Luther, so that puts it in, what, the 4th or 5th century AD, hundreds of years after Christ and the Apostles.

What a great find this article was. What a terrific last post of 2004!

I Know What You're Thinking

Can God Read You're Mind?

There are times when reading the Bible that what we think we know about God suddenly doesn't work.

Excellent, love the last line. How true is that?

Devastation

Anyone interested in donating to the Tsunami victims can find information at The Command Post and there is some information here and here as well.

The devastation is incredible and the pictures and stories coming out are mind numbing. This morning on Fox news I saw where a train carrying over a thousand people was just completely blown off the tracks and destroyed.

And then I read something like this: Sri Lanka rejects Israel rescuers. Help is help. This is not the time to pick and choose who you want to help you. I don't think anyone on that train or any one of the countless who lost everything care who helps them. Does this mean if an earthquake hit Israel, Sri Lanka wouldn't send anyone to help? It's enough to make you think if Israel is not good enough to help out, perhaps Americans shouldn't help either. Of course, we will help anyway (as we should).

It just goes to show how we are nothing compared to the incredible power and energy built into the physical world we live in, and that pales in comparison to what lies beyond our planetary boundaries. We are completely at it's mercy. And the One who created it all, who put all that energy into the elements is Mighty and Awesome beyond words. The obvious question of why would He let this happen CAN be answered.

Why Did God Let It Happen?

When God Shakes The Earth No, God did not cause this earthquake.

Because I want to know, and I hope others really want to know as well. I think it deserves an honest answer.

Earthquake

The earthquake in the Indian Ocean must have really been terrible to live through. The stories and pictures coming out of those areas are amazing. The first article I linked to includes the story of a reporter who was swimming when the tidal wave hit. Unreal.

An Italian scientist said the earthquake was so strong it even disturbed the rotation of the Earth and "the whole planet is vibrating." I wonder how it disturbed the rotation of the Earth? What does he mean by that? The Drudge Report is saying it "Moved the entire island of Sumatra about 100 feet toward the southwest." That's incredible.

Unfortunately, I think this will pale in comparison to what will be coming on this planet in the future.

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Isaiah 2:19

Without question, more of these quakes will be coming.

Last Christmas Post

Reason for the (Christmas) Season, Part 1

Reason for the (Christmas) Season, Part 2

Perhaps, even after all of this information about the origins of Christmas, you are still wondering if there is some way to keep a "Holy Christmas" in your heart. After all, you don't think of pagan gods when you participate. And the lights are so pretty. And the spirit of giving seems so right. Surely, God looks on the heart. Can't He be pleased with Christmas if our intentions are pure? Wouldn't Christ be happy if we want to have a special day to honor His birth? Since Scripture does not contain a date, wouldn't it be acceptable to use a date that is commonly recognized by others as His birthdate?

But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' Luke16:31

This is James and Crooked Nose. This is the ugliest bull but also one of the friendliest. You can walk right up to him and pet him, he especially likes it under the neck. I'm told he makes beautiful babies.

The dog in front is Boomer, I think, and the other dog is Copper. Copper is the Australian Cattle Dog my neighbor wants me to take. He was rolling around in the wet grass and dirt and needs a bath.

Don't Worry, Be Happy

The Imam continued with espousing his vision for the future of Germany. "Muslims must work quietly and steadily to bring about an Islamic Germany." The crowd went absolutely ballistic, when the "holy man" screamed that, "We must take advantage of this so-called democracy, to build our holy mosques and spread Islam throughout this satanic country." The "holy man" continued to illustrate the future for Infidels. "Allah will not tolerate a Europe of Infidels. Strike them with the sword of Allah's holy cause. Slay the unbelievers and idolaters wherever they may hide and plot against you, the believers. Allah will surely bless you."

From The Trouble With Hateful Holy Men

It continues ...

Where will it end? Today, we are witnessing the foundation of a soon to come re-establishment of the traditional GERMAN NATION. When the coming economic collapse arrives, the government will fall seemingly overnight. From the sidelines, a new leader will emerge. A powerful speaker with new ideas, new programs, for a NEW GERMANY. You say it can't happen again. Why the world would never allow Germany to once again threaten anyone with a renewed militarism, a renewed world power status. Why, the United Nations wouldn't stand for it! Oh really.

Here Doggie

My neighbor is a cowboy. He doesn't look like a cowboy, he is a cowboy. That's his job. He's got 4 working dogs, 2 are Australian Cattle Dogs, they are called heelers, and the other 2 are called headers, but I forget the breed. Heelers nip at the back legs of the cattle to get them to move and headers work the front and stop or control the cattle. It's incredible to see those dogs in action, they are so full of energy and obviously love what they do.

The other day he asked me if I would take one of the Australian Cattle Dogs. He said it's a really great dog (and it is) but it just doesn't have the heart to work like it should, it's just not earning it's keep. It doesn't effect it's pet potential at all, it's a super friendly dog and great with the kids, he just needs a dog that will work.

I wish I could say yes. Irma doesn't want to have to deal with the loss of another dog and my head is ruling my heart. I really can't afford to take on that responsibility right now. I really like this dog though. I really want James to grow up with a dog. James likes the dog too.

What to do, what to do?

No Habla Engles, Senior

Living in Florida and working at a hotel I get asked if I speak Spanish alot. Most of the time, though, the person will just start speaking to you in Spanish assuming you do too. This can be a little annoying because, last time I checked, Florida was still part of the United States and English the main language of the land. It's annoying because of the assumption, not because they don't speak English, although many times they do speak English - which is even more annoying.

The point is, tonight I got a very telling call from an Englishman. The first thing he asked? "Do you speak English?" I wasn't expecting that - I should have said, "Si!"

News Flash!

DOJ Memo: 2nd Amendment is Individual Right

"It changes the courts' view of the issue and it applies a stricter standard of scrutiny as to whether or not a given law does infringe on an individual's constitutional rights," Waldron said. "They have to look at it from a civil rights perspective now instead of just [whether] the individual violated a given law."

Glad they finally figured that out, must have been all those years in law school.

Origins of Christmas

I noticed La Shawn Barber's Kwanzaa Is for Pagans post and she's absolutely right - and very well spoken. I read her blog often.

I noticed up front that she is working on a Christmas-is-not-pagan post. There are alot of good feelings associated with Christmas. Some of the most beautiful music is centered around Christmas. The lights, the decorated trees, the food, the family gatherings - what could possibly be wrong with all that? Well, the fact is, and just a little research on the web or in an encyclopedia will confirm this, all the trappings of Christmas ARE of pagan origin. The true origins of these customs are really not in question.

Christians celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25, but the fact is, Jesus was not born on Dec. 25. From Origin of Christmas:

The date of December 25th probably originated with the ancient "birthday" of the son-god, Mithra, a pagan deity whose religious influence became widespread in the Roman Empire during the first few centuries A.D. Mithra was related to the Semitic sun-god, Shamash, and his worship spread throughout Asia to Europe where he was called Deus Sol Invictus Mithras. Rome was well-known for absorbing the pagan religions and rituals of its widespread empire. As such, Rome converted this pagan legacy to a celebration of the god, Saturn, and the rebirth of the sun god during the winter solstice period. The winter holiday became known as Saturnalia and began the week prior to December 25th. The festival was characterized by gift-giving, feasting, singing and downright debauchery, as the priests of Saturn carried wreaths of evergreen boughs in procession throughout the Roman temples.

So, Christians are using the "birthday" of a pagan god to celebrate the birth of Christ. Is God OK with that? Because, really, that's all that counts. The only real question is whether Christians should use those customs to celebrate or worship God.

take heed to yourself that you do not become snared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods that I too may do likewise?

You shall not do so to the LORD your God. For every abomination to the LORD, which He hates, they have done to their gods; even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods.

All the things I command you, be careful to do it. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it. Deuteronomy 12:30-32

Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed. Malachi 3:6

OK, but does the Bible have anything to say about Christmas? If you are truly seeking God and His will, not your own will, it would be of great benefit to read Jeremiah chapter 10.

So says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations, and do not be terrified at the signs of the heavens; for the nations are terrified at them.

For the customs of the people are vain; for one cuts a tree out of the forest with the axe, the work of the hands of the workman.

They adorn it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers, so that it will not wobble.

They are like a rounded post, and they cannot speak. They must surely be lifted, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them; for they cannot do evil nor good, for it is not in them.

There is none like You, O Jehovah; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

Who would not fear You, O King of nations? For fear belongs to You, because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like You.

But they are all at once foolish and animal-like; the tree is an example of vanities.

Silver beaten into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the goldsmith. Violet and purple is their clothing; they are all the work of skillful ones.

But Jehovah is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to stand His fury.

So you shall say to them, The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.

He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His judgment.

When He utters His voice, there is a noise of many waters in the heavens. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of His treasures.

Every man is stupid for lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the graven image; for his molten image is a lie, and no breath is in them.

They are vanity, the work of delusion; in the time of their judgment they shall perish.

The Portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Maker of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. Jehovah of Hosts is His name.

Gather up your bundle from the ground, you who live under the siege.

For so says Jehovah, Behold, I will sling out the people of the land at this time, and will distress them, so that they may find Me.

Woe to me for my breaking! My wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a malady, and I must bear it.

My tabernacle is ravaged, and all my cords are broken; My sons went away from me, and they are not. There is none to stretch out My tabernacle any more, and to set up My curtains.

For the pastors have become stupid, and have not sought Jehovah, therefore they shall not be blessed, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Behold, the noise of the rumor has come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a den of jackals.

O Jehovah, I know that the way of man does not belong to man; it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

O Jehovah, correct me, but with judgment; not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.

Pour out Your fury on the nations who do not know You, and on the families who do not call on Your name; for they have eaten up Jacob and have devoured him, and have destroyed him, and have made his dwelling desolate. Jeremiah 10:1-25

Don't believe me, believe your Bible. I can not change your mind about this, only God can do that.

Strive to enter in at the narrow gate. For I say to you, many will seek to enter in and shall not be able. Luke 13:24

Of those that SEEK to enter in - this is talking about Christians, those who look to Jesus Christ as their Savior - MANY will not be able. It says STRIVE (struggle, contend, fight) to enter the narrow gate. It is not talking about all those who do not call Jesus their Lord or who do not know Him. Continue reading verse 25 - 27:

And once the Master of the house has risen up and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us, and He shall answer and say to you, I do not know you; from where are you;

then you shall begin to say, We ate and drank in Your presence, and You have taught in our streets.

But He shall say, I tell you, I do not know you; from where you are. Depart from Me, all workers of unrighteousness! Luke13:25-27

And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

Whoever comes to Me and hears My Words, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like. Luke 6:46-47

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven.

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?

And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Matthew 7:21-23

This is not something to take lightly! It is not enough to "be saved" and go on about your life like nothing happened. Go and sin no more! Once saved is not always saved. Sorry. That's the way it is. That's what Jesus says. If you got a speeding ticket and you went before a judge and he pardoned you, does that mean you can go back out a speed again without consequence? I don't think so.

I think it is plain to anyone who really wants to obey God that Christmas is not only pagan in origin but an abomination to God. Don't lie to yourself, don't cheat yourself. There is alot at stake here, don't believe what men say. Don't take anyones word for it, STRIVE to enter the narrow gate.

I recommend all of them. Now, if you want to keep Christmas, go right ahead. Just don't think you are pleasing God in doing so. And as far as La Shawn's arguments against keeping Kwanza, the same arguments can be used against Christmas. They are both made up holidays - one recently, and one in the 3rd or 4th century AD.

O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.

Evilution Revisited

The emperor's new species

Really, you need to read the whole thing, it's good, but these two paragraphs describe the whole idea behind evolution.

So if you want to believe in evolution, please be my guest. But do so with your eyes open, knowing that evolution's most transcendent purpose is, and always has been, to enable you to walk outside and witness the majesties of nature but to no longer have to see God's handiwork, the undeniable evidence of His love. Instead, you get to see the product of eons of "evolution" – of which man is the prideful pinnacle. And lucky day –- you'll be happy to know that evolution also just happens to open up the door to free sexual expression, unfettered by the laws of a nameless and faceless God.

And so, in your evolutionary world, man is the creator of his own destiny. He can genetically engineer himself and his world, transplant body parts, clone animals and humans, fabricate artificial parts of all sorts, imbed subcutaneous microchips, and generally just transform his body and soul into a new creature. In him – Man – all things are made new. Man has become his own god – creating and recreating himself unto immortality.

And the following paragraphs are typical of the reaction of the scientific community.

I recently listened to a broadcast debate between biochemist Michael Behe, a champion of "intelligent design," and another scientist defending evolution. After Behe presented his compelling case relating to the irreducible complexity of living systems – that is, the impossibility of their having evolved incrementally, since all the intermediate stages prior to the finished system (say, like wings) wouldn’t function properly and therefore would work against survival through natural selection – the evolutionist scientist rebutted by saying, and this is a near-quote: "Without the education and scientific background to understand the formulas and algorithms that pertain to this subject, it is almost impossible for your listeners to understand how evolution works."

In other words: You people without advanced degrees are too ignorant to understand how evolution works, so you shouldn’t even try, but instead just believe us Ph.D. priests, I mean, scientists, on blind faith.

Impossible to understand because it's impossible to happen.

Abolished?

Which of the Ten Commandments Did Jesus Repeal?

Was there something wrong with the Ten Commandments? Were they weak legislation in the first place? Or did they somehow become obsolete with the passage of time? If, as some suppose, the time came for the Ten Commandments to be abolished, there must have been a reason for it. The idea of the abolition of law is not foreign to us. We "abolish" or repeal laws often enough. But when we do repeal laws, why do we do it? There are many reasons. The law may be unenforceable. It may be unpopular with the people, and because of massive disobedience ("They can't put all of us in jail"), the law simply can't be maintained. The classic example of this was prohibition.

On the other hand, we may repeal legislation because it has become obsolete. There may have been a time when it was a good idea to require a flag man to walk ahead of an automobile as it passed through a town, but not anymore. Changes in technology, changes in population density, economic trends, natural disasters, can all make good legislation turn sour.

We could point to dozens of examples, but there is still only one fundamental reason for the repeal of a law: It is not a good law. It was either (1) a bad law in the first place, or (2) it became a bad law in time.

For which of these reasons did Jesus repeal the Ten Commandments?

Can You Get Any Sicker Than This?

They killed a woman who was 8 months pregnant, cut the child out and stole it.

They found the people who did it and if you ask me, the rest of their VERY SHORT lives should be very painful. Sometimes, our justice system works against us. More often than not lately.

Several pregnant women have been killed in recent years by attackers who then removed their fetuses, in some cases to pass the children off as their own.

The punishment should be swift and permanent. Painful would be a bonus.

For The Birds

I took the kids fishing at the lake and, lucky for me, they have free high speed wireless internet access here. Joshua got a lure and he is off casting his head off. He hasn't caught anything though. James was fishing with a hook and some bread but he quickly lost interest and is playing with his bird friends. He's been feeding them for 15 minutes now and there is quite a crowd of birds around. At one point they alll just took off at the same time leaving James wondering what the heck happened, but they all came back in a minute.

It looks like Joshua may have slipped and got his feet wet. He's a little way off but he looks fine. He's having fun. I wish I could find a better place to take kids fishing, someplace the fish practically jump out of the water at you. I had a place like that when I was a kid. Joshua just got back and he didn't fall in. He was trying to get his lure - it was stuck. He didn't get wet.

James ran out of bread and I think it's about time to go. I'm hungry and James was eating the bread along with the birds. Now James is chasing birds with the fishing pole - it is time to go. He can't catch them but I don't want him to do that anyway. It's not nice.

How Does God Work?

In an article entitled The God Who Does Not Hear, Ron Dart explores why it seems God is so slow to answer prayer, if He answers at all. The conclusion reached is really quite incredible. This is a must read for anyone wishing to understand God.

But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24

Don't Try This At Home

Alexander Joseph Swandic, 20, died of a gunshot wound to the heart Monday after donning a protective vest and asking David John Hueth, 30, to shoot him, police said.

Another Darwin Award winner.

Welcome to the Jungle

What's up with arresting and handcuffing a 10 year old because she brought a pair of scissors to school?

America's public schools are now government schools, and they are in the hands of imbeciles.

This is a must read: Pencils and other lethal weapons

The scissors were discovered when students' belongings were being searched for property missing from a teacher's desk. The school's excuse for this absurdity: Porsche violated a rule against having dangerous weapons in her possession. So they called police and had her handcuffed and taken to the police station in a filthy paddy wagon.

Now if this isn't crazy enough, consider the fact that nobody ever told Porsche or her mother that having pair of scissors in school was forbidden. And that's not all: "I received a letter of things she needed for school and scissors were on there," Jackson revealed.

The school's excuse – weapons are banned from the premises and scissors could be used as a weapon. But a No. 2 lead pencil can be used as a deadly weapon. Jammed into someone's eye and into the brain it could kill the victim. Are No. 2 lead pencils banned? Of course not. Just about anything can be used as a weapon. A detective once showed me a fountain pen like the one he said had been used to kill someone. These laws are ridiculous. Sure, ban guns and daggers and explosive devices, but scissors?

If this were an isolated incident it might be considered an aberration. But this kind of nonsense is becoming commonplace in our idiotic government school system. Drugs are banned and a child can be expelled for having an aspirin. The school, however, doesn't hesitate to force kids to take drugs to make them more docile and manageable. And those drugs have been shown sometimes to provoke students to kill themselves or their classmates.

One word. Vouchers. Please.

He goes on to list other outrages being perpetrated by those who run government schools and concludes with:

These are all assaults on America's parents who have lost control of what were once "public" schools but have now been taken over by big government and a host of imbecilic educrats who can't tell a pair of scissors from a deadly weapon. These things will continue to happen until more and more parents yank their kids out of the government schools, or even better, take their schools back.

I Believe in Creation

Here's a excellent commentary by Joseph Farrah. Not many people are willing to take a stand against the doctrine of evolution.

The theory of evolution is now being treated like Holy Writ. That's not science. It's religion.

And no, God didn't use evolution to create the world we know. If one kind of animal could be changed to another through evolution, science would have done it by now. Do you think it hasn't been tried? If it was ever successful (no matter how slight) they would be shouting from the rooftops about it. They can create every color and variety of mouse or dog or cat or whatever, but they cannot breed one kind of animal into another. It just doesn't work.

If something in science suddenly becomes so sacrosanct that you can't question it, then it ceases to be science. It's actually a contradiction of the principles of science and the scientific method, which requires testing, evidence, proof.

Oh, they've tested all right. They can't do it. They say a chimp and a man share over 90% of the same DNA. So. They are similar creatures. Why wouldn't they share DNA? Why wouldn't the Designer use similar features in many animals? You can tell who makes a car by looking at it, can't you. You can tell an artist by the artwork. There are similar features in an artists work. Certain themes are visited over and over.

It seems to me when authorities are unwilling to accept any criticism of their doctrine, there is probably good reason. In the case of evolution, that reason is the theory itself is little more than speculation unsupported by evidence.

I've been through the indoctrination camps in high school and in college. I remain thoroughly convinced that evolution is nothing more than a religious tenet of secular humanism – unsupported by facts and unsupportable by facts. I am hardly alone.

No, he is not alone.

Evolutionists are incapable of selling their ideas in an open marketplace. Instead, they resort to Soviet-style coercion and censorship to impose their views on others. Remember, it was the communists who made a special point of teaching that God played no role in the creation of the universe and mankind. Evolution became their god, and history is repeating itself in America's classrooms today.

There's that Marxist/communist influence again, the religion of fools. That ties into a quote from a commentary by Peggy Noonan:

You can get so well educated in America that your thoughts become detached from common sense. You can get so complicated in your thinking that the obvious isn't real to you anymore.

Amen.
