33 Rounds? Why Not?

Why 33 rounds makes sense in a defensive weapon
In fact, the extended magazine actually vitiates the pistol's usefulness as a weapon for most needs, legitimate or illegitimate. The magazine destroys the pistol's essence; it is no longer concealable.
For those with criminal intent the 33 round magazine is more of a hindrance than a help. It is easy and fast enough to change out a smaller magazine, especially in a "gun free zone" with no one shooting back, with the benefit of easy concealability.

For the law abiding home defender concealability is not an issue and running out of ammo and having to reload while someone is trying to kill you can be devastating. Even so, it can be awkward and clumsy and is most used for target shooting or in case of SHTF situations. Most gun owners do not have or use them by choice. Operative word - choice.
