Tragic Wednesday

Great post by Dana Loesch: White Supremacist Kills Holocaust Museum Guard; Conservatives Get the Blame?

She also touches on Shepard Smith bashing conservatives during his coverage of the shooting. I saw that today and thought about why he doesn't go work for CNN. It's not the first time he's said something that didn't sit right with me. I don't watch him much, not if I have a choice - he was covering the unfolding events Wednesday.

Dana also links this post about this shooting taking place in a gun-free zone.

The shooter violated a number of laws - as a felon, he wasn't supposed to be able to buy a gun, wasn't allowed to own one, wasn't allowed to bring it into the museum and, oh yeah, it's against the law to murder someone. I guess adding a few more laws for him to ignore would have done the trick? Laws don't stop criminals, even if all the guns were gone, the criminal would kill with something else - a knife, a bomb, a homemade gun, a chainsaw, poison - the possibilities are endless.

Nothing is 100% but the only thing that stops most of this sort of thing is the criminal knowing he will be met with deadly force by his victims those who refuse to be victims.
