Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes is issuing a scathing attack on the nation's judges, saying their recent decisions could soon lead to the demise of the United States as we know it.

"Our republic is dying before our eyes in this generation," Keyes told a South Dakota audience of 1,200 this week, according to the Rapid City Journal. "It's no doubt we could be living in the last days of the American republic."

This country is being attacked from within and without. And there are many fronts in this war, a war that few recognize.

Except for the prospect of impeachment, Keyes offered little hope for the "sorry state of things" caused by a "wicked spirit loose in our world and in America."

Intel chief: Palestinians still want Israel destroyed

After three years of watching their society be ripped apart by launching the Intifada, the Palestinian people and their leadership still maintain the goal of destroying Israel, according to an assessment released yesterday by Israel's Military Intelligence research chief.

How much do they pay these guys to figure this out?

The Palestinian National Charter, written by Arafat in 1964, calls for a "phased destruction" of Israel through violence and acquiring territory through "peaceful negotiations" to be used to launch a final onslaught against the Jewish state.

Kuperwasser says the Palestinians still want to use the "right of return" of millions of so-called refugees from Israel's War of Independence to flood the Jewish state with enough Arabs to destroy its Jewish character.

Anyone know why Arabs have such single-minded purpose for so long even though they are literally destroying themselves in the process? Is it really such a bother for the Jews to have a little sliver of land? Are Jews really the monsters they are made out to be? Absolutely not! No way! How can so many people have so much hatred and intolerance, so much zeal, so much single-minded purpose that they are willing to live in squalor, put their children on the front lines and literally blow their own children up just for a chance to kill Jews? And celebrate it! Are they inhuman? No. They have been and are being influenced by a very powerful, evil spirit beings - the enemies of God. The entire Middle East region is under their spell. They own that area. They're doing their thing in the rest of the world too but the hatred hasn't reached the zenith it has in the Middle East - at least not yet.

I know that to most people, especially the educated it is anathema to even consider that. Nevertheless, it is the explanation. It is the only explanation and it is the truth. There will be no negotiating with them and you will not change their minds. No human being can reach into that cauldren of hate and talk sense into them or help them up and out of that mess. We are fighting a spiritual battle with physical weapons and God will not help us out of it, we sent Him packing and told Him to take His laws back with him. Unless we repent we are on our own. The time of relative safety is almost at an end and the years ahead of us will be tough. World War II was just a foretaste of what will happen in the future. Don't think so? What will happen when Iran has Nukes? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan already has them. The government of Iran is already extreme but how long before the governments of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan fall to the extremists? There has already been talk of just nuking Israel and any Arabs killed would be exceptable losses. Israel says it will bring down the pillars of civilization before it lets that happen. Will the rest of the world just stand by and let that happen? Perhaps they would be next.

We will not talk our way out of this.

Who Hates America, Who Hates Jews?

Dennis Prager takes a look at who hates America and why we shouldn't be ashamed of it: So, we're hated

Why have the Jews – always among the weakest and smallest of peoples – attracted the hatred of the most evil people? Because of what the Jews represented. The civility of the Jews' lives and the values the Jews brought into the world – especially ethical monotheism, i.e., a standard of right and wrong based on a moral and judging God – made them loathsome in the eyes of those who led particularly uncivil lives and who celebrated moral chaos and cruelty.

Turning to hatred of America, the same questions and answers apply.

Either America is evil, and hatred of it is merited, or America is a decent country and the haters are evil.

The correct explanation is so obvious that only one who already hates America or who is simply morally confused would choose the first.

Jews are hated by the most evil people not just because of what the Jews represent but because of who they are. It was through Judah that God provided the means by which all the efforts of Satan and his cohorts to destroy God's plan and His creation have been rendered useless and in vain. He has been disqualified as king and ruler of the Earth but he is still living here until the return Of Jesus Christ. He tried desperately to destroy Christ at His birth and throughout His life and tempted Him at every turn to get Him to sin just once, thereby rendering Him an unfit sacrifice and killing not only Christ but all humankind, for all time.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Finally, Satan was able to kill Jesus, or so he thought. I'm not sure Satan fully understood that it was God's plan that Jesus Christ must be killed, that He was the unblemeshed sacrifice that would atone for all the sins of humanity and would enable God to give the gift of eternal life to those who repent of living contrary to Gods laws. If he did understand then it was only his blind hatred that caused him to do it, perhaps his reasoning was Jesus would sin if tortured enough. Certainly no human being understood, the Jews were (and still are) expecting the Messiah to lead the physical nation of Israel to it's former glory, even though all the sacrificing that Israel was required to do pointed to the sacrifice of Christ.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

What is not understood is that He would come as a lamb to slaughter first, returning a second time in all the power and glory of the Eternal God, to conquer the nations of the world and bring the government of God (and salvation)to the whole world and not just the nation of Israel.

Now, although Satan and his demons are very powerful spirit beings they are not permitted to use their power directly against human beings or against the Earth. They can influence us, put thoughts and ideas into our minds and on occasion can actually enter into or possess us or animals. They can cause natural disasters, but not wholesale destruction. They live here among us and they have places they call home and they influence the culture and habits of those humans who live in the same place. The arch-angel Gabriel, speaking to Daniel, said:

But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief rulers, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:13

Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer(Satan) are the three covering cherubs, the most powerful angels who are leaders among angels. If the king of Persia could hold back Gabriel and it took Michael to help him, it's a good possibility the king of Persia was Satan himself and so Satan may call that part of the world his home. Persia was where Iraq is today, where King Nebuchadnezzar II ruled Babylon and Saddam Hussein was said to have believed himself a reincarnated Nebuchadnezzar, trying to recreate the Babylon of old.

Satan tried to destroy Jesus, but failed. He took a third of the angels with him in his rebellion against God.

And another sign was seen in the heavens. And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads! And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them onto the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman being about to bear, so that when she bears he might devour her child. And she bore a son, a male, who is going to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.

He started another war in heaven but was cast out and is now restricted to the earth ...

And there was war in Heaven. Michael and his angels warring against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels warred, but did not prevail. Nor was place found for them in Heaven any more. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent called Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

...where it is his great pleasure to persecute the Jews.

And that is real reason Jews have been persecuted so much.

Will the West survive?

The Muslim world is at war with Western civilization. We have the military might to thwart them. The question is: Do we have the intelligence to recognize the attack and the will to defend ourselves from annihilation?

There is no question that we could defeat them if we had the resolve we did during World War II, the problem is, half the country seems to be unable to recognize the seriousness of the threat against us and the ease with which they could cripple us without military might. Very few countries in this world would mind very much if the economy of the United States suddenly crashed, the European Union is readying itself to take over top spot in the world and the Euro could very well become the currency of choice worldwide in place of the dollar, the consequences of which is completely lost on the average American.

History never repeats itself exactly, but we might benefit from the knowledge of factors leading to the decline of past great civilizations. Rome was one of those advanced civilizations. Rome was so caught up in "bread and circuses" and moral decline that it couldn't manage to defend itself from invading barbaric hordes who ultimately plunged Europe into the Dark Ages. The sooner we recognize the West is in a war for survival, the more likely we'll be able to escape the fate that befell the Roman Empire.

Asks DeMint (Rep. Jim DeMint, campaigning for the Senate from South Carolina), "How can a nation survive when a majority of its citizens, now dependent on government services, no longer have the incentive to restrain the growth of government?" DeMint speaks of an "eleventh-hour crisis in our democracy."

His words echo those of Scottish Professor Alexander Tyler, writing more than 200 years ago, on the fall of the Athenian republic.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government," wrote Tyler. "It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship."

Just another sign of an approaching end.

Be Prepared

U.S. Needs to Prepare for Saudi, Middle East Collapse

The mistake we are making, though, is to be unprepared in the case of a Royal Family collapse and a Saudi reversal, away from us, including a cutoff of oil sales to the West.

We are clearly not ready for the devastating impact this could have on us and on the industrialized, oil-dependent West.

Just today al Qaida has attacked more oil pipelines in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and killed an Iraqi oil executive in northern Iraq. It is a day-by-day, drip-drip-drip destabilization of the region.

Clearly the instability has just begun.

We are almost completely unprepared for that. It is clear the American people are really not taking what is happening in the world today very seriously. Now a South Korean man is beheaded and the only thing our politicians can do is say they "condemn" such acts of terror. Everyone Condemns the act - even Saudi officials - but no one does anything about it. I have never more clearly seen the possibility of the collapse of the United States. By the time the country really feels the seriousness of what is happening it will most likely be too late.

It is the height of political and moral malpractice to not be ready for all possibilities.

Criminalizing Hate

Ex-'gays' accuse senators of discrimination

This is a new one for me. We have a hate crime bill to protect gays from supposed homophobic heterosexuals (would gay on gay crime be considered a hate crime under the bill?), now we need a new hate crime bill to protect ex-gays from ... I don't know ... homosexuals? Would heterosexuals still hate a guy who used to be homosexual but is now heterosexual? Wouldn't that be the same as heterosexual on heterosexual crime? Wouldn't it be more likely that a homosexual would hate the ex-homosexual more than a heterosexual would hate an ex-homosexual? Do homosexuals hate ex-heterosexuals? Do ex-heterosexuals hate heterosexuals? Do heterosexuals, ex-heterosexuals, homosexuals and ex-homosexuals all hate metrosexuals? Where do bisexuals fit in? What about ex-bisexuals? Ex-metrosexuals? Anyone?

The past few nights we've had some awesome lightning shows here, Saturday night in particular. They say Forida is the lightning capital of America but the very worst lightning (and storms) I've ever seen were in Abilene, Texas. The intensity was so much greater than any in Florida. They Don't Care

The hostages are "infidels" and have no value. To terrorists, they're of greater value dead, for the killing brings them closer to the Muhammad's teachings. They believe they're doing the will of Allah.

Psychopath

Are some people just born evil? Irretrievably evil? Most of us cannot even imagine some of the things we've been seeing going on in the world. Has it been three times now (or is it more) that we've seen terrorists cut the head off a human being with a knife? What about what Saddam* did during his years as head terrorist of Iraq? Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot? For most of us our minds cannot even process that evil. We see it but it can't be and we just have to do something else to take our minds off it. In electronics it's called clipping, our minds hit a wall, we just can't go there, although perhaps with practice we can get closer than we should. Is there something different about their minds that causes them to enjoy what most us find to be horrific? It's a popular notion of late that anyone can be reasoned with, anyone can be reached, especially among the left who say we should be negotiating with the terrorists - but is that true?

There are some clues here: The Depressive and the Psychopath: At last we know why the Columbine killers did it.

Harris and Klebold would have been dismayed that Columbine was dubbed the "worst school shooting in American history." They set their sights on eclipsing the world's greatest mass murderers, but the media never saw past the choice of venue. The school setting drove analysis in precisely the wrong direction.

Harris is the challenge. He was sweet-faced and well-spoken. Adults, and even some other kids, described him as "nice." But Harris was cold, calculating, and homicidal. "Klebold was hurting inside while Harris wanted to hurt people," Fuselier says. Harris was not merely a troubled kid, the psychiatrists say, he was a psychopath.

"Psychopaths are not disoriented or out of touch with reality, nor do they experience the delusions, hallucinations, or intense subjective distress that characterize most other mental disorders," writes Dr. Robert Hare, in Without Conscience, the seminal book on the condition. (Hare is also one of the psychologists consulted by the FBI about Columbine and by Slate for this story*.) "Unlike psychotic individuals, psychopaths are rational and aware of what they are doing and why. Their behavior is the result of choice, freely exercised."

Sounds familiar, terrorists are rational and aware of what they are doing and why. They choose evil. They choose to hurt people. Whatever torchered reasoning they use to excuse their behavior is beside the point - Al Queda is a psychopath club not an army - and they should be treated as such.

The psychiatrists can't help speculating what might have happened if Columbine had never happened. Klebold, they agree, would never have pulled off Columbine without Harris. He might have gotten caught for some petty crime, gotten help in the process, and conceivably could have gone on to live a normal life.

Their view of Harris is more reassuring, in a certain way. Harris was not a wayward boy who could have been rescued. Harris, they believe, was irretrievable. He was a brilliant killer without a conscience, searching for the most diabolical scheme imaginable. If he had lived to adulthood and developed his murderous skills for many more years, there is no telling what he could have done. His death at Columbine may have stopped him from doing something even worse.

Harris was irretrievable.

Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? No, in heart you work wickedness; You weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; They are like the deaf cobra that stops its ear, Which will not heed the voice of charmers, Charming ever so skillfully. Psychopaths, like the deaf cobra, are immune to the skillful charmers (psychologists). You can talk to them, reason with them, plead with them - it makes no difference to them. They don't care. They can't. Their heart is darkness. It says "they go astray as soon as they are born" and there are people out there like that. Don't let anyone fool you, there is evil in this world, evil you cannot even imagine.

Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:43-44

And although it seems all to often evil triumphs in this world we live in and is on the increase, there is good news on the horizon.

"For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the Lord of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 4:1-3

The day is coming when there will be no more evil and the wicked of this world will be burned up - ashes - just mixed with the elements of the earth - gone. It can't come soon enough.

*Good news for Saddam, btw, he might get the death penalty if he is found guilty - hope he doesn't get Johnny Cochran - he says wondering why there is a "might" and an "if" in that sentance.

I asked James if he wanted me to take the training wheels off his bike the other day and he said yes. I held the bike for him and he started going and rode to the end of the driveway (it's a long driveway). I was with him but I had let go. He went up and down the driveway like that a few more times and that was all he wanted to do. He didn't fall and he rode great as long as he went straight. He even stopped OK. I guess he was ready to get rid of those training wheels.

They Fear Us?

I've heard alot of talk lately from Democrats about how we (the U.S.) are so feared by the rest of the world and it's all a bunch of B.S., but of course, that's all you get from Democrats these days. They're afraid all right, afraid they won't be able to dominate, pillage, rape, steal, or otherwise take over the world as long as we (the U.S.) exist. They are afraid of the United States the way a drug dealer is afraid of the cops. They hate us, they don't want to be caught red handed, but they know we have to follow the rules and laws and they can get away with alot. And yes, they want us out of business.

Think of it this way: Once, Greece and Rome possessed great military power. Both invaded their neighbors. When the Ottoman Empire had great military power in the 1500s, it invaded its neighbors. When France had great military power in the 1800s, it invaded its neighbors. The Soviet Union held half of Europe for generations -- because it could.

But we have great power, and we’re benevolent. If we decided to, we could conquer the entire planet. Even if all the militaries of all the world combined, we’d still defeat them. Easily.

We’d shoot down every enemy plane, sink every enemy ship, and kill as many enemy soldiers as necessary before they all surrendered. And it’s not just atomic weapons. We could win, and would win, with only conventional weapons.

This sort of restraint is new. It’s never existed before, and, based on history, it should inspire fear around the world. But it doesn’t. Canada’s the proof.

There is no fear of the United States out there.

Sharon: We will never give up Jerusalem

"Jerusalem will remain the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people," said Sharon at a dinner and dedication ceremony for Jerusalem's new Menachem Begin Heritage Center, just one week after Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, a close political ally of Sharon, said he is willing to cede Israeli control over at least six Arab neighborhoods that lie on the periphery of Jerusalem.

Of course, Palestinians and Muslims the world over believe Israel has no right to be there whatsoever and are very willing to kill and be killed over it. It's a holy land to Christians as well but they are not fighting over it yet. Perhaps that will come. Who knows, the Pope may decide his presence is needed to keep the peace.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Zechariah 12:3
