Anti-Semitism is Spreading

"It is anti-Semitism under the banner of human rights at a time when human rights is the new secular religion," Cotler said. "Israel is characterized as the human rights violator of our time, so that it emerges as a new kind of anti-Christ."

I wouldn't say Israel is perfect, but no clear thinking individual can say in a million years that Israel is "the human rights violator of our time." That's completely insane. What about (insert Muslim country here)? What about N. Korea or China? African countries? Do they count? Cuba? Getting better, but Central America, South America and Mexico? Israel is worse than all those? Israel is defending itself in a war. It's not even doing that nearly as strong as it could. Or should. They're bending over backwards to keep from hurting as many as possible. If Israel was "the human rights violator of our time" their would be no Palestinians to worry about. Iraq would have been glass a long time ago, as would Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Along with any other country who had it in there hearts to destroy Israel.

Israel, which is actually the nation of Judah in the Old Testament (The ancient nation of Israel was seperate from and sometimes at war with "the Jews." A nickname for Judah.), is not, in my opinion, God's country as it now stands (in the sense that God is with them, blessing them, protecting them and destroying their enemies.). The entire history of Israel and Judah in the Bible is one of failure on the part of the people to obey God and do as He said. They were often taken into captivity by other nations and many times killed. When they obeyed God they were blessed and when they didn't (mostly) they were left to the whim of other nations and not protected or blessed. It was that way then, as well as when Christ walked the earth (they didn't recognize the Messiah because they had gone off away from God, their own way, and formed their own religion based on their interpretations of the Scriptures. He didn't fit the mold they were looking for. He didn't do what they expected Him to, restore Israel. It's the same with Christians today, if Christ walked among them they wouldn't know him, would resent His teachings and would kill Him.), and it's that way now.

I'm not trashing Israel, no nation on the face of the earth is obeying God, Israel is not worse or better than any other in that regard. Israel, Judah of old, keeps God's Sabbath, a sign between God and His people. Ancient Israel stopped keeping the Sabbath and blended in with the gentile nations (actually taken into captivity over many years). Israel is singled out of all the nations of the world as "the human rights violators of our time." What else is new? The United States and Britain are not far behind on that list in the view of world opinion. It doesn't matter if it's true or not.

I'll step off now. If that didn't make any sense, don't worry, it's just me. I will return to regular blogging now.

Venezuela to replace US dollar with Euro

Venezuelan move to replace US$ with the Euro upsetting Washington more than Saddam's Euro conversion last November

They're lining up to convert. Who's next? This is something to be concerned about.
